Back then it seemed like the biggest rip off to pay to play online. Ah how innocent I was. Now you have to pay for a bunch of DLCs for the full experience. And don't get me started on micro transactions. Things used to be so simple back then.

Microsoft were the ones who started pay to play online so it doesn't make sense to switch to them even if you did get games for free. PS Plus was also cheaper when it first launched.

PS Move v/s Wii (which Kevin's Mom could try and play) v/s Kinect 6. Killzone v/s Halo (back when either were still a thing) 7. How weird PS Home was (lots of free stuff from this hack too) 8. Folding@Home having that cool globe to read the news while running cancer research and then disappearing 9. Secrets such as Sony secretly adding wired Dualshock 4 support to PS3 via firmware updates without telling anyone (make that wireless bluetooth, wired was mostly working other than the home button) 10. What if PS3 girl gets jealous of Nariko from Heavenly Sword because Kevin likes her? Maybe that's where she realises she has a crush on him? There's so much amazing stuff and you're all amazing!
I remember listing to the live recording of Podcast Beyond from IGN when Greg & Colin did a whole episode when PSN went back online on that Friday or Saturday night in 2011. Sad that 10 years later they won’t talk to each other now.

You might want to try the PS3 software update that broke everybody's Blu-ray drive. That happened to me right after Demon's Souls released. I was without my PlayStation for about a month and a half while they repaired it.
A journey thru space & time with PS3. Love her 2011. Definitely set a benchmark for what PSN had to do, to be better. Ten years ago. Hope it doesn't repeat again
