I myself ride and compete regularly, Aswell as taking part in local drag hunts.
There is no need to kill a fox at the end of it.
Drag hunting is a sport and provides a huge thrill for anyone involved without the death of a helpless animal at the end of it all.

Very well said and eloquently worded. Nobody needs fox hunting. It is truly a barbaric "sport". I was happy to come across this. We need more people in the public eye speak out against such atrocities. Thank you for taking the time to speak out against fox hunting.

Brian, I agree with everything that you say, especially at 1:03. How could you accept a knighthood from someone who wrote letters to Tony Blair pleading for him to reverse the ban on fox hunting and whose family continues to kill hundreds of animals for "sport" every year. Just google "Charles and Camilla fox hunting". The Queen was also heavily involved (she was also patron of the Royal Foxhound Show) so you wouldn't have been able to accept it from her either. How about handing it back on 1st May ? You would be in good company.
There is a sport on horse using blood hounds that does everything similar to the sport of fox hunting. But they DO NOT hunt a fox. They hunt down a specially trained fast running man or woman. & When the blood hounds catch up to the runner they blood hounds cover the runner in very special hunting KISSES. No killing involved.

As a compassionate hunter I find it sick to hunt only for sport. I hunt for food, now if we could arm animals for sport animals then that would be OK I guess. My friends all hunt for food only. When a dear friend of mine was healthier that was the only source of meat he ate for an entire year. Its being Ethical and compassionate

I know this is old but Brian! You made sweeping judgements about people you don't know. Someone's indifference to the plight of foxes does not prove they are incapable of showing compassion.. I was surprised by what and how you spoke. However, it is 23/01/21 as I write and it appears that Theresa or Boris haven't got very far with regards to over turning the hunting ban. Now we chase dog walkers around the countryside to find out if they have a justifiable reason to be out of their houses!!! My, how times have changed!

Why did you accept a knighthood from someone who is still hunting foxes? He wrote to the PM several times to lobby against the ban on hunting with dogs. Just days ago Charles was hunting on his estate in Romania. He has no compassion for animals yet you smile and agree with him ????

Fox hunting is terrible
I agree with the fox hunting ban and don't worry I'm convinced it won't be repealed..why is this even a debate? everything elce is just subjective political opinion/propaganda and shouldn't have been included in this video.
So animals are now on a par with humans? What have we come to.

Animals are crueler to eachother than a normal person would be. Ever seen a penguin eaten by a large bird (or an animal eaten by any animal)? They've got nothing on a well placed bullet to an unendangered species.
Nermket you miss the point. In nature those are called expected normal deaths based on the need for food or territory. The animal when it is hunted by a human suffers an unusual non natural death even if it is by a bullet. To you this seems quicker but unless you’ve had it happen to you how do you know? How can you consider an event from nature on par with some dickwad killing an animal for no reason at all but selfish cruel sport?

Whilst fox hunting as a subject does sparks passion on both sides with both sides making passionate arguments I find videos like this quite inappropriate to the subject. This is not a video about fox hunting as it was despite it being painted as such. It is like all political propaganda, intentionally misleading and substantially untrue. You really don't have to stoop to such lows to try make a point. You could easily impose the same logic in this video to all none vegans and inherently evil people with no respect for children, sick people or poor people. You could even take this to a far more ludicrous extremes to people who eat plants too but why bother as its clear the logic in fundamentally flawed. The rhetoric in this video is very disappointing and does make me loose respect for Brian May. I feel videos like this paints supporters of the ban in a unfair light. We all see stories of animals rights activists acting crazy but its fair to say not all are so crazy. The best thing for anyone actually interested in the subject and even more so important if your actually planning to vote largely based or solely on it is to strip away all this propaganda and take a cold unbiased look at the facts. Appreciate both sides and accept both sides do have valid points. Then take the time to formulate your own pinion and do what you truly feel is right. Whilst I never liked the traditional for hunt before the ban and have no wish to take part in such an event I do feel people trying to silence people from there opinion with lies and deceptions are the bigger worry.
