I've come to appreciate this one more in time. I am still not too fond of the lalalas that are beloved by so many fans, but the song is still beautiful.
"Not too fond of the lalalas?" What planet are you from? How can anyone not love these beautiful ladies and their songs? I heard them on the radio in the 70's and 80's. Always liked their music, but now, I am 75 and love their music more than ever! I will see them perform in April of 2024. Can't wait!

I guess I was lucky to be a teenager during their most successful years. One of the best parts of my life and my best friends loved them too! I used to sleep over at my best friends house on weekends. He had two brothers and two sisters and the whole house used to go to sleep with an Abba album (vinyl disc) playing on repeat all night. I got to know every song they ever recorded.... one for every occasion. This was one of my faves. The lyrics are actually quite profound, not your typical superficial pop lyrics.
I'm a 64 year old man. I saw ABBA at the Manchester Free Trade Hall in 1977. They are the musical backdrop to my life and I never ever tire of listening. Indeed, I've been known to think I have been wasting my time when listening to others when I could be listening to Agnetha.
This song is helping in my grief journey after losing my wife of 35 years to ovarian cancer 6 months ago. 😢grief emotions are like a roller of the sea comes and goes.

Without Frida ABBA would never have achieved the success they did. Going solo, Frida was more successful than Agnetha. Without Frida, there would be no ABBA. It amazes me how people are unable to hear the effects of Frida's amazing voice, her wide vocal range as opposed to Agnetha's high pitched voice. The angelic sound ABBA is so famous for is not achievable by Agnetha on her own. Frida's voice is really what makes ABBA, her classic beauty too.

Wherever ABBA went, they made people feel more loving and happy. ABBA brought a measure calmness to a world on the edge of disaster. Now, no ABBA, and look at how really fucked up today's world really is... Scary. We need another ABBA!!!

Wherever ABBA went, they made people feel more loving and happy. ABBA brought a measure calmness to a world on the edge of disaster. Now, no ABBA, and look at how really fucked up today's world really is... Scary. We need another ABBA!!!
