      Wafer Paper could be put on buttercream. However, I don't know your recipe or humidity, so would recommend you to do a test for your environment. Let me know how it goes!

      Not at all! Wafer paper doesn't have any taste and won't affect the flavor

      You can use any clean sticky substances, here in the States it is called piping gel or clear piping gel, but neutral glaze or clear glaze is the same.

    Can you go over it with air brush color at the end? Would it melt everything away?

      You absolutely can. If you are in a humid climate, choose alcohol based airbrush color. Another option could be is to airbrush wafer paper before putting in the blender.

      @@floreacakes Finally, I decided to put the ground wafer paper on fondant. Because I'm afraid that the cake will be at room temperature at the wedding venue and the butter will release some moisture, which would damage the decoration. This does not happen with fondant. I don't want to risk a wedding cake. The other reason is that the bottom part will be a dummy cake, which won't keep the temperature at all and I might not even be able to put the wafer on it. What do you think?

      It is very netural in taste, but you can add any powder flavor to the mixture. I do not eat fondant anyway, so you can safely remove that. However, in my experience, people do like to eat wafer paper)

      I would suggest to color wafer paper powder with petal dusts, if you want to have a different color of the velvet.

      @@floreacakes it' a frosting based on a chocolate. Keep a good shape of a cake in an transportation. (Chocolate, whipped cream and butter)

      @@svetarodionov8274 I don't see why it wouldn't work. If it is stable and fat-based, wafer paper will not melt and you can use piping gel to stick it to the chocolate base.
