    Awesome tanks. I have lots of green water too but my pearlscale goldfish absolutely love it and so do the long finned mountain minnows and veiltail angels and guppies... the green water makes the water really nice and healthy for all the fish.

    Solve your green water problem with Daphnia refuges. The daphnia will filter the green water and multiply and in turn can be fed back to the fish. Win win

    There's two red tail versions.
    1. "True platinum red tail"
    -blue elephant ear, platinum face, half-red body with red dorsal, and tail.
    2. "Patriots" or "fire engine"
    -blue elephant ear, platinum face, half-blue body with red dorsa, and tail.
    Try not to mix them if you prefer one version over the other.

    Those old male guppies or the ones with damage cuadal. I will recommend to cut it using a sharp scissors ( there is a right way to cut it). Guppy with big tails cannot really carry their body due to cuadal weight, it means they cannot stud the female because they cannot swim fast. And those with damage cuadal is kinda of balance, cutting will also help them grom new cuadal fins (will only recommend cutting for guppys use for breeding). I can see a lot of flat belly guppy in your video. Do you do culling? Im a fan and also a guppy breeder at the same time.
    For those metal grass/snakeskin/ you cannot pair the male and female from the same line. Creating metal line/strain is different. Thats why when you breed metal x metal all offspring looks cull.

    • @prestigeaquaticsfish
      @prestigeaquaticsfish  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MANONG yes I do quite a bit of culling. I just medicated the guppies with a round of levamisole so I think that will solve some of the flat belly issue. When the meds run their course I will cull the flat belly fish.
      I will look into the caudal fin cutting! That makes sense what you said. Thank you for the great info!

    Just so your aware, there actually is no such thing as a pterophyllum dumerilii angelfish. That comes from the old 1800s Plataxoides dumerilii. When angels were reclassified in the 1960s, under pterophyllum, dumerilii was dropped and things were broken out into more specific species. Anything currently labeled as dumerilii is actually going to be something else more specific. Yours might be leopoldi as that's one of the common incorrect identifications when people say dumerilii.
