Fabulous review, and trumps to you guys for getting none other than Chris Goodwin to slay some tyres and give you so much of his time for a cracking, informative and entertaining interview (and lol, the journalist looked a little pale during the laps at Portimao). As with No Way below, the WANT factor for one of these machines is big. Keep up the good work, I'm subscribing.
Wow by far the best review by car advice ever. I really enjoyed the information given by the Chief test driver Chris G. It's amazing how far McLaren has come over the past 5 years. I feel like I have all the information I need for the car and yes, "I want one". Now I've just got to find a lazy $400 grand.
Best sports car in the world, it's really an every day hyper car, with a typo on the price tag! Porsche 911 and Audi R8 are kicked into the stratosphere by McLaren.
+Brian Willaman Whos talking about ride comfort ? Thats a whole different topic , a 20k Camry or Accord is more comfortable if thats what you are after !
beautiful car like every car they make , but i'm waiting for the 350 spider . at least i hope they make some cars that compete with lotus or corvette prices .
In comparison to the price range gap of the two car 570s and 650s, I think australian is having the narrowest gap compare to the rest of the world. So which means 650s is a more money for the car in my opinion.
+PlayZone300 It's around 180k for a basic version. I don't know where he got a 379k McLaren 570s. that's approximatly the cost of a McLaren 650s. maybe the options? not quiet sure...
+El rey Mago He is Australian, so was talking about Australian dollars. Aussie is worth UK50p or US70c. Add some import luxury tax(they should stop that. Seriously) and you have 379k .
+Strompy82 The Luxury car tax(LCT) is 33 percent. It's basically a tariff designed to protect the local Australian car industry. Problem is that It didn't protect it at all. The local car manufacturing will cease by 2018. It was not only protected by the import tariff but it also received subsidies from the government. Net result is that it has now shut down. The tariff and the subsidy made it uncompetitive, no exports at all, no new models, no SUV - just local large sedans that even Australians stop buying. The rest of the world certainly didn't want them. We even import Japanese cars(Nissan and Honda) from the UK(hardly a low wage economy) now. So it worked really well. Being protected made the chance of an Australian 'McLaren' virtually impossible.
I think the 570s is in a new category, the supersports category. mclaren clams its a sports car for business reasons only so that it will seem more appealing to the everyday driver, on the other hand it looks and preforms like a super car so what is it? id say its a supersports car, a car that looks and has the power of a supercar but is made more for the road rather then the track. i mean come on you cant tell me that your going to take a car that has some of the same/close to specs as a lambo or Ferrari and put it into the same category as a camaro and mustang thats just not right, so i say its a supercar thats meant for the road
Sorry beautiful car but even their demo driver can't hide the crappy steering and turn in . Bigger tires would help as many have said , suprized they put this video out .
loving the production value these videos are getting, keep it up!

This is s great car no doubt......looks so controllable on the limit. All you would ever need.
Very Nice review
Chris Harris On Cars said the EXACT opposite of what you said. He said the 911 Turbo can not match the McLaren's ride comfort.
+Brian Willaman Whos talking about ride comfort ? Thats a whole different topic , a 20k Camry or Accord is more comfortable if thats what you are after !
It seems like everyone else is idling by whilst McLaren is starting to go on a roll.
This is the first review on TH-cam. nice video! oh and first comment :)
didn't Chris Harris put up one last night?
Xcar, Chris Harris and Now Car Advice all on one day with the Same review haha

CarAdvice.com.au It was a really good review, keep it up guys!

nice review. anyone know how reliable Mclarens???
A 2:02 lap time. Only 9 sec slower than the P1. Wonder how fast the P1 GTR went round it.

Its understeering like crazy
Wider tires needed .
its base price isnt $379,000... its 184,900
so whats up with that
+Buck “BuckBuck” Buck buckley That's the Australian price.
Judging by the accent, he was referring to the price in Australia. They get abused tax wise.
I've got a great idea! McLaren should make an SUV! :D
Still pushes what's your point ?
More long videos. :)
Good review but 379k for the basic version?

Strompy82 waoh that's just bad! They should really STOP THAT!

Nice review.. but the car starts at $180k.. not $379k
wow
Corvette kills it !
Doesnt look like it tracks very well from watching the wheel movement ?
it isn't about lap times its about fun. If you want track times get a 650S. They have said from day 1 this is a sports car, not a supercar.
Hmm , Sports cars arent supposed to track well ?
Have you watched the video? The times shows its competing withe the likes of the Huracan and GT3 RS so I think it's pretty quick!
Just because its doesnt mean it tracks well .
KCImages ?
Sorry beautiful car but even their demo driver can't hide the crappy steering and turn in . Bigger tires would help as many have said , suprized they put this video out .
+KCImages You obviously didn't understand one word.
or you didnt ? lol
are you blind fanboy ? lol
t bo
Like I said a Corvette or Mustang 350 is way better at a fraction of cost period ..
+KCImages lol
+Strompy82 explain ?
+Strompy82 And a 911 GT3 KILLS this car !
better in which way.
+ibby-ibz hey every way ...
paul do you want tech or performance ? A car for rich folks not driving enthusiasts !
Lol I assure you I'm not the first that's said it just that I posted it .
Fun is not a bad handling car . Duh
+KCImages do you ever shut up
Nope , hard to not answer some comments .
fred wilson Any more questions ??
Lol designing a car like thus to be "tail heavy" ? That makes no sense , stupid marketing !
