My friends and I used to play a game with these. It was pretty much war. We would pick a Stat from the back to base a win off of, usually strength. You'd each play a card, and whoever had the stronger card won both. Teams were an automatic win for the person who drew it, and if it was a vs. card, the rules for classic war applied. Same with if you both drew a team or heroes with the same strength rating. It was alot of fun. If you read this, sorry to have wasted your time.
I’m sure you could find a set dirt cheap! They made so many of those cards. I’d recommend getting a box and opening them though. That’s where the fun is at. There was a reason you gave them away in the first place and that reason is they’ll just be another invisible string attached to you that you never look at anymore.
Calling 1991 "vintage" PepeSad My cousin got a box of these back in '91, and I recall he only got 1 hologram, of Spider-Man. Our favorite part of the cards were the stats and information on the back... They were like encyclopedias to us.
I bought all of these when they were released and have the entire set and all of the holograms. I have them in a binder and the holograms all in hard cases. I was a comic collector at the time.
