Балбес, мало того что грязные руки, так он еще и закон ома не знает. Такая схема долго не протянет, при определенных положениях движка резистора, они сгорят в течении нескольких секунд.
В ленту вшиты резисторы 0.125Вт. на каждые 3 светодиода. Через каждый резистор бежит ток около 20-30мА. А балбес с грязными руками ставит резистор на 0.5Вт на всю ленту и через него может бежать ток до 1.5А (когда у него сопротивление 0.5 - 1 Ом. Переменные резисторы у него на 47К 0.5Вт, это значит что максимальный ток у него SQR(0.5/47000)=3.2 мА
На сколько я понял, в ролике взяли 12 штук для примера, а народ будет тулить на метровую. Хорошо, уговорил, 0.4 А / 5 =0.08 А, а резистор рассчитан на 0.0032А. Ток превышает допустимый в 25 раз.

This is perfect example how not to control rgb strip, this pot can't hold amperage more than few minute.

Just add 3 of those mini 360 buck converters to each led. Pots might burn after a while or with heavy load.

It should be fine if you solder to the copper pads on the strip. That's what they're there for.
well the strips i have doest have the copper on it. but looks like you can easy ad a bit on it like you did with the white wire

С чего это вдруг сгорят? Токоограничивающие резюки в ленту вшиты.
В ленту вшиты резисторы 0.125Вт. на каждые 3 светодиода. Через каждый резистор бежит ток около 20-30мА. А балбес с грязными руками ставит резистор на 0.5Вт на всю ленту и через него может бежать ток до 1.5А (когда у него сопротивление 0.5 - 1 Ом. Метр такой ленты при плотности 60/1м кушает 1,2 А. Но это на три канала RGB, т.е. на один канал приходится 0,4 А./60LED. В видео всего 12штук.
