  • Sanjay migrated from Nepal in November 2016 through the Express Entry program and the Federal Skilled Worker Program. He is working as a design consultant at a mid sized company. He secured this job through the Canadian job bank which helps Canadian employers get access to new immigrants from the express entry pool. Sanjay and his wife are living happily in Toronto. In this video, Sanjay speaks about public transport, real estate prices, food and groceries and overall cost of living vs. the income he gets.

Toronto shit hole, worse City in Canada I waste 13 years there I finally find Beautiful BC .
Don't move to Toronto. People there are racist, rude, no manners, their God is the almighty dollar. Their mentality is set up for squeezing the last penny from your pockets doing little to nothing. Traffic sucks. Winters sucks ...more and more . I can write pages and pages of negative experiences.
      Do no go there

At least you were accepted as an immigrant. You should be ashamed of yourself and you think that BC or Vancouver can do a better job? With these house prices in Vancouver how is this any better what you experienced here in Toronto. As a former immigrant - from Germany - as a female I had to go through very rigorous processes. At that time being from a country whose first language was not English or French, we immigrants had to endure and work twice as hard in order just to be recognized as a people. We were told that we were functionally illiterate because our first languages were neither English or French. Canada, how dare you treating us that way even though a lot of immigrants from around the world had better education, had better jobs but were ostracized because there were coming from countries whose first language was not English or French. You are still doing this kind of discrimination. It has not changed in the last 40 years. You Canadians, have achieved "real progress", except you have not.

      Let's explore the facts
      1) He has been living in Toronto since November, 2016 - he can't lie about this as his visa shows this
      2) He is clearly not comfortable in front of camera, which is why his expression. Making a video is harder than it seems. requires public speaking and confidence.
      3) This video is when we were leaving - we had no time to rehearse and I had not briefed him about any questions. I was just making up the questions as we go.
      4) Here's a blooper / outtakes of making this video - because we are good friends since college, it was very awkward to ask him serious questions, but we pulled through - th-cam.com/video/jCpXTTpYhLA/w-d-xo.html

    Dear Ministry of Labour..
I am reaching out to you regarding IT job scam run by Offshore Indian Consulting companies like TCS, Tech Mahendra, and Infosys. These companies are taking 90 of the tech jobs in the city in the pretext of cost-saving for big banks, government and almost any organization that requires IT support. They are sending resources directly from India on work permit basis without considering any local candidate. They also have their scouts spread all over the city and they low ball you for a contract or full-time position and create a record that they interviewed a local candidate but in reality, they place only people who are from India and would need the work permit. It is unfortunate that in a country like Canada our job situation is being directly controlled from India. Also in regards to their cut in a contract, if End client is paying $70 an hour, they will take a margin of almost 35% - 40% and in some case 50%. All their recruiters are Indian (Names Changed)and maybe even physically present in India. My question is what is our government doing anything about? Are they even aware of this situation? People are saying we will lose our jobs to robots in the future. I dont see robots but I see TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys.
They take your resume and never give to the end client. In case there is an audit by the government they have a record that they conducted an interview and no local candidate was available. Everything is orchestrated in such a way that it looks like everything is genuine. Jobs are created for Canadians but taken by offshore companies to fill their greedy pockets.
I call them IT mafia from India. Some of their partners in crime are these companies below run by ex-employees/ friends/ family who is playing apart in this mega scam. These crooks should be audited often.
    Thanks

Mudasir Yaqoob I faces the same issue in USA as well lot of these companies brought work visa candidates and also lied on their resume and showed fake experience of 6-8 years.
It is very difficult for honest person to survive in IT in US. Did you find the job in Canada. I was hoping situation was better there?
