I'm consistently blown away from Manitou/Hayes these days. I can't think of another brand that has made such quick leaps in their tech. Most importantly this stuff is wildly nice for a kid rider. I swapped out our stock McLeod on the Clash 24" we have with a Mara Pro. Both are super nice but dang the Mara Pro is really really nice. All of the independent adjustments make it easier to tune as a Dad for a 72lb kid without screwing it up. Overkill for most 8yros I'm sure but not when they are sending huge stuff and the small details matter. Oh, and get those Hayes Dominion brakes with the SFL (small finger lever)...MASSIVE upgrade for a kids brake (or adults). Perhaps the best brake ever made for under 1k$.
As a McLeod user I'm very excited about this shock, unfortunately not available in 200x50mm. Wouldn't you be able to lay your bike on it's side to prevent oil from running out?
The new mattoc pro boost has a good increase of stiffness because of the different designed crown and more massive rear arch. Thus if you are not a 100 kilo heacmvycharger, it should be plenty stiff, but the Mezzer does not seem to ride harsh because of the chassis.
When and where can it be purchased. Super excited to upgrade my bike from RockShox. After swapping out Bluto for Manitou pro I feel a huge improvement. Now time for the rear shock.

Think this might be the way. Not keen on spending the $$$ and servicing an X2, but absolutely not satisfied with my Super Deluxe.

Hi, What weight range do you recommend the shock for?
Mezzer or Mattoc Pro at 160mm travel? Was thinking maybe the 37mm stanchion of the Mezzer would be too stiff at 160mm travel.
