I have the A5 one for real flying. And find its to big for the cockpit. And a faf when flicking though charts.

This is not a Black Hog product. You can buy them from Black Hog but also from many other pilot resource websites and stores for less money usually as well, these are actual real life pilot kneeboards. I have one in my basket on Amazon currently at £25 plus postage.

That is exactly the reason for the plastic - you can write on it and not permanently mark that is below. So you can note down freqs clearances etc and still have the info on the paper below

Nice might get one for myself as im so forgetful i forget who i am......any way just a suggestion if it doesn't work out on the knee . You could always strap it to one of your arm rests on your chair . As currently i do what you do and use note pad books ......i have a whole collection of them on my computer desk !!! . Anyway Dave nice chatting can't wait to see the next video from RG !!!! :-)

Cap: Sign me up for the app! I've been watching your vids for a couple of years and have now invested. Ryzen 3600x, MSI Radeon 5600-XT Mech and starting off learning the A-10C. I can get it up AND down again and occasionally hit the things that I throw stuff at! Not bad for a week! Your app idea would really be a great way of learning the systems whilst using DCS. Keep it up and give Pickles a high 4 from me!

I use that kneeboard in real life! Can recommend!
Regards the weird looking thing on the top-right corner in the pictures, that's a Carbon Monoxide detector. Usually, that hole in the corner of the kneeboard is instead used to hold a stopwatch, very handy for timing your holds and turns etc.
One problem I have with mine is the metal clip allows your paper pad to slide around - it needs some grippy rubber "feet" to hold the paper in place.
Any idea where one might buy a couple of suitable feet?

got a feeling the see through is to lay over your vfr writing pads, so you can scribble things down with a chinagraph pencil, then wipe it off when your done, so your not wasting vfr pads?

3:50 could be used with a blackboard marker: make a mission template with all the relative info (call signs, mission briefing, etc) with blank spaces for the actual date, you would write on the plastic flap and when you're done, just wipe over it and re-write on it!
