    This car has just incredible attention to detail. Down to the little ambient lights and everything. It has heated rear seats which was quite a luxury for the time. It also had a gear shifter that is in my opinion better than the current gear shifter btw has on this car now. It has comfortable seats and quite a beauty engine too. Everything about this car is why I love BMW so much because it was just about perfect.

      NOT IF YOU GET A WARRANTY COVERAGED

    • @ThePatrickBateman69
      @ThePatrickBateman69 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mark Joseph exactly. you have to get one under 50k miles & buy the BMW extended warranty for stress-free driving

    • @ThePatrickBateman69
      @ThePatrickBateman69 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Mark Joseph btw the warranty doesn't cover maintainence. so you still have to get it serviced for brakes, rotors, oil, filters, etc. The maintainence plan is completely not connected to the warranty. I wouldn't buy the maintainence plan anyway because you're not even getting that much of a discount by paying all at once for maintainence vs over time. I Would say maintence is fine because it's mistly covered under warranty for faulty parts but regular maintence would be less than 1k a year if even that.

    @auaq I have a 2011 X5 with the same engine, and a week after we bought it, we drove over 800 Miles to go to a wedding. We averaged right at about 30 MPG with a highway speed of 75-80 MPH. I think the X5 is a little heavier than the 5 Series and isn't as low to the ground 'sleek' as the 535i is, thus the difference in mileage.
    The X5 with the same 300HP in-line 6 returns a consistent 23/24 MPG at each fill up. Once this engine is broken in, it really wakes up and you can feel the difference.

    Great car that has aged incredibly well, I didn’t like it when it was released, I thought it was too bland, possibly because it was a non sport model.
    My favorite of this era was the Jaguar XF, which I still think is beautiful, but the BMW, especially the interior, kept up with the time really really well.

  • @auaq
    @auaq 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Vonnx3 For your information, BMW has never made a v6 configuration engine but only inline-6 or straight-6 engines and always at a slant angle. Every time the bonnet is up you would notice the engine is inclined at a certain angle and this is true for inline-4 and inline-6 engines. They have made plentiful v8 engines, one v10 engine, and v12 engines. They have once made a v16 engine for the rolls-royce but never put it into production although they still have it.

    Also weird that it has rear heated seats but no 4-zone climate control (two extra zones for rear passengers).

    Actually, have you heard the M5 without the system on, sounds exactly the same, it's more for inside entertainment due to the isolation of the cabin for road noise. Also, these straight six engines have a very pure exhaust note, and BMW does a lot to reduce noise from exhaust notes. I think it shows some kind of sublety. Anyway you can always ask your dealer to remove some of the resonators and give it a more direct sound if that's what you're looking for.

    Twin scroll not twin turbo. It's one turbo with two scrolls one larger than the other bro. Also the turbs doesn't kick in until later rpms. It saves gas in that you don't start moving until the turbo spools around 3500 rpm

    To answer your question to the full, True "M" cars are much more powerful and aggressive looking than a BMW with just an M sport package treatment. Take the M6 has over 500lb torque and 560Hp but a regular 6 series has just 445hp and a little over 400lb torque. With an M pkg treatment, it looks a little clean and special in a way compared to a regular 6 series. same to 3 series with the M3 and 5 series with the M5 or the X5M with a regular X5. Hope this helps, thx

      +Turnt alien What year? Because, if it's from the dealer, it should go for 27k+

      +Turnt alien Hmmm... I'm not sure about that man, it could be that theres a lot of miles on it or it has a very low condition report. I got my 2012 528i m sport with 37k miles on it for 36,000.

    In regards to the 535i engine, the in-line Turbo 6 with 300HP is all you need. You can drop some additional cash on the V8 with 400HP, but for the money, the 300HP in-line 6 is the ultimate way to go. No power lagging issues with this car at all. In addition to that, I average about 33+ on the highway with the cruise set at 80! Normal day to day driving (real world) is going to return more around 28-30 depending on how you drive.

      BMW V8 engines are pretty unreliable and this is coming from someone with a 1995 740i also had a 2005 V8 6 series. I’d say anything above 2015 for the V8’s. My buddy’s 2016 V8 Beamer has lasted him awhile and good on gas.

    Im deciding between the 550i M Sport and an E550 Merc, so Ive test driven both a few times. Every visit to the BMW dealership includes a sales rep attempting to talk me into the 535i when I express interest in the 550i. Why do you suppose that is?
