I don’t mean to be a downer and i don’t know what this was written about, but I’m in rehab about a week into being off opiates for the first time in 20 years. I’m in a tiny town out west, I keep listening to this as I sit by myself early in the morning watching the starry sky turn into day, listening to the river flow free, and the song is just perfect.
It’s a great song. I hope you’re doing well. Recovering from something like that is hard, but music sure helps. I’m not quite sure what it’s about either, but it just seems like such a perfect song.
I introduced this song to my former boss during the height of COVID - work team was putting together a song playlist. He said he really really loved this song. He told us shortly after he had cancer, and recently passed away last November of 2021. I like to believe he thought of these lyrics as a reflection of his life and his wife... "...looking back over my life, spent the most of it tongue tied.... I wish I had more time, listening to you speak your mind... thinking bout her everyday on my mind atypical way....are you a life force?" He was an amazing boss but more of a friend than anything. He was a great leader and I miss him. I always think about him every time I hear this song. You never know when you'll lose a friend. RIP Terry

Driving through West Virginia And I've seldom been thinner With that chip on my shoulder And this past year I got so much older Lookin' back over my life Spent the most of it tongue tied I wish I'd had more time Listenin' to you speak your mind Now I'm thinkin' about her everyday On my mind, atypical way Are you a life force? Thinkin' about her everyday On my mind, atypical way Are you a life force? Drinkin' coffee black as iron And I couldn't be much higher Without fallin' out of my chair I've been so numb for so many years Now I'm thinkin' about her everyday On my mind, atypical way Are you a life force? Thinking about her everyday On my mind, atypical way Are you a life force? And it's so easy To be blinded by the light To feel lonely in the night This blowing in the breeze babe I got dust in my eyes And rust in my mind I'll be home come next spring Won't you say you love me later, by and by Looking back over life Spent the most of it tongue tied Pullin' my belt tight It's just me and the stars tonight Two fingers and a tight line Keep my head above the alpine Just wish I'd spent more time Listenin' to her speak her mind Thinking about her everyday On my mind atypical way Are you a life force? Thinking about her everyday On my mind atypical way Are you a life force? Thinking about her everyday On my mind atypical way Are you a life force? This song to me is about the one you lost, not all the way out of your life but you just keep circling each other and the universe won’t let you be together. You know each other better than anyone ever could but circumstances dictate otherwise. So in the quiet times you think about the times together, no matter how insignificant and they mean everything.

Best song of the new album so far. Love it so much
This wraps up my life.
What a great story, with all the turmoil in the world these days. This shows people still have good in them. Are problems, fears, tragedy. Can be overcome together. With love.
Look up Avery Jackson principal BYU. That's what I meant to post too
If I weren't one I'm gonna start being one. Thanks. Life Force. Love that. 😊
Driving through West Virginia
And I've seldom been thinner
With that chip on my shoulder
And this past year I got so much older
Lookin' back over my life
Spent the most of it tongue tied
I wish I'd had more time
Listenin' to you speak your mind
Now I'm thinkin' about her everyday
On my mind, atypical way
Are you a life force?
Thinkin' about her everyday
On my mind, atypical way
Are you a life force?
Drinkin' coffee black as iron
And I couldn't be much higher
Without fallin' out of my chair
I've been so numb for so many years
Now I'm thinkin' about her everyday
On my mind, atypical way
Are you a life force?
Thinking about her everyday
On my mind, atypical way
Are you a life force?
And it's so easy
To be blinded by the light
To feel lonely in the night
This blowing in the breeze babe
I got dust in my eyes
And rust in my mind
I'll be home come next spring
Won't you say you love me later, by and by
Looking back over life
Spent the most of it tongue tied
Pullin' my belt tight
It's just me and the stars tonight
Two fingers and a tight line
Keep my head above the alpine
Just wish I'd spent more time
Listenin' to her speak her mind
Thinking about her everyday
On my mind atypical way
Are you a life force?
Thinking about her everyday
On my mind atypical way
Are you a life force?
Thinking about her everyday
On my mind atypical way
Are you a life force?
Thinking about her everyday
On my mind atypical way
Are you a life force
For me?
Thanks buddy!
Close to answers but can't recall the questions.
You're the real MVP
Plz tell me why i thought it was "drinking coffee black as i am" knowing damn well the singer is white 💀 i thought it was another way of saying hes been on the road for a long time 😭😂
@@ashdeadwood2155 so the longer you are on the road, the blacker you get?
FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!,,,,,ANOTHER BLAST WITH CAAMP,,,,,,JUST DIGGING IT!!!!! HERE WE GO KENTUCKY....
The Bluegrass Baby!
I love this song and don't know why more of your songs aren't on the radio!!!
I’m sure I’m not the only one that when they listen to this song it just brings up a bunch of memories some bad, but mostly good ones. Love this band even if I don’t listen to them often, but I always end up coming back to them.
Man i dont even listen to this typa music but this shit go crazy 😭
至高。私は英語に疎いけれども、なんだかずっと聴いていたいような、そんな歌です。マスクのないフェスで聴きたいな!
Heard this on the radio for the first time today driving to work. Awesome song!
I'm listening to this song right now after hearing it over a dozen times, & there's lyrics & instruments I hadn't noticed before.
This song to me is about the one you lost, not all the way out of your life but you just keep circling each other and the universe won’t let you be together. You know each other better than anyone ever could but circumstances dictate otherwise. So in the quiet times you think about the times together, no matter how insignificant and they mean everything.
THIS!! All I do is think about her! Those beautiful brown eyes and bright smile that makes the world around me stop! But we can't live with, or without each other🥺
I just hope she finds what she's looking for! If she's happy im happy.
This has me crying so baad 😢
This song is so beautiful everything about it hits so strong.
Speaks to my soul.
Soulful voice and enchanting instrumentals
I picture myself with the one I'm supposed to be with.. whether I just met him or it's still pending... A simpler, yet complexly fulfilling life... I imagine.
"Been so numb for so many years"...your music speaks life back to my ears ❤
I head this song for the first time on the radio in the Midwest driving to work at 4:30 am. Dope sick and balling in tears over the beauty and complexity yet simplicity of this song. It forever changed my life. Thank you 🙏🏻 still truckin on with life but been clean from dope for almost 5 years
A stuff with bears always good
Check out bears den. 👌🏻
A camping bear none the less
@@GoblinedNghouled phenomenal band. Got to see them last year before all this virus shit. Tiny venue, met some people from the "crow" video. Really really good show 👍
I remember hearing this on alt nation. My mom added it to her playlist and we would drive through the woods during covid playing this song just saying nothing. I have never thought any caamp song was annoying. I live this
A great day to listen to this song. In hard times comes peace of mind listening to comforting music. Sometimes some songs will just transcend time. This song will definitely be one for me. ❤️
Just discovered this song but I feel like I've known it forever! Love and peace and real feelings for the win!❤️😬😁
this song makes you feel things
This is my favorite calm time song.
Sweet tune, made me feel happy inside, imagine seeing them in a venue with them playing and let us sing along...
5 months clean from opioids 😁🥰
Congratulations 🎊 that's no easy feat. I'm proud of you 👏 ❤

@@travislong2176 damn, that first week must've been hard, well done for staying clean for so long 💜
@@GracieTheKoala it was cold turkey off methadone so ya the first month was torture but it was definitely a wake up sign to never feel that way again.
This song is absolutely beautiful.
One of the most beautiful bands and song writers today;)
Caamp is amazing I love their songs ❤
Love a band utilising Banjo. Caamp and Elliott Brood keep me smiling through these trying times.
This song was playing as my wife laid with her eyes closed and I had her imagine our life with our first born son, then I asked her to think of our life with our daughter, then I placed the paper with the news that our first born would be a little girl. This song was on while we cried tears of joy....welcome to the world my little star Lily
Welcome Lily!! Give your parents’ music a chance!
❤
Man this one pulls heart strings
My amazing taste of music brought me here
Stephanie theRavenclaw mine too
Try avett brothers too their new album sucks tho
Ha ha your silly . 👌🌎❤
@@PapiBeeks ummm no it doesn't BUT to each it's own I guess...it's definitely not like their past stuff so yes, if that's what you're saying I feel ya❤🤙🏼
@@PapiBeeks it def isnt the same as their older albums but I still really enjoy it. Im from & live in NC so I kinda have a soft spot for those who started here. Also TBH they are a band I LOVE a few songs off the album and the rest are easily listenable but not stuff I actively research for. January wedding is still my favorite song of theirs.
One of the best songs of all times.
Music can save lives.... Wow ❤️
Was thinking the same thing. Saved mine a few times..
Thanks to a buddy, during a camping trip at Black Hawk Lake in Wisconsin, i found a new favorite artist. It's more than art, and I appreciate it
Wish I spent more time LISTENING TO HER SPEAK HER MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song makes water flow out of my eyes and I can't stop it. Love the song
I dont know how TH-cam brought me here, I dont care. All I ask is that the same force bring Caamp to South Africa ♥♥♥
Daughter turned me on to this song. It is great guys. She got her taste in music from dear ole dad.
A very nice song. I hear it every day on the way to work. I feel free, Greetings from Germany :-)
This is one of those songs you put on repeat and it doesn’t get old until maybe the 100th time? … maybe
