Thanks Mic! Can't believe how well the spiral wheel worked at sorting those 1 and 2 cons. I'm unsure how I lived without it until now! Love it.

Winter hasn't even started in Finland yet has it Orhan? I think your seasons are opposite to ours. Nice and warm here at the moment. Soon to be unbearably hot 🤣

an integrated auto-panner, very good idea!
I‘ve specifically been waiting for an update on your table as I was wondering how you‘d deal with the experiences made earlier.
The math is interesting to say the least but considering my material is a nuisance wirh fine gold, flakes (often round and very thin) but also nuggets.
I‘ve decided to go for a very light construction: plexi table (could be warped up to the collection bins), neoprene matting, maybe silicone mat (the stuff used for baking instead of parchment), one large box for the closed water system.
As I‘m not going for a steel table and frame and would want to drive it electromagnetically I‘m also looking in to air or water „bearings“ for the linear motion.
If you’re in the mood for optimising your table I‘d probably get myself an adjustable linear actuator and give it less travel but slightly higher frequency.
Sound complicated but it can be solved mechanically. Was the previous table of the same size? I recall that you replaced the table itself but kept the drive train?
Watched this with my wife, both loved it!

Close mate, I kept the table as it was, but replaced the drive train for it. Just made lots of changes to the deck. But it's more or less the same as it was.
I like the sound of many of your ideas, but i do wonder about what throughput you wish to achieve? Mine can do approx 200kg/hr max as I've tested it so far and it could have 10kg or more of materiel on its deck at any time.
Seen at the table is approx 2mx1m and is required to do a fair about of work it was essential to have a very sturdy deck and very sturdy frame underneath it to make sure the parts that were meant to move, moved and the parts that weren't, didn't. A lot of vibration is easily transferred into the frame of the unit if it isn't super strong and that will drastically affect its efficiency. It's a catch 22 of size and weight to get it right when your deck size is anything over a meter squared from what i can tell so far. Very sensitive machines!
I was super super happy with how well the spiral wheel performs with this system now. It makes the whole job so much quicker! Would certainly recommend that upgrade for anyone with a similar system 😁

Another good video Bryan. Is that gold in the ball mill from when you processed my last lot of ore? It would be good to see a sniping video one day ;-)

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Probably not Rick. Your gold was heaps chunkier than that! I'd done a few little samples from the property here recently, so I'd say the chunky stuff came from that. With the addition of some nice flaky bits from elsewhere too. 👌
I'm too impatient for sniping, I don't last long before I get bored in there 🤣

I hear you say about hammers for a hammer mill.
    All available here in Australia.
Beckworth Steel in Coburg or alternatively get them laser cut from 400 Bisalloy.(very affordable)
