Hu Yanbin is a well-established composer-singer in China. In this musical variety series, the “permanent” performers (Zhou Shen, Hu Yanbin and another 3) pair up with guests through a bidding system. 11 of 12 episodes have aired and Zhou Shen is top notch in 9 of the 11 so far. The other “permanent” performers are all pretty solid too.

THIEF is a song dedicated to condemn 'spreading of fake on-line information'. These information may mislead the public and may be used as smearing attack on individuals or entities. Realised that both singers were performing with high emotion showing their rejection of these sort of behaviour.

I love this performance. This is only the second time I've watched it. Glad you reacted to it and reminded me of it. I learned of Zhou Shen here on this channel. Now I have a playlist with tons of songs on it on a Spotify. Problem has been finding English titles so I can look for video's here. My translator doesn't work on Spotify. Thx for the intro. You also introduced me to Dimash and Diana amongst others. 😎
"Hu" sounds so much like the word "who" but the last tone has to go "up" just like a "question sentence ending "~~~

I love this show. Sadly it’s almost finished. I’ll explain it to you.
The people you see in the white chairs are split into 3 groups.
1 - The music critics (who comment and decide who wins the episode).
2 - The house singers (Hu Yanbin, Zhou Shen, Hu Haiquan, Zhang Shaohan aka Angela Zhang, Zhang Bichen and GAI) they also comment.
3 - The guest singers. They change fairly frequently with some repeats. They have to sing together and petition the house singers for the chance to sing with them. Which is why there are so many duets. The singers that are selected get to move on to the second bit.
After the pairs have been selected they choose and arrange a song together. Before they have to perform it on stage. These are the songs that are judged and can win the week. This week, today actually, is the final episode (I think, they usually have 12).
I love seeing what they come up with together. It’s always interesting. After Zhou Shen, Hu Yanbin is my favourite house singer.
