I'd love to see the cars doing 300+kph down bathurst!
And with the game I think supercars could pay either GT or Forza to make a series on there platforms, all the tracks and cars.

If we are serious about making Bathurst great again, I think the most obvious answer is to make it a stand alone race again. Having it as part of the championship creates too many focus points other than winning. Bathurst should be a win at all costs race. Having it as a separate race would also free up the rule book regarding international drivers, co-drivers, etc. It would give them freedom to custom make rules just for the one race without having to consider the impact on regular round events.

Having a stand alone race won't change a thing as the car is the main issue, they're driving to a number out there due to the lack of grip and braking stability so they can't setup an overtake cause they'll most likely bin the car.

Won’t make any difference at all

@@alex-lu2nt The point being that they could make Bathurst specific rule changes to make the cars more racey to suit the the track as Bathurst is so different to all the regular round tracks, not to mention stopping drivers from just settling for a good points haul.

My opinion is the cars need more horsepower and harder to drive. The drivers are at such a high level now so the cars need to be even harder to drive.

With all due respect this is just stupid cause these cars are already hard to drive with the lack of mechanical grip and downforce. Without mechanical grip or downforce or component variables you get the boring Gen 3 racing. Qualifying has been great but racing has been a follow the pack and driving to a number.
Also with the lack of overall grip the drivers cannot dive bomb or overtake under braking like they used to under the Blueprint, COTF and Gen 2 cause the Gen 3 is way too stable under brakes and prone to rear locking.
The narrative that less downforce/ grip and making the cars harder to drive has proven to be a failure with the Gen 3 under racing conditions cause drivers just can't have a go anymore and before you bring up Nascar with the horsepower that they have you should know that they generate a lot of downforce with the undertray hence why they run the cars stiff and low to the ground. A Nascar on a road course these days produce more grip than a Gen3.

@ I didn’t bring up NASCAR but the cars do need more horsepower. I know a couple of drivers personally and they’ve said exactly that. They just want more horsepower. Since you brought up NASCAR maybe Supercars can look at their platform and use a big undertray so the cars can actually follow closely and pass.

The engines are breaking at current power you would have to spend Gen 2 money to get reliable power increase...

@@adrenalinjunky1 Interesting that the drivers want more power and want the cars to be harder to drive when they're already extremely hard to drive. I have conversed and raced a lot of them on iRacing and even had hour long vocal conversation on discord with some of them and the last thing they mentioned was the lack of horsepower so I'll be really interested as to who the drivers are.

Bathurst this year was so boring. I usually watch every lap every year but this one has really turned me off.
