Here's a beginner leg strengthening exercise with no equipment necessary. This leg workout you can do at home will strengthen the quads and glutes and create more hip stability. Next time it's leg day, throw this into your routine and make sure to use no momentum or help from the bottom leg. The step-up can help you develop harder bodyweight leg exercises like pistol squats in the future. Get strong and jacked! Leg workouts at home are the best. - บันเทิง
Remember to start on a low surface (even a stair step) and gradually work your way up to higher surfaces. Stay Strong and bendy my friends! instagram.com/Thestrengthside
I tried my bed immediately. My leg hurt now. 😭
Dude you're a genius, tell me this though, you're a calisthenics supporter ? Love calisthenics

We have a white rabbit. I’ll be doing squats holding her on my shoulder. She will try to run down my back. Missing silly billy Lily and Tuxie Buxie (foxes got these little Netherlands dwarfs) and of course the matriarch Pebbling (… and 9 years we had our 4kg beauty - gentlest most motherly (only if you were a bunny) sweetest colourful amazing sable)😢
These short videos are amazing, and will probably help grow the channel - YT promoting these shorts nonstop. :)
I know right? They fun and easy to make too. Appreciate your support bro
Is there a way to keep them?
@@TititoDeBologay Three dots in the right side panel lower corner and save to playlist :)
This is a great excersice, but people which have collapsing knees inwards (x-shape) can get issues without doing it in proper form.
Allignment tip: When leaning forward to put pressure on the leg your knee should push outside to block the view to the smallest toe (feet is standing on the outer side, but heel and biggest toe aren't lifting!).
Also make sure to be warmed up and as mentioned do a slow and controlled movement!
Have a good one! :)
I’m 65 and getting ready to change things up. I have always been active and capable but as I age I see my neighbors really go down hill fast. Holy cow, not for me. Started hanging to get stronger, went to be able to do numerous pull-ups. This leg thing looks good too. Gonna be watching
You're so stretch it's honestly beautiful! Keep it up with your videos, you're such an inspiration and hopefully someday our bodies will reach that fuller potential! All the best 💫
Recently discovered this exercise. Feels good that you are confirming that it's a good one.

This video very helpful.
Hi Josh! Great video, thank you...question...I get cramps a lot in my feet and calves now, almost daily. They are starting to interfere with my life. I was a dancer for many years so I know there is nerve damage, but doctors couldn't help. Acupuncture doesn't help. Drinking more water electrolytes doesn't help. Maybe there is an exercise? Or you have an idea that could help? At this point I'm so frustrated. When I search on the web it just says everyone gets them - as they get older. Ugh!
Maybe you can you create a video about this with exercises, or do you already have one on this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! Love your channel!
Look into foot exercise videos. They really help tremendously when you do them regularly. And a lot of times it’s abt stretching the supporting muscles like calf and ankles.
Thank u sir 🙏
Great video. Love your vibe. Thank you.
Great video ❤️
Brilliant!
DUDE... THANK U GUYS

Thank you, this is information ℹ️ that i was not aware
I'm going to slowly lift off and then tip over in the end if I do that I guess it's going to take some work thank you strength side 🤦🏾♀️🥰
strong dude😮
Merci beaucoup, pour les bons conseils ✋✋✋🙏🏻👌
One other thing to try is lifting your toes (dorsiflex) on the balance leg before the step up. It stops the plantar flexion push to get you out of the hole.

Yes!
Knees Over Toes Guy got to you, too!
Amazing
Great tip! Who makes those shoes though? I like the minimalist design.
For anyone interested, the shoes are the Xero Aptos and they are very comfortable zero drop shoes.
Awesome thanks!
@@mwpierre i got a pair of xero 2 yrs ago. I ran about 8 min mile at 46yrs in those shoes. I never looked back!!
Are those Xero shoes?
Just found your channel and love the advice✌️
Thanks for this. I couldn't understand WHY this wasn't working for my left leg.
Iconic.
Hey great advice, this is like the beginning phase of the pistol squat
Ha ha with the dog lol love it
Thanks for this! I stopped doing step ups because I felt like I was just using the resting leg to kick off and couldn't figure out how to not...
Bro has hash on his leg 😂 Respect 🙏🏽🍃
i didnt know it was possible to do a step up that high. Damn now i know what i gotta work on
This old girl thanks you so much.
Yes be careful of knee placement.
You're really cool. I love your videos. Great stuff. I'm 59 and ... I'm doing it. Yeeaahhhh!! 💪 Greetings from the Canary Islands, Spain.
59 is a number and nothing beyond that, if anything the more years you been on this planet the stronger you should be but your presenting it in reverse like you good cause at your age your doing things. Remove your ego
A better idea imo is for the lower leg to only touch with your heel, that way you cant use it to push up as long as the knee is straight
Need more dog workouts 💯
ok! Keep up that good good
"Ooooor you can just squat your dog" lmao *headstothehumansocietytosquatallthedogs ...totally apart of the volunteer rehabilitation program there... ultimate trust + strength building exercise🤷🏻♀️!!! Lol
Thanks again for another awesome vid 👊🏼
Exactly! haha so easy
Good knees
i know that dog had to be a cute lil puppy
Is thus movement physiologically correct, sound and a preventive for potential knee, leg, tendon and cartilage injury ?
As a trainer I can confidently say yes. This is one of the number one exercises to treat and prevent these issues, and to correct lower extremity postural deficiencies. This is exactly how I have taught the step up for 20 years!
In my friend group I have the strongest legs, but it's not enough!!! I need to get more stronger! I have some weird motor disability so I can barely move my feet but that's not gonna stop me!
Dog was like ...ok. ...lol.
When will strength side ship to Canada?! :)
Your dog is so cute
Sir what is your weight and height
Im grabbing my dog and he is like yeah only this was left to see
Body weight squats with full depth also produce tremendous growth However you need to perform 300+ everyday if not more
You can keep your foot on dorsiflexion so you won’t be able to help by doing plantar flexion. You will also increase ROM by doing that.
That is a good one!! I need to get such a cute dog for the weighted variant🤣🥰👍🏻
Omg the doggy
How I wish I can be flexible
Can you do a stretch for the whole back
🔥
Seems very smart and helpful. I wish I had this guy's body and skeleton.
For me I power my knee up
Strong knees
Dog squats are a go haha
Your dogs look is like mofo do not drop me this time lol dope video
I tried one of the stretches you suggested and messed up my knees. This one is also putting all the pressure on the knees.
Where I can get those shorts? Thanks
Your left knee was beyond your foot, was it not painful to do? Is it not putting too much force to it?
