These photos are amazing! Each one evokes stories and emotions that connect us with the past. It's impressive how you capture the essence of each moment. I can't wait to see more!
What’s saddening is here in the U.K. unless you can afford to go private that’s how people have to deal with dentistry today. It just hit me how disturbing and disgusting that is😢 Where I live there isn’t a single NHS dentist within 30 miles, how can this ever be ok?
Everything was going great until the A.I. voice screwed up again. When it clearly said " Dropped a three zero, zero, zero pound bomb..." instead of saying a "three thousand pound bomb." Artificial intelligence is anything but intelligent.
Always nice to see history rather than read or hear it. Some very nice pictures thru the cascade of time makes a person think about then till now how things have progressed.
First off, I'd like to say this video was well done, as well as quite informative... so I hate to be nit-picky but here goes. The picture of the early surfers in the 1920s, the narrator states they are holding rudimentary boards "very different from the, lightweight and aerodynamic boards we know today." Wouldn't hydrodynamic be the more appropriate term in reference to a surfboard?
I remember seeing these air conditioners on car windows in the 1950s. I believe the conditioners were filled with water which kept the cars as cool as possible.
A number of the photos have the complete info wrong. For instance, Bill the Kid wasn't playing Cricket. Americans didn't even know WTF Cricket was. It was croquet.
Incredible pictures! That horse is beautiful. As an electrician who's worked on high voltage power lines. That picture of one man giving another mouth to mouth is moving. Im reminded of the biblical verse, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John15:13 My grandparents were among those Cubans that migrated to US in the late 30's and 40's, that included Mambo. Who could have imagined Nelson Mandela would free S. Africa on one hand, yet destroying it in doing so. S. Africa's economy has never recovered. The level of violence has only increased.
I don’t know what that was they called a swamp cooler… but swamp coolers were very common out west. It was a heavy canvas bag that was hung on the outside of the car, over the radiator. The purpose was to cool the car. Good idea. Cheap. We should go back to swamp coolers and make a smaller carbon footprint.
9:20 There was a period in the USA when there were many children and fewer adults due to a series of global earthquakes which caused massive 'mud floods', which buried many buildings and killed many people. Millions of children were brought in, over a period of about 50 years, and adopted. I still haven't traced the details on this woman who was responsible for all of these children being brought in from 'God knows' where. Very strange. Why were ALL of these children blonde haired and blue eyed ?! Where the blue blazes did they come from ? I don't know. Is that why there were so many children working in jobs for which men clearly would do much better and would be chosen for those jobs if they were available: Why would anyone put a child in a Cole mine unless you had nobody else? Plus there was the Civil War, which killed many more ppl of all ages. It's a wonder there were any people left in 1870. There is soooooo much crap in History we know almost nothing about.
For the date many of these were supposed to have taken place, the photos are much crisper than they had the capability of producing. I’m curious if these are reproductions? Or have they been digitally altered to give you a much better “picture” of the picture?
Yeah I'm sure they are cleaned up a bit. But I have been seeing most of these same pictures long before the digital age. Other than being clearer they look the same. I have never seen that one of President Lincoln funeral though, pretty cool photo.
Can you imagine parents so caught up in science that they raised their child with an animal that had the strength to pull their child's arms off? The height of bad parenting.
Let Us see the more ‘Cryptic’ Collection of Photos which We know Are Extant but likely in Private hands ! Volunteer your hidden gems for the Edification of all, you Will be richly rewarded for the action and ignition to many others who will do the same. . Here’s wishing You Well and Prosperous 🌺

Bob Hope was a naughty boy! And sadly all those wonderful uso shows he did were a cash grab for him, he owned the rights. Or read THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, but that's far out even for me. Am I crazy or annoying or both?
Now TH-cam is going to get like Xfinity everybody charges money for every spot.. I can't stand the greed in this world.. where is all the fun in watching these videos then.. flipping through and looking at different things on TH-cam is fun and I already pay the family plan but if I'm going to start getting charged for every little thing I will shut it all down because I have had it!
The photo of the largest horse may have been the result of a deliberate double exposure, but not a product of AI. The first time I saw the photo was in the early 1960’s, and it was considered a very old photo then.
UHH. PROFESSIONAL EQUESTRIAN HERE.... CAN I PLEASE HERE SOME STATS ON THAT TITANIC DRAFT HORSE, PLEASE!?! HEIGHT?? WEIGHT!? BREED?? Good GOD, how big were his SHOES?! HIS CRAPS!? I bet he was as gentle as a kitten though 😊 they don't call draft horses Gentle Giants without reason! He doesn't even have anything "nasty" on him to handle him- hell, even I had to run a "stud chain" across the nose of half of the geldings and mares I've competed just leading them around... This pussy cat is just wearing a plain cavesson with a simple loose-rinf Snaffle bit... Pretty much the "softest, kindest" bit around, usually used when training youngsters with soft mouths & a very common bit used by the majority of 3 Day Eventers, like myself, for our Dressage phase... That is INSANE, since I absolutely believe this is authentic?!! Gah what are those colored draft horses called usually...That color... I know it's black & white but it's definitely a roan, a blue roan I think? Is it a Suffolk Punch? It NOT a Belgian, definition not a Clydesdale (Budweiser horses) Percherons are usually black- Shires?! Shires are generally dappled greys and blacks... actually I think they can be a lot of colors and are known for being exceptionally TALL as well as HUGE pretty sure the tallest recorded horse ever WAS a Shire that stood over 22 hands at the withers- which... I cannot even fathom?! I've stood next to an 18.3h Percheron/Thoroughbred eventer... ridden horses that were 17.3 max?! At my Goliath height of 5'4" and all with a 15hand horse being exactly 5ft tall, a "hand"= 4 inches, so. A horse MY height is 16.1... that beast is like nine feet tall?! Jesus I know im just babbling to myself at this point but, buhhh?!?
This credits a 6' 10" Nigerian art student as the sole inspiration behind the Xenomorph in the Aliens Series - completely WRONG, as the design was entirely based off of HR GIGER's Artwork and direct design prior to the writing of the Script . They needed a freakishly tall person for the role that required them to wear a suit and wanted someone skinny and tall, versus someone more in proportion like Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Basketball players. Bolaji Badejo the nigerian suit wearer, fit the bill, but wasn't invited back for sequels - his movements, lack of stamina and general lack of basic talent for a non speaking part and miming non stunt parts (a stuntman did most, if not all the acting). HR Giger worked closely and desperately with Bolaji through the course of filming to try and help him, but Bolaji proved that some people are truly useless.
No subscription from me, and in fact, I down-voted it. It's like you have a deadline to spit out as many facts as you can in a half hour, and nothing is going to get in the way of that. Oh, and it's pronounced "Dee-core-uh," not "Deck-or-uh."

My dad was born in 1898. He pulled his molars with pliers. Horrors!
My dad did that to us in the 1960’s.
Billy the Kid was playing Croquet NOT Cricket!
Thank You! I was hoping someone else noticed that.
Wasn't that Robin Williams offering the Thinker a roll of toilet paper?
That is what I saw also lol
It is ! I have that framed in my home.

Yup, that was him!👍🏼

Good catch.
AI is t even perfect 🤷🏼♀️
narrator missed the fact that was Robin Williams handing toilet paper to the thinker
21:42 That photo of Sharbat Gula's eyes are unforgettable.
Henry Ford and Hitler each had portraits of each other (scary). 22:44

Duh! The had water in them, they were SWAMP COOLERS
They all were meaning full mate❤️✌️
This is what kids in school should be learning. ! Oh and...cursive writing!
The constitution is WRITTEN IN CURSIVE
WOW! Interesting and useful fact to know!🎉
Wow! Beautiful horse!
Rooftop concert was last resort after George Quit for 3 days and none of them wanted to travel. Disney+ good documentary!

How about getting the AI voice-over to take a breath between photos rather than morphing the descriptions of one photo into the next.
Not a bunch of yak yanking! Just a brief description of each. Great! Thank you!
The Chinese troops ran over that guy on live TV.
Although I recognized several of the subjects, it would have been more interesting to have had a blurb for each picture.

@@bettyharrison9537 desert bags. We used both kinds. The canvas bag was used to cool the radiator. That round one for inside the car.
Yes to Robin Williams

That Wasn't CRICKET Billy the Kid was Playing in New Mexico, That Ball and Mallet Game Is Called Crocket but I don't see the Metal Arches marked out.
At 21:10, the actress's name is blipped out at the beginning. Who is she?
My reaction too. Why don't you hear her name?

There's a restaurant in London called Bibendum, 5 Michelin stars, shocker
Funny

The height of bad parenting.
There's a movie about Mela Mikova Pavlenko on Amazon Prime. It's pretty good. (14:30)
Catch the one eye symbolism way back then!😅

The pic of the guy who married 1 of the two conjoined twins 😅 that's so sick of him !!! Really, damn
Maybe he did and she said “No thanks!”
So who won The Mayor or the other guy?
No horse could be that big !
I agree. It would be deformed because it's bones wouldn't be able to hold the weight.

No such thing as african American. We're all American, thats it.
Croquet not cricket. Cricket was invented many years before the photo was taken. Poor narration.very simple to find out what was being played. Lazy.
