Its like climbing up the stairs... Initially climbing up a single stair at a time then... For higher position.. Skipping 2-3 stairs at a time or using stairs with more height..

You're so stretch it's honestly beautiful! Keep it up with your videos, you're such an inspiration and hopefully someday our bodies will reach that fuller potential! All the best 💫
I’m 65 and getting ready to change things up. I have always been active and capable but as I age I see my neighbors really go down hill fast. Holy cow, not for me. Started hanging to get stronger, went to be able to do numerous pull-ups. This leg thing looks good too. Gonna be watching
This is a great excersice, but people which have collapsing knees inwards (x-shape) can get issues without doing it in proper form. Allignment tip: When leaning forward to put pressure on the leg your knee should push outside to block the view to the smallest toe (feet is standing on the outer side, but heel and biggest toe aren't lifting!). Also make sure to be warmed up and as mentioned do a slow and controlled movement! Have a good one! :)
In my friend group I have the strongest legs, but it's not enough!!! I need to get more stronger! I have some weird motor disability so I can barely move my feet but that's not gonna stop me!
One other thing to try is lifting your toes (dorsiflex) on the balance leg before the step up. It stops the plantar flexion push to get you out of the hole.
I'm 65. Real.problems with balance. Right thigh ligament damaged 7yrs ago from jump squats and up hill sprints. Can't run anymore. This though is doable I think..
59 is a number and nothing beyond that, if anything the more years you been on this planet the stronger you should be but your presenting it in reverse like you good cause at your age your doing things. Remove your ego
I got really strong leg by doing explosive hindu squats and sumo squats. Also FitnessFAQ done a video on using step ups to increase leg muscles and strength.
Hi Josh! Great video, thank you...question...I get cramps a lot in my feet and calves now, almost daily. They are starting to interfere with my life. I was a dancer for many years so I know there is nerve damage, but doctors couldn't help. Acupuncture doesn't help. Drinking more water electrolytes doesn't help. Maybe there is an exercise? Or you have an idea that could help? At this point I'm so frustrated. When I search on the web it just says everyone gets them - as they get older. Ugh! Maybe you can you create a video about this with exercises, or do you already have one on this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! Love your channel!
Look into foot exercise videos. They really help tremendously when you do them regularly. And a lot of times it’s abt stretching the supporting muscles like calf and ankles.
Remember to start on a low surface (even a stair step) and gradually work your way up to higher surfaces. Stay Strong and bendy my friends! instagram.com/Thestrengthside
I tried my bed immediately. My leg hurt now. 😭

You both have been very helpful to me this year. I have incorporated several of your stretch exercises into my AM daily routine.
These short videos are amazing, and will probably help grow the channel - YT promoting these shorts nonstop. :)
I know right? They fun and easy to make too. Appreciate your support bro
Is there a way to keep them?

This old girl thanks you so much.
Are those Xero shoes?
Just found your channel and love the advice✌️
Iconic.
I tried one of the stretches you suggested and messed up my knees. This one is also putting all the pressure on the knees.
Can you do a stretch for the whole back
I'm going to slowly lift off and then tip over in the end if I do that I guess it's going to take some work thank you strength side 🤦🏾♀️🥰
A better idea imo is for the lower leg to only touch with your heel, that way you cant use it to push up as long as the knee is straight
Yes!
One other thing to try is lifting your toes (dorsiflex) on the balance leg before the step up. It stops the plantar flexion push to get you out of the hole.
What do you do if that would absolutely kill your knees????
Need more dog workouts 💯
Great tip! Who makes those shoes though? I like the minimalist design.
For anyone interested, the shoes are the Xero Aptos and they are very comfortable zero drop shoes.
Awesome thanks!
@@mwpierre i got a pair of xero 2 yrs ago. I ran about 8 min mile at 46yrs in those shoes. I never looked back!!

Yes be careful of knee placement.

Body weight squats with full depth also produce tremendous growth However you need to perform 300+ everyday if not more
Sir what is your weight and height
Where I can get those shorts? Thanks
How I wish I can be flexible
Im grabbing my dog and he is like yeah only this was left to see
What if u have arthritis in knees and over 60 ?
Isn’t it hard on the knees to be over the foot?
Your left knee was beyond your foot, was it not painful to do? Is it not putting too much force to it?
What about 1 leg squats- I can do those
ok! Keep up that good good
it looks similar to climbing up the stairs. Can climbing up stairs help in developing the leg strength?
Doesn't that irritate the knee joint if you're weak or have knee problems already?
Does this also help my calves
You can keep your foot on dorsiflexion so you won’t be able to help by doing plantar flexion. You will also increase ROM by doing that.
Reminds me a lot of kneeovertoeguy
Bad knees, beginner. Any recommendations before attempting this one?
