Thanks for the info! Water has leaked into my Boxster twice. Because of the water I have had to replace the rear control module twice. The cost was over $3000 each time. I have put my control module which is located under the driver's seat in Tupperware as a precaution.
Hi guys. I have the same problem with my Boxster 987.1. I had also to replace the comfort module under the seat. Check carefully the plate behind the battery and under the wiper mecanism. There's a black plate there where the air-conditioning lines are fixed. This plate has a sealing all around that seals the habitacle from the trunk zone. I solved the problem applying some caulk putty all around.

Hey Allen. Thanks for the comment. Make sure you watch the other videos in that channel too especially the one on how to waterproof the roof.

You can buy a professional casing but now that you mention it, Tupperware is a good idea unless it melts.
Do you know what the part numbers were for the seal at 6:57 (both right and left)? My felt is worn, and water seeps in at those points
Unfortunately I don’t but it is easy to get a hold of the part but they are not cheap. I remember it being two hundred pounds plus.
Great vid! thanks for sharing.
Where did you buy the roof seal? the one above the mirrors where the roof connected.
I got that from Porsche. It was really expensive. Over 120 pounds if I remember correctly .some say you can use a rubber softener to recreate the seal
What rear spoiler do you have?
It's the spoiler that comes with the SE edition 2008
what camera have you got attached there? also is that a cellphone antenna stuck onto the windscreen?
It is a Halo John.
That is a dab radio antenna. I'm not sure phone antennas are q thing nowadays
Well done great
Thank you for watching.
