Calling 1991 "vintage" PepeSad
My cousin got a box of these back in '91, and I recall he only got 1 hologram, of Spider-Man. Our favorite part of the cards were the stats and information on the back... They were like encyclopedias to us.
20 years is considered vintage
My friends and I used to play a game with these. It was pretty much war. We would pick a Stat from the back to base a win off of, usually strength. You'd each play a card, and whoever had the stronger card won both. Teams were an automatic win for the person who drew it, and if it was a vs. card, the rules for classic war applied. Same with if you both drew a team or heroes with the same strength rating. It was alot of fun.

1991--I was 21 and bought all the marvel stuff back then. Still have it all.❤ I think I got almost a complete set of base cards and 3 or 4 holo's first box. Bought another and completed both with 4 extra holo's.😊
This set brings back memories. Surprised this was only 30 bucks

Thank you for posting. I would love to have this serise. I gave away my entire collection, but not before I scanned the cards on my scanner.
I’m sure you could find a set dirt cheap! They made so many of those cards. I’d recommend getting a box and opening them though. That’s where the fun is at. There was a reason you gave them away in the first place and that reason is they’ll just be another invisible string attached to you that you never look at anymore.
Watching this made me get a box too, and I wanna get Series 3 some time. Series 2 and 3 are my favorites.

I bought all of these when they were released and have the entire set and all of the holograms. I have them in a binder and the holograms all in hard cases. I was a comic collector at the time.
