I've got the PODSACS Handlebar Bag from Planet X - bought it for the Way of the Roses and it fit the tent in perfectly. I was looking at the Restrap Tech Bag as a smaller option for the drone.
great video mate. 2 questions though. If this loses connection does it return to the spot you started from and what max speed will it fly at ? id love one for my channel as the shots from behind look mint
Thanks Russ. The appeal for me was flying it without a controller, just using the AI tracking so no faffing about on the bike. If it loses sight of you it just hovers in place until it sees you again (it did this in the video I uploaded today). It flies in 'normal' mode, which is about 12mph but if it's windy its slower. You can manually fly it from the phone app, which uses a WiFi connection so is limited to about 50m range - no return to home. However, if you get a controller for it then I believe it will return to home and has sports mode, which is faster (obviously eats batteries quicker). You would have to faff with a controller then to set it all going, tracking, etc. In my opinion it's a great bit of kit for the price, perfect for vlogging videos.
@@chunkygravel I used to have a mavic air that was great but to bulky. This unit looks perfect for putting in my jersey pocket. I’ll have to do some research on it. Cheers matey and fellow manc 😉
It's small but a bit too big for my pockets, just ordered a Restrap Tech Bag to try. I was looking at the Hover Air X1 for ages so when DJI brought this out I jumped at it. I'll keep an eye on your channel to see how you get on!
Brilliant video, I'd suggest the fly more kit with the distance you do though!
I think you can only buy the 'fly more' combo with the drone from new. Another battery would be good but it did have my power bank to charge it!
Looks great!
Out of interest, what handlebar bag do you have?

im on the fence to buy one...think the reason it didnt land was your glove perhaps
Yes, it was a glove! I figured it out on my third attempt.
How did you get it to track from the side mine always tracks from behind
It's the Direction Track mode rather than Follow. You can set it as a Custom option.
