How To Modify Flyboys Knee Board to Work With both iPad Mini and Notepad

This is a way to modify a Flyboys kneeboard to work with an iPad mini. Good for VFR flight when you primarily use the iPad and don’t take notes much. Super easy and quick to do with basic supplies. The plastic board I cut is still a work in progress, and I plan on cleaning it up to look better.

I’ve been looking for a good knee board to use with my iPad mini and couldn’t really find one I liked. Until I found your video, absolutely brilliant! I am an army aviator and already have lots of gear to deal with and having two knee boards was out of the question. Thanks for a great mod!

I’m an Air Force RC-135 pilot and I have looked for a method of having an iPad and notepad both functionally on the same kneeboard and I have found nothing for sale that met that need until I found this. This is perfect.

Does this damage/leave marks on the clear strap where you threaded it through the board? Just a bit conscious because it's not a cheap kneeboard. Otherwise it's a really clever idea!

Yeah the only issue is that the ipad cover flap might get in the way and be annoying
