A few weeks ago I said that Dandadan comments are coming, now they’re here, with the arrival of one of the best character in the show, Mr. Mantis Shrimp. 🥊🦐
Это не колыбельная, у меня дочь засыпала исключительно под Пинк Флоид, там прекрасная гармония, огромная музыкальность и пронзительно как и у АВВА индивидуальность
I haven't been feeling good lately. I have the sensation that i can't cry even though i want to so bad. Everytime i hear this song it makes me tear up and I feel loved and heard. Thank you so much ABBA. I wasn't even born when this song came out, but your music and your love transcends time ❤️
Hmmm tf you wanted to say tho?? Like who career where you get that from, the only thing matter is the person came to see what this song is, and it's great.
This song has carried me through some of the darkest, loneliest moments of my life. “Chiquita, you and I cry, but the sun is still in the sky and shining above you” if you’re reading this, just know there will be both good & bad days. Just keep your head up xx
On your life's journey, enjoy the ride. Change what you can and except what you cant. Don't look back with regret, a waste of time. At the time it was you making decisions with the information and resources you had. Good or bad. Look to the future and explore.... Looking back in a few years you will then say " I have done what I could with those resources I had. So relax, explore this time and space. There is a vast world out there. And stop picking on yourself...there will always be someone higher or better, but remember you alone can make yourself feel better.
@@jowilliams1111 Just old. I told myself a long time ago, that I would would make an effort every day, in that time in space, an awesome one for everyone I come in contact with. So, it makes me feel good, them feel better too. Am not spiritual, but I do know this, when you realize that you have that influence to make the world around you better, you will then use your abilities to effect a positive environment. Please to meet you.
This song always feels like it’s telling me, “You can cry. No one here is going to judge you. You have the right to feel, dear.” It’s nearly impossible for me to hold back tears when listening. Especially the piano at the end, my goodness! Thank you, ABBA. You always bring me comfort.
I think this song relates to the breakup of one of the couples and is directed to their daughter who was about nine years old. Poignant . I may be off base with this.
Has anyone noticed how "real" this music video is? Frida constantly has to pull her hair back when it blows in her face, but she does it in such a beautiful way and it makes it all just feel more authentic. They could have just reshot the video, but they didn't. The imperfections make it all even better!
The fact that ABBA gave this song to UNICEF and that they have raised several million over the years from this song to help small children makes this already wonderful song even more emotional. ABBA will probably remain unique in music history forever.
@@jeffthomasscott I get what you mean, it's more of a melodic thing but still, people who speak English pronounce things incredibly differently so synchronicity in another language is still a fair skill
Their English was really good, but the odd time I'd miss a line because of their accents. For the longest time I didn't understand the bit about "you've broken a feather" -- and I've only recently realized what they were singing in the line about "your love's a blown-out candle". I had no idea what that was. Still I LOVE this song and never get tired of the LIFT it brings me!
My mother use to sing this song to me when I was a young teen as I battled deep sadness & depression. May she rest in peace in heaven forever until we meet again, you will see. The memories of your singing keeps me going.
Your comment made me cry. What a beautiful mother, who knew that this song would heal any sad heart, and who sang it to you. So much love she must have felt and experienced. God bless her soul.

years ago when i told the doctor i was depressed, my mom yelled at me afterwards (i guess maybe it caught her off guard, dunno how tho lol). hours later, she came into my room while i was sleeping, hugged me and told me she wanted me to listen to a song. so she lays down and makes me lay with her and she hugged me and plays this song while she cries. we didn’t talk really, we just listened while she hugged me and rubbed my head like she did when i was a little girl. i don’t really remember what happened afterwards, i just remember her leaving the room. it’s been years and we haven’t talked about my mental health since, and she’s become more intense in her religion so it’s been really suffocating. but in my sad times i come back to this and remember that moment. it’s like- not much happened but a lot did at the same time and while it didn’t change anything, the song just reminds me of those couple minutes and that feeling i had while i listened to the lyrics. how i wanted to sob, but didn’t, how i was so angry but so sad for my mom who went through so much trauma, how we both went through so much together and how she just didn’t know how to help or how to talk to me but tried to make me feel better if just for a couple minutes. on our worst days i can’t relate to her at all and i have to just think of this moment of when she tried her best to show me she could

this was my grandfather’s favorite song. we played this song in his funeral. no words can explain how i felt that day hearing this knowing he’s not coming back.
I don`t think this is sad song at all. More like, where one person is comforting another, and saying like everything will be alright in the end. Song itself, the melody and music is uplifting and full of hope.
It's the song version of when you realize you've overcome a rough period in your life. Absolutely magical how this song completely encapsulates that...
Exactly even though I always cry when this song plays because of Merl streets voice in mama Mia and u cry for slipping through my fingers no matter who sings it but it makes me cry because of how it reminds me of happy times so really happy tears
My mother would sing this to me when I was upset. And in turn, I would sing this to my daughter when she was little and she got upset. This is the most beautiful song ever written, and I often cry when I listen to this song and think of my daughter when she's sad. Such a wonderful and beautiful song. Masterfully written, full of heart, and filled with both heartache and hope.

My mother made me a Abba fan, she used to play this song on her old record player every Sunday, and dance with us, way back in the 80s when I was about 4 yrs old. Good happy memories. Miss her so much.
Esta canción brillará eternamente como las estrellas allí en lo alto. Es un himno a la pureza de las niñas que nos enternecen el alma y que debemos cuidar como el tesoro más grande en la tierra.
The reason why i love this song (aside from the lyrics). I’ve been listening to Abba since I was a kid. I’m 25 now. Their instrumentals are just so good. Ahhh.

How I hate to see you like this

I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

How the heartaches come and they go and the scars they're leaving
You'll be dancing once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grieving

Let me hear you sing once more like you did before

On your life's journey, enjoy the ride. Change what you can and except what you cant. Don't look back with regret, a waste of time. At the time it was you making decisions with the information and resources you had. Good or bad. Look to the future and explore.... Looking back in a few years you will then say " I have done what I could with those resources I had. So relax, explore this time and space. There is a vast world out there. And stop picking on yourself...there will always be someone higher or better, but remember you alone can make yourself feel better.

For English being their second language they harmonized their voices perfectly. I love Abba
What does language have to do with harmonizing? But yes, they harmonize like no others.
Don’t forget the Spanish version as well
@@jeffthomasscott I get what you mean, it's more of a melodic thing but still, people who speak English pronounce things incredibly differently so synchronicity in another language is still a fair skill
I worked with Swedish for over 10 years, and Swedish speak English perfectly, almost like a native :)
Their English was really good, but the odd time I'd miss a line because of their accents. For the longest time I didn't understand the bit about "you've broken a feather" -- and I've only recently realized what they were singing in the line about "your love's a blown-out candle". I had no idea what that was.

years ago when i told the doctor i was depressed, my mom yelled at me afterwards (i guess maybe it caught her off guard, dunno how tho lol). hours later, she came into my room while i was sleeping, hugged me and told me she wanted me to listen to a song. so she lays down and makes me lay with her and she hugged me and plays this song while she cries. we didn’t talk really, we just listened while she hugged me and rubbed my head like she did when i was a little girl. i don’t really remember what happened afterwards, i just remember her leaving the room.
it’s been years and we haven’t talked about my mental health since, and she’s become more intense in her religion so it’s been really suffocating. but in my sad times i come back to this and remember that moment. it’s like- not much happened but a lot did at the same time and while it didn’t change anything, the song just reminds me of those couple minutes and that feeling i had while i listened to the lyrics. how i wanted to sob, but didn’t, how i was so angry but so sad for my mom who went through so much trauma, how we both went through so much together and how she just didn’t know how to help or how to talk to me but tried to make me feel better if just for a couple minutes. on our worst days i can’t relate to her at all and i have to just think of this moment of when she tried her best to show me she could

The reason why i love this song (aside from the lyrics). I’ve been listening to Abba since I was a kid. I’m 25 now. Their instrumentals are just so good. Ahhh.
Yes, the song is in general unusual for the pop world as it heavily influenced by traditional South American music.
Abba is
timeless.
beauty is timeless.
Yes indeed
Beautiful Abba. 😆😆
Yesssss 😊🥰💖🎵⭐
Really timeless.
This song (Spanish version) got me through the worst time last year, love them so much. I’m only 18 and I’m so glad they still touch new generations.

4:49 The most beautifully majestic OUTRO ever CREATED of all TIME
Divino Dayacap I agree. The best outro ever.
maybe not the best (I can think of others), but definitely among the best. As a matter of fact, just minutes ago I had finished editing that outro part out of the song and save it separately so I can put it on loop and listen to it like a maniac xD
Agreed! I edited this song so that the outro is al lot longer...!
did it turn out fluid? I mean, I edited too, but in my edit you can clearly hear where another loop begins, and I'm not pleased with the result. How's your edit??
the basic reason that made this song one of my favorites of all time! absolutely love this outro!
This reminds me of being young in Norway. My mom was always singing Abba, specifically this song when she was doing housework. Makes me feel at home
Awww! 😍😍
Sunday mornings. Boney M and ABBA blasting whilst my mom cleaned the house.
What a wonderful memory!
@@BeccaMason1987 as a man, I still listen to Abba, when I clean the house:)
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes, there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh, so sad, so quiet
[Verse 2]
Chiquitita, tell me the truth
I'm a shoulder you can cry on
Your best friend, I'm the one you must rely on
You were always sure of yourself
Now, I see you've broken a feather
(How it hurts to see you cry)
(And how it hurts to see you sad)
I hope we can patch it up together
[Chorus]
Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go
And the scars they're leaving
You'll be dancing once again
And the pain will end
You will have no time for grieving
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky
And shining above you
(Even though you cry)
(The sun is shining in the sky)
Let me hear you sing once more
(So let me hear you sing some more)
Like you did before
(The way you used to do before)
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
Try once more, like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
[Verse 3]
So the walls came tumbling down
And your love's a blown-out candle
All is gone, and it seems too hard to handle
Chiquitita, tell me the truth
There is no way you can deny it
I see that you're oh, so sad, so quiet
[Chorus]
Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go
And the scars they're leaving
(You and I, we know)
(How all the heartaches come and go)
You'll be dancing once again
(You’ll be dancing once again)
And the pain will end
(And all the pain you take will end)
You will have no time for grieving
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky
And shining above you
(Even though you cry)
(The sun is shining in the sky)
Let me hear you sing once more
(So let me hear you sing some more)
Like you did before
(The way you used to do before)
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
Try once more, like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
[Outro]
Try once more, like you did before
Sing a new song, ChiquitiA

Yeah, this happened to me this morning, can't stop.

I was born in 1980 and this song my father used to sing to me when I was a baby. Maybe, it's the most familiar music of my life. Now my dad is with God and I can't stop thinking and being thankful. Thanks, ABBA!!
That's so nice! Merry Christmas to you :-)
Thanks a lot!! Merry Christmas!! Enjoy!!
where are you from. im brazilian of maranhao your history is same of my, only friends, wwagnergreat@yahoo.com.br,

Maria do Carmo Grünewald Branco very touching story Maria. I sing lots of songs to my daughter who is now 3. Hopefully she will remember one day. Thank you for sharing.

"You'll be dancing once again and the pain will end"
It touched my heart. I know Abba got the fame they deserved, but I still think they are underrated. Their composition and arrangements are in another whole level. Look how colorfull their songs are. Same level as Beatles...? (Ready for the critics)
Да не нужна здесь критика. Вы всё правильно сказали. Я с Вами полностью согласна.
@@Sveta12345-q Yo también estoy de acuerdo
👍👍👍
ABBA is better than The Beatles actually.
I like the best Abba songs better than the best Beatles songs. They still excite me, even though I'm 66 years old. Nikolay, Siberia.
Before leaving home for a job away, my dad sat with me and led me hear this song while cuddling me. I was 2. He passed away few months ago, but this song takes me back to that moment and his presence. I miss him so much.
Oh I am so sorry to hear 🥺❤️
I hope you are okay
Ok.
Peace and love Maria. Hope you’re okay. Keep hold of his memory and he’ll be just fine.❤️
Fathers are truly magical
I used to think this song was annoying as a kid when my grandpa loved it... Now hes gone and im an adult and I understand each note and each feeling in this song... And I can't avoid sheding a tear when I hear it... I love ABBA 🙏🏻

Thanks Dan Da Dan for reminding me of this song.
During my last breakup which cut deep, I sang this song to myself to comfort myself. I got over that one and will never forget how it uplifted me. Going through another breakup and this song played on loop when I came into the supermarket to shop. I know my Higher Self was shouting me out. Thanks Abba.
Hey how are you doing
Glad it helped you, myself I know when my mother dies Abba will remind me of her and it will kill me make me sad. Even though a lot of it is uplifting and we both like them.
I hope we both heal from our breakups! We can do it
Yes ... thanks ABBA.
Break ups suck .... good luck.
Probably a reason they're dumping you.
