Way more interesting if players and commentators were actually able to relax and be themselves without worrying who they might offend. As a Canucks fan, though the network took him off of the game coverage line up, I am not very happy to see him on the Sportsnet Central post-game coverage after Game 1 tonight. I have watched his disparaging comments towards myself and the team I have cheered for for 47 years on a few occassions, and it comes off as a personal attack against.me and my character for cheering for the Canucks. It irks me to still see him still getting national exposure after these comments. I'm sorry but Luke Gaxdic has to be removed from any type of national coverage, with his visibility limited to just Oilers-based homer type podcasts. For contrast, there are other Edmonton based sportscasters and hosts like Chris Cuthbert, Craig Simpson, and Gene Principe that I have watched, and never once have these hosts made me feel that they have any disdain toward the Canucks organization or their fans. I have watched Cuthbert cover Oilers vs Canucks games since the early 1980s. Though he would likely personally support the Oilers over the Canucks, he has never once shown it let alone express any personal disdain toward the Canucks organization and their fans.
