You can figure out the can circumference must be equal to the distance between the LEDs that you want to align in a straight vertical line. Circumference is equal to PI x diameter, so diameter is the distance between LEDs divided by PI.
If your can is smaller than that, just use some kind of adhesive tape to build up the can to suit the size you need. No need to get lucky in finding a can that just happens to be the exact size.

In the third one (the ring counter), replace the 1 megohm resistors with pots, or 100k's to make clocking 10x.

I'm very curious how in the first clip a rgb strip, analoge led strip has been altered to recieve a specific signal? Skipping and Changing, running a specific Digital code. We make total led strip screens, our last project was 120000 led pixels, digital. Analoge pixel, this is not possable.

You could wrap the first light in some plastic wrap to diffuse the colors... otherwise the secondary colors are pretty useless and the fade dim effects.

Pro tip: If you will buy a RGB led strip, see if it 5050. The 5050 led RGB strip have 3 LEDs in every diode. But the LEDs in the video, have 1 per diode.

I spotted a few annoying issues with this video that made me hate it. But I drew that line when I'm the 3rd clip he goes to place the 2nd capacitor on the transistor and the first transistor magically changed. I watched that part 10x to see if my eyes were just joking with me and I can still see the change. Something's wrong.
