I appreciate what Infiniti is doing with this sedan. Why spend the money changing the design of an already decent looking sedan, especially if it is still keeping up with the competition in a dying segment of the car market? Instead of spending money unnecessarily, Infiniti is providing value oriented sport sedan buyers an interesting option. I hope Infiniti does eventually release a new version of this car instead of discontinuing it. I fear that Infiniti will eventually go to an all SUV lineup, or they'll turn this car into an EV or hybrid.
These reviews never discuss reliability. Wonder how the Q50 compares to the current German brands after the warranty has expired. My neighbors 2006 G35 has been impressively reliable.
I gotta say I had a 2014 and I sold it in 2021. The thing literally didn't have a single rattle. 115k on it when I sold it and I can say I regret selling it. It was truly the best car I ever owned in my life. Fast, comfortable, amazing Bose system. I have had two cars since neither of which have been as good. I never should have sold it.
It's clear If you looking for reliability go for the lexus IS or hyundai G70 German after warranty ain't reliable unless your annual mileage is less than a 15K miles a year and infinity like them Infinity issues start with ac to suspension
These lease for about what you'll pay for a Civic Touring. A Red Sport lease for less than an Accord Touring. So there is definitely some value and the car still performs well. I'd take it over an A4 or Lexus IS for sure.(of course not an IS500 or RS5, but you get what I'm saying!)
I was like, “wow that trunk area sucks and it looks like there’s barely any cargo space back there” to him opening the door and i was like “THAT INTERIOR IS NICE”
The Q50 is a tough sell. You could get a fully loaded Mazda 3, that looks much nicer in my opinion, for less than the base price of the Infiniti. Granted, you do lose some performance, but it sounds like the Q50 is lacking in driving dynamics as well.
@kadota21 I traded my Mazda 3 Turbo and for a new Q50 and there's a difference in luxury feel and the power in the q50 is stronger and faster. Also, the looks on the q50 is much better. The Q50 also has better seats. There's almost a 10k difference between the top of the line Mazda and Q50 and you can definitely feel the difference. I will say the Mazda for the money is very comfortable and the interior is nice too.
I still own the 2013 G37X, the year before the redesign. I've been waiting patiently for the next redesign because I know if I bought the latest style it will change again the following year..lol. It is annoying WAY over due to the point you think they will discontiue it. I'm looking for a max 5 sec range 0-60 and not many choices in this price range.
I recently drove a 2023 Q50RS in the Black Opal color (gorgeous color in person) and it was better than I thought it was going to be for a sedan. I love my SUV, but I loved how sporty and comfortable the Q50RS was. It’s at the top of my list for my new car search😁
It still looks and drives very well! One thing you can say is that it is very well developed and there are a lot of parts. So, I do hope they don't throw out the design completely and rush something not that well developed to quell the naysayers. Yes, it needs some refresh and refining the weak points and also a price slash would be nice to keep it selling well.
You need to drive a sport not a base model like this that comes on 225 run flats lol these car’s lowered with a 275/35 tire out back with 245/40 up front makes this car handle really good
Ten years later it still looks the same and needs a total overhaul inside and outside. For the same amount of money I would purchase a Lexus or Acura sports sedan.
The Q50 still looks good but needs a major refresh in terms of design and tech.

I thought I read that Infiniti’s sales went off a cliff, that could be a reason for making design changes.
Old school sedan. But you what, there’s a market for that.
Im 46 and love that interior. Im gonna go test drive one

@@asimalharbi8796 your argument became irrelevant after you mentioned hyundai

Only watching this cuz the base model of this cars 24 month lease is cheaper than my brz lol
@@rayrayimpact WOW!! Insane when you really think about it.
@@rayrayimpact insane i am getting luxe 2024 on a 2 year lease, amazing deal rn

This is a redesign?
This is called "phoning it in"
This car is so old but still looks so great. My mom had 2 before getting something else because she was annoyed they've made no changes
Just tried very unsuccessfully to keep up with one of these😳 an awesome car ...my next one methinks ...great review
What do you mean?

Have you experienced both of the cars you’re comparing?
@@Dundun4793 Yes, but neither for long term to be fair.
Mazda 3 is a tough sell, you could get a loaded used 2010 Ford Escort for $5k😂
Tho the design has aged very very well.. it’s due time
For an update.. for sure
It's got a CD player! I'd buy it just for that!!
Yep, how many of us still have CD's that we can't play anymore? We can keep 'em in the good ol' Q50.

So is this basically tha Maxima version of Infiniti ?

I never doubted Infinity cars. They're all Incredible
It’s as dated as the IS but the q50 has a lot more power than the base IS so the Lexus is even more dated
10 year old design still looks pretty good
wanna buy this someday
Why would you not mention the Acura TLX??
Because it's FWD based...

To me, this is peak Infiniti and was the best car for it’s time. But the car predates the entire Genesis brand! That’s a problem.
It’s time for them to make a new Infiniti sedan the q50/q60 are old
Best car to buy used. Affordable and reliable
I love my g35x, but no way I’m moving to this… maybe the g80.
Ten years later it still looks the same and needs a total overhaul inside and outside. For the same amount of money I would purchase a Lexus or Acura sports sedan.
I'd rather have the Audi A 4.
This is a pretty nice 2009 car. Oh wait, this is NEW?!
OUTDATED!!! It has a CD player for crying out loud.
Id consider one, maybe, for 50% off 🤓🤓🤓🤓
To much money for what they offer sorry.
This review in 4 words "Eh it's not terrible" 😂
I like 👍🏾 😮💨
Altima vibes
…..slow day at the office !
This car still exists 😅
My infinity will not stay running
Wow this is the 2023? It already looks outdated 😵💫
Boring, old car 🥱
I’d rather buy a 1/4 horse 🐴
Even the new Prius looks better come on Infiniti
This car is tooooo expensive and so outdated.

Yawn. Infinity needs to step it up.🫤
😂😂. Nah I’m good with it. Best bang for the buck
