Great comparison to Sigur Ros. This is really a post-rock atmospheric song. This is one of Thom's best vocal performances because it all showcases him so well. Selway's drums are great even when they are subtle.
I can tell you are getting it. Try "Where I End and You Begin (The Sky is Falling In)" from the album "Hail to the Thief". You will get it. You will love it. They performed it on the same "From the Basement" session that you are diving into.
Some of my favorite Radiohead tracks that push the envelope a bit: A Wolf At The Door, The National Anthem, Paranoid Android, Pyramid Song, These Are My Twisted Words, Amazing Sounds of Orgy
I love your Radiohead reactions! Sigur Rós actually were the opening act for Radiohead in 2000, as you can imagine that was a magical combination. It was in a big circus tent in a field, it was absolutely amazing.
These were interesting choices for first Radiohead reactions! Others that arent normally reacted to but are great: Staircase These are my Twisted Words Dollars and Cents Decks Dark Ill Wind
What a beautiful song and what an enjoyable reaction video. I'm loving the Radiohead videos, Brian - please keep them coming. P.S.: The drummer is called Philip Selway 👍
Great reaction! A couple you might find interesting from 2001 are The Amazing Sounds of Orgy and Cuttooth, both b-sides so not often reacted to. I think you’ll love them.
Important to point out that the piano part is syncopated on this song. So Thom is singing on the downbeats, but playing the piano in syncopation.
Thanks for the Radiohead reactions! Recommendations- Daily Mail, Bodysnatchers and Where I End And You Begin.
I'll check those it out!

Oh wow! I have seen Sigur Ros a few times, always good.
'How to Disappear Completely' is a stunner! You can't go far wrong with Radiohead, though.
