    Nice diorama made from that episode. I also follow the Australian Tank Museum channel. Never knew there were places there with so much surplus tank material parked in scrap yard fields. Cool stuff ✨👍✨

      It's interesting! I didn't know Australia did that back then. The Australian Tank Museum channel is such a wealth of interesting tanks and information. I really like what they put out on TH-cam.

    Great rust job! Also love the shirt. Looks like Korean war vintage or early Vietnam? But what I really like is the starch gloss look. I turned 18 in the service and that brought back some memories. Thank you.

      Thanks. It's from the Vietnam era. I bought it at a yard sale at the military museum I talked about in an earlier video. I can certainly understand how that uniform brings back old memories. 😊😊

    That was a very frugal and effective way of using some old bits and pieces, very clever indeed! I like such scrapyard models a lot, its a great canvas for some really heavy weathering effects. You achieved exactly what you had in mind, well done mate :)

    Hi, Beautifully done👍🏻. Very creative in using left over parts. I just discovered your channel and I subscribed.
    I really like your paint job, actually I plan to make a diorama of a Russian T55 abandoned in Afghanistan, with locals collecting parts. The finished I'm looking is browned steel, not rusted, it's kind of a metallic dark rust if you know what I mean, I think of, perhaps some AK true metal copper wax patina on burn amber, I'm not sure, any suggestion from you or anyone is welcome. Good continuation👋🏻

    Great project and the rust you created looks great, especially against the 'original' paint showing through. And a perfect way to use up spare bits, that may never have been used otherwise. :) Very good.. and great choice of music as well, the Habanera from Carmen is a firm favourite.. :)

    Great idea. Your skills are improving...evidence you are kit bashing/strange combinations to produce a fantastic dio. Also the fatigues,,,,,crisp starch, edges can give you paper cuts, be careful. (yes I wore them one once upon a time,,not so bad in the winter but summer sucked big time)

      😀😀Thanks! I had another viewer commented that my old shirt brought back some good memories when he was in the service. Yes, I agree, that old shirt is very stiff and is uncomfortable. Take care 😊😊

    i love your idea of being inspired by that Australian tank museum serialised story of these tanks on you tube ,your model looks the part and is a totally unique model or may be the first of many copy cats like me , but there's nothing more inspiring than a project like that. its funny that some of man,s mans machines sometimes look better in complete or partly damaged but still recognisable as the former beauty it once was. i feel that machines do have a kind life of there own and it is our job as humans to restore them to their former machine aesthetic existence they once had, maybe we modellers are a kind of Samaritan's for macines that are either no longer with us or nearly in model form of course, but are all motivated so differently which the spice of life of model makers.

    • @qdc748a
      @qdc748a  ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand what you mean. Preserving machines like these are important because it teaches us history and, perhaps, teaches us peace as well. It's an irony that people have when it comes to war. I'm motivated because I enjoy building model kits for fun. Others enjoy it for other reasons. No matter what reasons people are in this hobby, all of us enjoys it and that's the common thing that keeps us together 😊😊. I hope you build your version of a rusted tank and enjoy it. Take care 😊😊
