Heads up on the security measures:
I am cross-vaccinated, got the booster jab, and I was tested before the fair. Generally, everybodys super green pass and body temperature was checked every day before the fair. And everyone wore an FFP2 mask before and after interviews/photos at the fair and in the city.
Please note that Pitti Uomo is not a visitor fair. You need to be a vendor or have a press accreditation.
Also "Classic menswear after the pandemic?" stands for "What can we expect from classic menswear after the pandemic?".
    Stay safe!

Thank you for asking the question 'who/what are you wearing' The answers, so many of which included bespoke creators, like the independant weaver of the harris tweed, the new young tailors, the more than a trend notion. The weather helped a lot, the lovely layering came to the fore.

Thank You! I like to see Pitti Umo roundups, but most are about the very outlandish peacocks. They are a sight, but less of a style inspirations. You have chosen people closer to my taste, they can serve as inspirations. Especially people outside of the fashion industry.

The material makes no difference because the people who use their products don’t care. They will still make money no matter what they wear, and making money is all they care about. No point in having unrealistic expectations.

it's a bit old school, but maybe they think a static camera angle would be boring. I'd like static with focus in on detail when prompted and in editing slow that down so we can linger on the detail. But, hey? I'm not doing the film/production, so I take it as it comes.

I'm glad you interviewed Felipe, they demonstrated you don't have to wear a suit or even stick to gendered ideas with clothing to have a well put together look that just works. Michele Free's outfit similarly had a a great deal of style to it and was beatifully balanced. They both struck me as people who understood their own personal sense of style and embraced it, appearing to do so without effort.

I heard he helped his father, who was prime minister of Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) back then, to get in contact to mask producers do the NRW could get enough masks for its population.
The Magazine „Der Spiegel“ wrote about that.

I really like your videos, very informative and well produced. I like very much the video production quality... please keep them coming! In regards to the content, I do not like the trend of women trying to appropriate this masculine fashion space. Isn't it enough the privilege of having hundreds of women-centric fashion events every year? Quite frankly, I'm not interested in seeing well dressed women in a men's fashion event.

Personally I don't like to wear a suit, tie, hat. But if I need it I prefer more discreet, dark colors. What I really like to wear is hiking boots and pants, Indian-style kurtas in shorter lengths and a sweater in dark shades of green or gray

Not a fan of the female (male fashioned) styled suits, but that woman toward the end from NY had the right cut looked feminine. Wish your interviewees could have removed their coats so we can see more of their outfits; a good example is the gentleman from California. I would have loved to have seen that suit. Did you get any pictures of it?

Inside of two years we have got to Omicron which can be put alongside the flu, and is treated exactly the same way, with panadol and bed rest for the most part. Pfizer and Moderna are already setting up for a flu/covid combined jab, so the vulnerable will have that every year, as they do now. You really have to keep up - it's a fast moving environment, medicine, and if you fall behind you make unruly statements like this with out knowledge.

Absolutely disappointed to see you calling this “after the pandemic” and walking around maskless when Italy is having the highest case numbers it’s ever seen. I’ve enjoyed your fashion for quite some time as menswear is quite hard to find on TH-cam, but selfishly endangering others in this way-particularly in the face of omicron’s transmissibility-simply cannot be overlooked. There are 11 million cancer patients in Italy whose treatments are being jeopardized by current COVID rates, and you are out, maskless, having a day at the fair. Shame on you, and shame on any who participated in this callous event.

    • @trilldan8327

@@daveb9451 and so judgemental and out of touch. I saw this and expected that intelligent people would keep themselves and others safe at this time, and that an internationally run conference would institute the usual safety measures. And that knowledge that Omicron is the almose endemic stage of SARS-CoV-2 would be a common thing. Turns out, that was/is the case (as the pinned note appraises us of) asnd so lunarmagpie's comment surprised and horrified me.
