They want him back, and he deserves to win a cup here. Pay him big short term, then bring him back for a bit cheaper. If he gets traded, it will hit me hard. He has so much potential, and at only age 25, he could very well be the next 100 point man. Just imagine MILLER and him both hitting 100.

I went through exactly the same thing with my dad (Parkinson's and Dementia), and I also work at a care home for dementia and Alzheimer's patients. My father passed when I was 28, I could not imagine being expected to perform as a world class athlete while going through the end stages of his life. It was hard enough with a 9-5 job. I wouldn't have wanted a stranger asking me about it in front of a TV camera that's for sure. He should have asked him off the record if actually cared about how his Dad was doing.

I went through the same thing with my dad here in Minnesota. My dad passed in October. Was one of the toughest things I have ever had to go through. Due to Covid-19 I could only see him a handful of times the last 2 years. My dad made me promise to coach youth hockey. So just before he died I signed up to Coach without a kid in the organization. Was the most rewarding year in Hockey I have ever had. God Speed Brock! Much respect for you!

@@cotland-ou4oq Ehh I know what you're saying, but nahhh. It's a high risk, low reward question. It didn't need to be asked. If it was that important to get the news on Brock's Father, he could have found a way to find out the answer prior to the media availability, and if it's bad news, don't ask, if it's good news, go ahead and ask. It seems like you're lazily using a principle (responses are out of your control) to avoid confronting common sense.

Keep the questions linked to the sport. None of us have any right prying into these people's personal lives. I can only imagine how hard it has been for him to put up a front, play such a demanding game at the highest level, and try to stay focused with that going on at home. Especially so young. The only way to make that happen is by putting up a sturdy wall to block that from your thoughts while at work. I don't think this was in good taste to bring up as it obviously tore down that wall immediately. We're here to be a fans of the sport, and support player/team development, not to be divulgent into their entire lives.
All the best to Brock and the family.
