" THIS SHOW IS FOR YOU" SAID GEORGE LYNCH TO ME IN 2006, IN FORT WORTH AT THE AARDVARK CLUB. WHAT A PERFORMANCE. GEORGE HAS THE " TONE WITH LOW END THAT SURPASSES OTHERS" " BONE TONE" GEORGE IS MY B1-1 B, THE BONE" OF GUITARISTS. I HONOR AND PRESENT TO YOU " MR SCARY" GEORGE LYNCH. KEEP ROCKING MY SACRED BROTHER.AMEN. ❤️
Thanks for putting this up....he's scary with he's unleashed. I have to agree, heard lots of other live ones, but this one he was REALLY in the pocket. What a killer live performance, and a day before Halloween....he throws in some great tasty bits, like on 3:15....great performance!
Last song they played at their concert in Philadelphia late 80"s or early "90's, Don was working the crowd & George came around behind his amps, & played a little like you would in sound check, Don jumped, it scared the shit out of him....don't let Mr. Scary creep up behind you.....It was pretty funny, though. God, them 2 fought so bad, they got into a fist fight in the back of their limo on the way to the venue to perform.
So crazy to see this was April 7, 2001. That was our wedding day and we had gotten married a few miles away from the Coach House down in San Juan Cap earlier that day. Coach House is such a great place to see shows, too.
@@carolmarable6825 Yes George is an amazing guitarist! GOAT not even close is right!! Everyone has their own opinion on that. GL Is my second favorite after EVH. RIP King Edward 🤴
Yeah but a kid today, all they have to do is click on TH-cam " How to play like George Lynch" and don't have to put in all the extra work like all the Van Halen's and Lynch's did to actually hone the craft! This generation has it EASY! I've been putting in the WORK for 38 years learning technically how to play and not doing the "quick and easy" way of playing guitar thing.
Seen Doken open up for Aerosmith and 2 Songs into Doken opening George Lynch Passed out Don Doken Looked at George On the floor And And Originated the Mic Drop
My favorite and if he would ever see this comment I would say slow down. I wanted to see Eddie VH and Lynch make a slow beat blues beat sound and leave the guitar with a thick rich sound but no shredding or at least very little. Eddie only did it one time playing a TOTO song Hold the Line. Ed was incredible. Lynch could still do it and everyone would buy it. Zack Wylde understood this 15 years ago and continues to write and play blues rock songs with a hard edge to them. I want to see Lynch do it. It would be incredible with that sound. I would even work for him and help him do it.
Not the original Lynch Mob Wicked Sensation band line up . But lets be Honest if George is playing Lead Guitar it's Lynch Mob no matter who's on stage with him !!!
Does anyone know what his solos are based on? are they blues based? Can't hear anything in them that resembles blues or jazz or anything. EVH, Clapton, Page, beck etc. all blues based players. Yngwie is classical harmonic minor based..Lynch???
He speaks about it in interviews, he never learned the "proper way" to read music he just made up his own way of looking at the fret board kinda like making up his own Language. Pretty Amazing I think.
Unfortunately this performance is a shell of what he was capable of in the 80s! One of my heroes but unfortunately he lost his chops a long time ago... Much respect for what he accomplished though!
He was awesome in the early to late 80's. After he started lifting weights his playing suffered quite a bit. It seriously slowed him down. I hate the song Paris is Burning because of how Don's voice sounds, but George's solo on that song is flat out incredible. He's still an excellent player and always will be.
@@richardcurtis2693 I agree..it was a drastic difference after he started juicing...i mean hitting the weights! ijk...i think. Yes hes still one of my heros...just his old stuff. I cant help but want to hear his unique style when he plays now.
@siraxalot49 In other words, having a separate opinion from you equates to one's ears not being right? Didn't you just say it's pure opinion? But only yours matters. You talk out of both sides if your mouth. All your posts are the same way...good, but bad, but respect the good, but it's bad when I say it is, because I say so. 🤪
I play in a three piece, with a throat-(Dead Mans Hand)-the copious delay, in stereo, helps to fill a lot of empty holes that I couldn't fill otherwise. I'm good, but I'm no virtuoso I cheat as much as I can! :)
What a mess of endless whankin' noise. Some folks (old Rock guitarists) just don't know when they've reached their limitations like inspector Clint Harry Callahan and should just fade away like good olé' rock n roll soldiers.
George and Edge can get together and have a jam session with their Echo plex's with the repeats krank to 11 jillion. And No where not playing Stonehenge tomorrow night ! LoL
Is that why it has been so important for me to have reverb lately? Lol. I got a cheap little solid state Fender amp and it has delay and reverb on it, been having fun letting my 80's shine. I never thought about it covering up shit playing, but quite possible. lol
Randy Rhoads, Dan Wexler, and George Lynch are my top 3 favorites of all time.
Dan waxler lethal weapon guitar!!!!
George can really shred! I never get tired of watching him perform.

George was one of my heroes in the early to mid 90's. I don't think he was one to be screwed up on stage and have really bad nights. Not sure.

I have the George Lynch Knucklebonz figurine. He & Edward were my two hero’s back in the day. Paris Still Burns Live!
Criminally underrated.

Great stuff. Nice to see this serious shredding.

Best of best!!! 👍👍👍
The dude is a monster on the guitar he is pretty scary!

Everyone has their own opinion on that. GL Is my second favorite after EVH. RIP King Edward 🤴
It's a matter of impression. Guitarists don't have an official ranking system. George was my top preference.
He shreds to smithereens, at will, like a fox in a henhouse at midnight!
Love both content and style of what you wrote here.
I have to admit he is totally awesome. But the kids now days are killing it just the same. Total respect.
Yeah the kids today are indeed. Take a guy like Billy Strings... amazing

Kind of sounds like Paris is Scary mixed with Mr Burning. 🤟🏻😁

George used to pass out if he ate too soon before a performance, once he started to eat later he was fine.
Not to do with drugs or drink or otherwise

Legend phraser, tone and pinch harmonics. This is a bit saturated but we know what he's written and can do regardless 🔥🔥
Wowwhhhh George.......
👊
can't remember what song, but george showed randy a rif to use and randy used it in a song.
According to an interview with George he used to be a tutor at Mrs. Rhoads school so he probably did.
I bet this would sound better without the delay pedal, or at least turned down and with fewer repeats.

Lynch's playing totally fell apart when he got into the heavy steroid use. This playing is a shadow of what he was before leaving Dokken. 🙂
these were his steroid years
Lots of delay to cover up the slop. Modern day Jimmy Page. Loved his Dokken & Lynch Mob work. This, not so much.
@steve beck and endless shredding and arpegio sweeps that don’t go anywhere

OZZY should have went with George after the death of Randy. I figure by then Dokken was pushing up his value to much. Sharon is such a cheap a$$.
jake is a better guitarist
@@longlivedio3498 Really? That is amazing.
Lynch is a good guitar player but his song writing is weak and that has held him back
agreed
Delay anyone? GEEZUS! Lynch is getting WORSE everytime I hear him.
I enjoyed George back in the 80's. This though is a mess. Not a fan
this is rough on the ears
Weak guitar sound, must have been using the randalls instead of a Marshall.
SO GOOD LYNCH MOOB
Never the same live, degree of difficulty compared to studio was too much
not exactly Vitto Bratta.......... shoulda been a wrestler where no finesse is required !!!!
Not that I want to diss George so much as thumbs up Vitto. To bad he went reclusive, I would love to hear more of him.
Vitto Bratta? C'mon dude ...good guitarist but where is he after the two white lion albums...George still plays
he used steroids ?
Definitely.
yeah no shit I watch pro wrestling and lots of pro wrestlers use steroids and George looks juiced up on something
I'll take Billy Strings any day th-cam.com/video/fJmzS_Redh8/w-d-xo.html

That intro was long. And quiet. And weird.

I'm not impressed. Echo plex 😂😆
