These cards were a major highlight of my early teens. Seeing them again takes my breath away.
I completely forgot about this set. Very nice blast from the past.
Recall paying a small packet of this series for $3 in 2003. Heck of a flashback exploration. Nice video.

I was 10/11 years old when these came out and I remember literally almost every pack having Sugarman... my entire 5th grade class was into these cards and for whatever reason we all had like 15 copies of him
Damn I forgot about that witch storm! I had so much of this set that was lost years ago. Brought back so many memories.
These cards were dope bought alot of jumbo packs from my local 711 back in the day! Alot of good gems in this series.
As someone fixated with shiny things, I find these cards beyond gorgeous.
Then you should take a look at some of the Lady Death chromium cards. They are similar chromium cards, but have better artwork.

It's far from being a great set, but I don't think it's that bad. There are some nice cards in it.

Hiya.......nice to see again without going into my loft. I have the complete set......with every base card being a gold signature. Hopefully worth something lol. But a beautiful collection none the less.

What annoys me about trading cards is the fact 50 different ppl will have 50 different prices for them, so I don’t know how much to sell my doubles for. They’re all basically in mint condition, but I don’t want to waste time and money to get it graded.
Anyways I like the 94 and up trading cards they made them looks so amazing, it’s like looking at something from an art gallery in your hands. It’s just extremely fun looking at them. I like this set in the video

I would probably look what sold items on ebay went for.
I also think that grading is a waste of money, unless it's a really rare and valuable item.
I used to collect these. Duno what ever happened to them though. Looking at them now though I'm not too crazy about them. Wolverine was my favorite and I remember being disappointed with his card lol
Yeah, the artwork on these cards isn't great.The painted Fleer Ultra sets look a lot better.
You probably get this all of the time, but i just found my old set from when i was a kid. Some ultra fleer and reg 96 fleer. Are there any i should look for that might be special?
If you're looking for value then there's not a lot. Maybe some of the more sought after characters like Wolverine, but they would need to be in flawless and gradable condition, at least a 9.
I was wondering why there was a 1996 Fleer X-Men set that was so cheap. Looks like they re-used the artwork from this set and took away the "Chromium".
Yeah, you're right. They are very much crap, bad cardstock, cheap design and reused images.
They were mainly made to promote the Overpower TCG, I think. I opened a box of these maybe 15 Years ago, only for the Overpower cards.
That psylocke card has a big bend in the corner you didn't notice that? That card is worth now like half a peanut, maybe a whole one if the rest of the card is in good shape a cashew

I had a bunch of these cards but they had no chrome.
They reused a lot of these Images for a different set without the chrome. You probably had some of those.

I think the chrome set was premium.

X-Men #1 A mutant mile stone, comic book is going for 588,888,88 on eBay right now. It’s got a PSA Grade of a 9. So, I have that comic book in meant condition too. So if I get it graded is it seriously possible to get half a million dollars for it??? Something seems really off about the persons pricing of this comic book
I don't know, people sometimes ask for ridiculous prices on ebay. You should look for some sold issues, that might be a better estimate of what your book could be worth.

Hey nice! I have opened this box too. I am trying to complete a set of just the signature parallels. Do you have any spares you like to trade off? Do you also get an issue of these cards changing colour? I notice it happens mostly with the cards with skin tone colour. They have this yellow/greening issue
I'm sorry but I don't have any doubles of the signatures. As for the change of colour, I just checked my set and couldn't find any with the issue you described.
@@randomcollector2353 no colour change issue at all? Thats good. How you store them? Just in those ultra pro binders? You probably stay in very dry climate. Its quite humid where I am.
@@haulinggoodtimeAt least none that I've noticed. I've put all of them in penny sleeves, to prevent scratching mainly, and then I just put them in Ultra Pro Platinum pages which are in binders.
I think we have a low humidity here, but I can't say for sure.
Maybe the box you opend was exposed to extreme temperatures at some point before you got it.
@@haulinggoodtime I just subscribed and watched your break. And now I know that you didn't mean the cards from your break, but the ones you already had.
So maybe it is the humidity. I never had any of these as a kid so I can't really compare new ones to old ones, maybe they just age badly.
Hey thanks for the sub. I also have subscribed to you. Yes, my old ones from back in the day had changed colour. But these news ones that I just recently cracked open are also starting to show some signs of colour changing. Its quite upsetting

There are a bunch of Wizard exclusive trading cards that came with the magazine. You can still find them on ebay.

All i can find online are second hand cards.. I've been seeing a lot of unboxing of MARVEL cards on YT but i can't find where are they getting it.. 😭😭

I actually think these cards are awesome, I don't understand how no one gets the Halloween cards they are literally dressed in Halloween 😂
I feel like the Halloween cards are a dumb subset. There are so many possibilities for interesting subsets like greatest battles, first appearances, crossovers, famous storylines, alternate realities, etc. and instead they put in the Halloween costume versions of characters.
