As far as I know the most popular theory concerning the panoramic map on the mountain is that it‘s related to the several UFOs you can see under specific conditions. The map apparently shows the locations. It‘s been a riddle in the community though
28:45 Rider gets blown off his horse with gunfire! 32:12 When it says Headshot x many riders with a long scope rifle it was referring to the part where Bill is acting drunk and you are covering him, not when you are escaping. Something not made clear at all. Prime Beef comes from Bison, Cows, Bulls and Oxen. 1:58:00 Dead Bison in the lake sucks. This is why I hunt all Legendary critters with Dynamite Arrows for a 1 shot kill every time. You will still have access to the Outfits and stuff though. Cheers.
Hey guys, just use your repeater + dead eye for legendary animals. You can't ruin their pelts, so just put as many bullets needed as fast as you can in it. You know about the white point when you aim, and it turns red, when you will hit your target. But sometimes you still are unsure if you killed it. If you hit your target, there is an white X around the red point. When your shot killed the target, the X will be red. And Oak, I also used the dead eye like you do now, for 1 shot at a time, but you don't need R1 for that, just hit R2.

I really wish he’d just take an hour hunting. No pressure if he misses the shot, just hunting so he can learn how to shoot. It’s a lack of trying at a certain point if you’ve 20 hrs in it and no idea. I’d be happy if they did it on stream and then we can give him tips. Mason don’t be too hard on yourself, you didn’t do anything wrong during the hunt, the animal parts will be at the trapper so you didn’t lose anything! I’ve had that same Bison wander into the lake, my advice would be to practice dead eye while hunting. Helps when the targets aren’t shooting back and they’re bigger!
I think the pelt of the bison should be at a trapper, so just head over to one and check if you can craft anything. If the legendary animal is not x'ed out on the map then that means you can return to the area and kill it again, I guess.
I had. the same thing happen with the legendary Buffalo. Ended up in the drink. Went through the same emotional gauntlet. Turns out, the pelt and parts still go to the trapper and you can still access them later.
Riffle not shot gun could have got a perfect cat pelt with your encounter lol you guys should do a compilation video of all the cut scene reactions at the end of your gameplay, in order of course. lol
FOR RETRIEVEING THE LEGENDARY BUFFOLO SKIN pushing the body with my horse, and it worked wonders. Hold down the sprint button, and the body gets pushed so fast I was able to cross the entire lake it was in without the body sinking. I got it up on a rock first try, and managed to skin it and collect the trinket
Don’t worry about the legendary bison. The pelt will automatically go to the trapper. The only thing you’ll miss out on is the money you get from the sale.
You guys really need to start using the inspect option. It will explain how to get perfect pelts and a few other things. And it takes like two seconds.
You have to use the right weapon on the right animal or you drop a star on the pelt. Bolt Action / Springfield for most game. Varmint rifle for, well, varmints. Squirrels and snakes, bow w/ small game arrows. Legendary animals, it don't matter, hit 'em with 10 shotgun blasts, pelt will be fine.
Next time you load the game up the Legendary Bison pelt should be with the trapper, well it used to do that. So cheer up Mason, it's not as bad as it seems.

We've all been there, in my first playthrough I was taking a legendary pelt to the trapper, ran into an ambush, tried to run though it but clipped a bridge rail and me and the pelt flew off the horse. I died and thought I'd lost it, but the trapper ended up having it anyway. :D
Yeah, as long as you skinned the legendary animal it should be fine but I always sold the skins when I could. Did the same with the carcasses as well, lot of people always leave them but the legendary carcasses do sell for pretty decent amount.
Just so you know, you’ll get the legendary white bison pelt in the trapper when u go back to him unless the developers changed that, but I highly doubt it. Ik this because I did the exact same thing on my first play through lmaooo. Hope this makes y’all feel better about “losing” it! Either way love the play through 🤠

You can actually get a satchel that will allow you to carry 99 of each item including gold bars but you have to do a bit of hunting for it. Talk to Pearson or i think a trapper. Used to be a glitch with a lockbox where you could pick up an infinite amount of gold bars and if you had the satchel you could get like 20k but that has long since been patched. Also tip on the hunting, you can lasso animals and get close and Arthur will kill them with his knife. Its a nice method if you are trying to get perfect pelts. Otherwise all the animals require different weapons and specific types of ammo for each to get a perfect one. And try not to trample the carcass with the horse. You can turn a perfect pelt into a poor one real quick.
At this point in the game, it’s not worth their while doing all that hunting to get the Legend of the East satchel. Soon enough they’ll be able to just buy it from a fence.
Sucks about the bison, it happens. Give it a few in game days it’ll respawn. IMPORTANT HUNTING TIP when hunting legendary animals use the bolt action rifle with explosive rounds using dead eye mark it at least three times on the head you will drop it where it stands. Or use dynamite arrows you can’t damage legendary pelts. Happy hunting
Ok... The reason Arthur keeps coughing after eating is because he's sick... The game mentions food consumption is affected right after leaving the doctor that delivers the bad news
Go duck hunting for animal fat and flight feathers and use dead eye when hunting. If your horse bucks you off because of a predator you can use dead eye to slow things down while you gather yourself.
The horse you’re referring has Best Acceleration but Fastest Horse with Top Speed is the Missouri Fox Trotter according to their in game stats but tbh, there’s numerous speed race comparison tests on TH-cam between “Fastest Horses” and difference between them are seconds so I always say go for the horse you like the look of the most 👍🏽. EDIT: my only beef with that horse you mentioned is that its a different shade but same breed as someone else in the gang, they’re pretty much twinning every time they ride together in any mission haha.
Nothing too do with RDR2 but y’all next horror game needs too be STILL WAKES the DEEP it’s set in 1970 on a oil rig a Scottish oil rig please I highly recommend this game it’s only like 3-4 hours it’s on all platforms
I think It's best to ditch the silly bear hat for now. It's a little too goofy and really doesn't fit the chapter, since it's getting so sincere and serious. You can keep wearing it of course, I'm not trying to dictate how you're playing lol
The cougar kill was definitely luck, it looked like he just hit R2 in a panic. So there was no L2 or right stick aiming at all, it was just panic reflexes on the R2, which really isn't the way to handle that situation. It falls into the 'all ass, no class' category.

Nope, it won’t respawn. However the pelt will automatically go to the trapper so they won’t lose out, other than the sale price of the pelt.

I give props when they deserve it and I bag them out when they keep doing dumb stuff, I'm a realistic commentor, I don't just blow smoke up their arses like most people.
