Obama took that and ran on it. The $6k child tax credit Kamala is campaigning on was originally proposed by JD Vance in a series of interviews that he gave 2 weeks before Kamala announced it as her own plan. The no tax on tips was a plan Trump came up while hosting a rally in Las Vegas after talking to a waitress. Kamala waited 1 week then campaigned on it as her own.
