    Lol… I just love it when you're being so natural.
    What really captured my attention was, when you used your right hand to measure with; (thumb to little finger).
    I know I'm an odd-ball to the world, but these are the types of things that open the door for me, so I can see inside a person.
    I know already you're a fantastic artist I know that, but it's who you are that makes things a whole lot better. 💜
    Art, and you go together like a pumpkin in a pumpkin patch. Neither can be without the other. ;)

    Just imagine a relaxing walk along the waters edge then stopping to share some food & drink with friends or family, under the shade of the palm's. I've been to a beach not to dissimilar to this in Queensland Australia, north of Cairns. I love the way you use acrylic inks for the underpainting it really makes those colours zing, all in all an excellent painting thank you :) ❤

    Thank you for the beautiful demo Susan. Very well painted throughout and lots of great teaching moments. For me , the palm trees were very good to watch as I haven’t attempted those in a tropical scene as yet. The water was very lovely. The frame did look perfect. I personally think you could enter it in an exhibition as you created your own reference material. It’s very good. Maybe sell the prints 😊

    Me encanta la base de tu pintura, funciona todo el tiempo, es muy fauvista, cómo la de André Derain, yo es que la dejaría ahí, pero entiendo que estás enseñando y buscando el parecido y realismo. Un libro con tus tutoriales para maestras, maestros y alumnado de academias humildes, sería una maravilla . Gracias por tu trabajo

    Thank you very much Susan! I'm following you from Iran. You have a very kind and beautiful heart and I do love your demos and works. I have a question plz, Do you suggest copying from your paintings or other famouse pastel painters works as a practice?

    • @monetcafe
      @monetcafe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome @goli2790, I appreciate that so much! And Hello! that's a great question. You have to be very careful when it comes to copying other artist's work, due to copyright infringments. I, of course, would hope you would follow me and feel free to use any of my lessons. I hope that hepls, sweetheart.

    Have you ever used any iridescent or sheen altered acrylic paint down as an under painting ?
    Also which product do you think is the most vibrant,Derwent or acrylic ink ?
    Thank you so much for your videos and inspiration !

    • @monetcafe
      @monetcafe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, but that sounds like a wonderful and fun thing to do! I have some iridescent watercolors, but I don’t have any iridescent acrylic paint. I love both Derwent inktense Blocks and acrylic ink, but I think the acrylic ink might be more brilliant when it is not diluted too much with water.

    I really enjoyed this. Question: I am curious as to why you chose pastels as your medium to work in - instead of acrylic or watercolours? I work mostly in acrylics, some watercolours & pencil art - but I have been dabbling with pastels - but find them difficult to work with....

    • @monetcafe
      @monetcafe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much, @annehebert6959! I'm so glad you liked it! I've used other mediums, as well, but I always come back to pastels, or combine them!!! Mostly pastels, because I LOVE the vibrancy they create. I'm sorry you find them difficult to work with. I've included a link below that may help! Happy painting!!

    • @monetcafe

      🙂 🙂 🙂 ❤, @missdeesaccount I'm not sure if it would be considered archival and it would depend on the type of paper. but I wouldn't see why not. Art is about having fun too! So I say go for it! 💜

    Is the Adobe Firefly app desktop or mobile. Is it part of Adobe suite or standalone? Cost?

    As a newbie my inclination is to blend and smudge with my finger which i see you never do.

    • @monetcafe
      @monetcafe  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I actually used to blend with my finger or other blending elements when I was first starting. I’ve learned that less blending keeps the pastels more vibrant in color and less muddy. Also, once you add a few layers to pastel sort of start to blend themselves.
