Thanks for your kind words 🙏🏻 Unfortunately, I don't know how the Ignite and Vantage compare since I've only owned one of these. I'm not a "professional reviewer" (yet ;-)) and only talk about stuff I personally own and use.
Thanks for honest review, I'm considering this watch as a gift to someone, could you please advise if you can read sms and see who is calling? Also does it provide HRV reading?
Hi Feliks. You can track your HRV in the Polar Flow app on your mobile. The watch display only shows current, highest and lowest HR. It also shows you incoming calls and messages, but I never tested it. In fact, this was the first thing I switched off when setting up the watch. I don’t like to be constantly bothered with notifications, especially when I work out ;) I think this watch would make a great gift.
Thank you very much for review. Answer please how usefull this watch for gym training? Can u switch work/rest intervals yourself? Like in Garmin, tap and here's work interval, tap again and here's rest interval
Hi Sergey. I see that there's an option to set intervals for your training, but I've never used it. I do interval trainings myself, but my gym has its own displays with timers so I don't bother with the watch. Sorry I can't be of much more help with that.
Great vid. I’m using the ignite 2 which is laggy & always has been. It gives access to some of the sleep tracking on watch and some like the boost feature using the app. I also use for functional strength tracking / gym workouts and like the way i can beam HR info to compatible gym equipment if needed. I’ll get the 3 in the new year as my battery capacity is declining rapidly now. Can you put the always on display on whilst using the timer? As you cant with the ignite2. I switch to apple watch sometimes but prefer Polar’ flow app.
@@dustin.nitsub , if you're asking about the Ignite 3, one of last year's updates fixed the lag issue. Recently I experienced a different one - the watch stopped syncing automatically with the Polar app on my iPhone. I'm not sure what caused it, but forks fine now after a few iOS updates and a recent watch firmware update.
@@NormcoreGreghey Greg, thank you for letting me know. In fact, I just ordered mine last weekend during a double day sale. I actually owned the 1st Ignite with battery wearing out after a few years. Was in love with this Ignite 3 design when it first came out as well (key reason why I didn’t go for a Garmin). I’m definitely not a runner yet I had some years working part time as a group fitness instructor so I prefer something simple like the Ignite product line. I agree with you most reviews were wrong cuz they reviewed it as a running watch while the positioning has always been general fitness and wellness tracking. Can’t wait for mine to arrive. Would love to get the Titanium one but they only have the standard Ignite 3 where I live. Guess it should do the tricks. 😊
Hi! I don't actually look at the recharge data too often. I did at the beginning, but the readings matched my own observations - whenever Polar said my nightly recharge was poor, I also felt tired or sore after a hard past day workout, for example (or if I had a glass of wine/drink the evening before). So, for me I don't need the watch to know if I recovered enough or not ;)
It depends on what you need. Polar Ignite doesn’t have altimeter or maps, which are popular features for trail runners. I would check out Polar Vantage V3, which is more powerful and feature packed than Polar, but it’s also more expensive and bulkier.
@@NormcoreGreg perfect, do you recommended it 100%? I currently own the Ignite 2, loved it but now I wanna upgrade it and I see the titanium for 25% off price, should I purchase it before the offer ends?
I don’t know how the comparison between the two would look as I only have the 3. It does its job for me, it looks nice and is pretty durable as far as I can say. If you think it’s a good deal for you and feel like you want to treat yourself with a new toy for the new year, I say go for it :)
Thank you for sharing! I am moving from an Ignite to an Ignite 3 and excitedly awaiting its arrival.
Thanks for that great review. I were looking for that a long time. Will give it a chance. Where did you get this beautiful leather band?
Hi Benjamin. The band came in a set together with the standard silicone one. You can check it out here - amzn.to/4cN6AmX
Great video. How does this compare to the Vantage V2?

most reviews are wrong i agree. glad you mentioned it ! 😂😂
Happy to help ;)
With that leather band it is the best looking fitness watch on the market. Wish they had same one with same color for the new V3.
Agreed. However, this band is not designed for training as the sweat (and moisture in general) leaves permanent stains on it.
Good review
Love to hear more about the walk-in closets 😂
I don't think I'm going to continue the narrative ;)

I’ve just checked and the display stays on when you use the timer. It just dims a bit.
@@NormcoreGregThat’s great cheers for coming back to me & have a GREAT new year 👍
I heard latest update fixed the lag issue? Not sure if it’s true? Please do share, I wanna get one to replace my own Ignite (1st gen).

Hello from France. What do you think'of this watch for recovery tracking ?

@@NormcoreGreg thanks you for tour answer 🙂.
Good start in the video creation area. Keep up the good work, try to improve your speaking speed.
Thanks mate for your comment! This means a lot. I am working on my „youtuber skills”, speaking included :)
very nice video ! thank you
Glad you liked it!
hi, I usually run 3 to 4 times a week. Do you think it's a good one?

real question is; Does the glass screen scratch easily?
I’ve been weight training wearing my watch for 6 months now, hit it with kettles several times and there’s not one scratch.
