Great video, seeing you progress has been a pleasure to watch since you started out at this and although the crashes are funny I sincerely hope you dont have too many and always manage to walk away from them in one piece. 👊
Twisted oaks is sick, If you go back again soon you will easily be progressing to the double jumps. Keep at it hope you walked away from that crash ok? Looked gnarly, especially for a beginner 🤣🤙👊
Sam looks like he has tons of potential if he could land without crashing. 😆 Kyle looks confident for a newbie and Mike and Mike you guys should be hitting gaps in no time if you stick at it. Love the video, great views of the park throughout and I hope to see you there one day. 👊🤙
I am 37 and would like to get in to this type of sport. I notice your all riding different types of bikes so I wonder what you would recommend for a beginner?
Great video, with helpful tips, could see how you all improved as the day went on, well done all of you, surprised you didn't hurt yourself Mike, on that bad crash.
I can see that on every jump you are bending your legs & also crounching into a crunch position. This and bad timing is why you get bucked. Check out some decent how to videos or have some lessons before you get hurt. Your body posture should be open, not all crunched up. Looks like you had a great day. Twisted Oaks is great.
Did the founders of such a sports take advice on how to do it or watch videos first? Dont be silly Graham, how can a founder of something take advice of how to do it? Besides you dont need some know it alls advice to learn something 🥱. I am ADHD so I learn by doing and I have seen all the "How to jump" videos they are all partial info and therefor bad advice. Its focusing too much on the whole "Standing up to the jump" thing that has made me crash due to landing back wheel first with the front wheel in the air. See here: th-cam.com/video/wn7XancA0IU/w-d-xo.html I scrunch the first one and land it, I stay up right on the second and cant get the front down and land back wheel resulting in one of my worste crashes thanks to the "Stand up to the jump" advice. I have actually improved tons in the last 11 months of experience since I stopped listening to advice about 6 months ago because in the moment it means nothing. Ill stick to learning how the founders did thanks. But thanks all the same and thanks for watching I appreciate the support of our channel more than the advice 😉 We did have a great day, I have fun whether I am crashing or landing a jump, you know why? I like the pain I used to box so I can take it and I am learning in the best way, by having fails in the early stages. Twisted Oaks is the best I love it! well worth the 70 miles, I would go further to, I assume you have been?
@@INSOMNIAC2017 It took me a while to get the technique right. I have a background in extreme sports and ran my own indoor skatepark for 7 years. My feeling is that the founders made the mistakes so we can learn from them, otherwise they did so in vain. I struggled with jumping on a MTB, even though I have a background in BMX, it resulted in me having a bad off and now I'm the proud owner of a titanium left hand side of my face, needing cheek, orbit and eye socket replacement, nearly killed myself. I then decided to get a few lessons from a seasoned rider, and now my riding is coming on leaps and bounds. A lesson is far better than a how to video as the instructor dealt with my personal bad habits, not just blanket teaching likem the vids do. But as i say about everything, do things your way, it may be the best way, but if you find that it isn't then maybe take some one to one advice. Very entertaining video, I got into MTB 2 years ago at the age of 47. Keep up the good work.😎
That all looks just way to scary, its amazing that you found this as a hobby at 40. That graze looks nasty.

Most beginners I know would have been put off by that crash over a double he didnt intend to try jumping. 😎
You boys all look like you have potential, stick at and I cant wait to see how you all develop your skills. Mike get some knee pads at your age. 😉

Looks so much fun there, when you go back share some more of the park in the video.
So talented Mike, all the things you do
Make sure you film the next visit so we can see how you all advance. Good video hope to see more again soon. 🤙👊
Dude that crash could have been so much worse, the fall down the bank on the other side looked high to. So glad your OK though. 🤙👊🙏
Love watching this, great video Mike
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Stick at it dude you are doing well for 10 months practice
The clip I watched of your crash on facebook is in such a different context it looked as if you was actually trying to jump that gap. 😂
I know right
I hear you have been back to twisted a few more times since this? hows the progression going? got any updates for us?
Why dont you get an Enduro Mike?
Too many parts to worry about, I like to keep it simple and keep it about the jumping using more skill than using rear suspension boost.
Try out Woburn bike park to.
Woburn is hardcore
This place looks like a lot of fun
Damn Mike died twice in this video, legend!
😆
What bike is that your riding?
Its a retro frame modified Planet X Jack Flash dirt jump bike.

I recommend a full suspension (which is both front and rear suspension), have a look at some trustworthy brands
@@moonunit2004 Thank you Alex, what brand do you recommend? and what type of bike should I search for? Mountain bike?
You are nuts Mike
Keep at it boys
Is this the end of gaming content on your channel now?
What happened to all your videos? You had like 300? Now it only shows 109?
Great video, with helpful tips, could see how you all improved as the day went on, well done all of you, surprised you didn't hurt yourself Mike, on that bad crash.
Crazy fools. You should try out a foam pit that would make some good crash videos from you lot.
Sick, I want to get in to this.
Go for it, Thanks for watching
Why did you decide you get in to this sport at 40?
Needed to stop looking at screens and start living.
Mid life crisis

@@INSOMNIAC2017 That's great. Crack 9n. Twisted Oaks is great - it's a 3 hour drive for me but well worth it imo.
