would you change anything if the 3D printed piece starts out with a basecoat of black? I've got some smoke trails for inceptors, but they're basecoated black and I'm worried I won't get the same effect as this. Also would something like Corax White work as a base to water down for the same effect?
Os hice un pedido con los laseres de las armas de los necrones, si algun dia haceis un video de como pintarlos para que queden como en las fotos estaria guay xd
Nice! I'm assuming a citadel white will work just as fine with it watered down? I have some of the smoke stacks and they are awesome. Fitted to my admech guys was so easy. Easier than the GW stands.
Thank you for showing how to do this with non-air brushes!!! So many people just go "You want complicated gradients? Get an airbrush."
A good wetblending can be really good! So happy you like it! 🤘🏻
This came out fantastic! Thanks for sharing!👍😎
Thanks mate, glad you like it!
The subtle translucency of the smoke plumes is really awesome and beats all the opaque models out there !! :D
Thanks mate! We created a tutorial for clear resin too. We think translucency it's another layer of detail you can play with
Yes OSL !
We will do it for sure! Next one blaster effects! (more 2D style like our Star Wars: Legion Fx)
I’m gonna have to save this one for later I have some Battletech minis that come with jumpjet plumes. Not quite to them yet but I’m getting there
Glad you like it mate!
Great work. Ty for sharing!
Thanks! Hope to make more tutorials soon
This is a fantastic tutorial. I got some jumping 'Mechs for Battletech and this is exactly the effect that I was looking for.
Thanks mate! Did you check out last bundle of fx for Battletech?
@@DeadlyPrintStudio I'm not sure what you mean there.
Amazing results in few minutes!!!
Thanks mate
What resin do you use for print that ?
This clear resin seems cool
We use Sunlu abs clear resin. If you want extra translucency tips, check our video for that!
Buen video
Gracias!!!
Great job. Appreciate the video tutorial
Glad you like it!
Absolutely stunning!
Thanks mate!
@@DeadlyPrintStudio I’m looking forward to picking up your effects!

You can achieve a similar result. Basecoat it with white in the more brighter parts of the fire and leave more darker parts in the smoke.
Do you made the rocket?? And what did you use?
It's included in the smoke fx
do u use plastic glue or super glue for ur products as it is resin?
Super glue or super glue + magnets!
Is priming recommended for these bases or are they good to just paint on?
As you can see, we don't prime it. The "layers" of the 3d print help to stick the paint easily. We usually finish with varnish!
good job :) and thx for the tutorial
More than happy! You are achieving amazing results even without it!
could you do a how to print stormdragon breath bases please
It's something we have in schedule. We are a small team, hope we have good news for you soon!
No hay que hecharle imprimacion antes?
No hace falta. La resina es muy porosa, siempre acabamos con una capa de barniz y listo!
Great tutorial man. Every tutorial I’ve seen like this seems to be based around an airbrush which is super annoying if you don’t own one 😩
Glad you like it mate!

Pues el siguiente va a ser de blasters, no específico de necrones, pero nos lo podemos plantear!
Label on base from where come from
You can buy at our website. The name of the product is “simple name plate”
No priming?
No priming! You don't need it with the 3d printing layers, really good adhesion

@@SilentMannam Yes, you can water down citadel white! Smoke stacks are way more sturdy and resistant than the flying sticks!
