This must have been fun for Hassan who has enormous range. How can you win an 800 meter race and then a few days later set a world record in the 10000? I followed the career of Haile Gebrselassie and he could do this too, but who else?
Bekele did that as well. Not the 800, but everything else
@@branching123 yes of course, Kenenisa Bekele had about the same range as Gebrselassie. Mo Farah has excellent range as well. Paul Tergat was an all-time great too.

Hasan's running form is awkward. But she gets the job done. The most graceful is Genzebe, a thrill to watch.
Her form is perfect in my opinion.

She has such skinny arms and legs makes you wonder where is the muscles, but at the same time very light weight. She is something special.

Hassan looks so damn smooth, I'm always impressed to see her run.
Shes fast but shes anything but smooth, she looks like shes running on an injury all the time because of her form even though shes not. Someone like Gidey or Dibaba are smooth runners but Hassan is not.

@@stayontrack Probably because the 10000 is so much longer and her form deteriorates as the race progresses.
@@rasher331 it may be questionable to say her form detoriates but one thing for sure is her pace picked up that last 400 to 800m during her World record 10.000m scary times !!! Olympics is going to be on fire 🔥 if it goes ahead !!
@@scotty2hottymykindapeople955 I didnt say she gets slower, I said her form deteriorates. Paula Radcliffes form used to deteriorate really badly as she progressed in races with her head boobing etc but she was winning the races.

Although she won this race it was a shocking performance. What was she doing? Probably just very rusty at running this distance but I have an eye on her now to see how she is doing over the next few weeks.

The commentator was rooting for the individual who came 2nd and got carried away with the idea that she was going to win hence the unjustified remark that Hassan barely held on to the win!She won ,not by an inch but comfortable so!

She is just working on speed, nothing more. 2:00 will not cut it with the top 800m runners. She has great range though similar to Mary Decker, both coached by Sleezy Salazar...

I don't think it's a good idea. 1500m is the lower bound if Hassan wants her stalking strategy work well.

In the second half of the 2019th season Sifan was just unbeatable from 800 to 10.000m, unstoppable. Before that she was at the very top of europe but could not catch Dibaba or Obiri. Now she competes against Nikki Hiltz.

@@chanfonseka8051 no I mean what’s the rules for things like Olympics and world championships? I respect her choice and not questioning her identity, but I’m legit wondering what the rules are in terms of competitions
@@jkhoudini no idea what the rules are. It's a gray area. My gut tells me it should be based on birth biology. Otherwise there would be so many loopholes and arbitrary lines that have to be drawn. If we open the trans door to women's sports then it would become essentially the same as mens sports. The only fair solution would be to have a separate transgender category.
I think because physically she is not transitioning she will continue running with women throughout her racing career.
