McLaughlin would've won 2018, Fabian would've won 2019, Chaz would've won 2022, Waters 2023. 2020 and 21 were impossible to calculate because the season ended at Bathurst. I didn't get around to working out 2017 because I couldn't find the points gaps heading into Newcastle. I think the top 5 were mathematical contention.

I'm still waiting for someone to calculate the last 5 or so seasons and see if the new format would have changed the championship result
