Thanks for the thoughts and presentation, I feel these videos combine the ‘I read ….’ Videos and your thoughts into well presented views and opinions. This video provides a good structure on how to look at play/strategies that we can all use in our crypto journey, whether its early or late in one’s cycle. Appreciate the time and detail you spend on these videos.
I remember those old videos on AAVE, what brought me here and was my first real interactions with DeFi and bridging. Years later I now work in the the crypto industry and I bridge and use L2s weekly.
Really like your content. There is a reason why ETH DeFi/ETH is down only. Crypto's user ecosystem growth is highly dependent on price reflexivity and ETH DeFi TVL is overly dependent on ETH's valuation. So ETH DeFi can't really outperform ETH because it is so dependent on ETH. This fact is no different for Aave. The user growth is now happening on Solana side. And Aave's brand awareness is really in the EVM world. Plus, you even see a lot of competition against Aave from emerging L2s' protocol. Right now Aave is sitting at 25-30 multiple, fair pricing. For it to double, you really need to see ETH double or ETH user base to double. I am not seeing this happening for the latter case. In the former case, it is just better to hold ETH. ETH DeFi token is just trapped it can't perform better than ETH but it can absolutely do worse when ETH goes down. The root problem with them is they are too ETH-centric and many are too arrogant to explore growing ecosystems like Solana to capture new user base.
@@louiec1848 Plenty. Kamino, Drift, MarginFi, etc. All of them are printing on deposits because SOL degens are levered like crazy and bullish asf. You see high APY on USDC north of 10% from all leveraged borrowing. So these protocols are eating nice on the spread.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Taiki, the most mid-curve thing from this video was you staked. With a cool-down window. Crazy. If you really believe in AAVE, then borrow against it. Even if you're risk averse, just borrow to 20% LTV. I can almost guarantee you your AAVE will make more than 4% doing this. Gotta stop mid-curving, man. Shouldn't really be staking anything tbh. Definitely not for 4%.
You mentioned at the 31:51 that LIDO is "probably good", but LIDO is pretty sth *can't hear it clearly*. Would you mind elaborate on that? LDO has high flow to FDV but at the same time it doesn't have value accrual afaik
The staked fee of around 4% is not worth the risk of 30% slash. They need to increase that rate by a lot to get people to join the protocol. 99% slash for the GHO token is wild for the return.
❤💛💚💙 If ETH goes to $14k, that's 4x. If AAVE does 10x.... you only get +2.5x on AAVE/ETH. That is considered an abysmal failure. (Because AAVE needs 10x on ETH just to get back to its 2021 AAVE/ETH highs). Basically AAVE needs to do 40x to break-even to ATH
I don't understand the prevailing narrative that the ETH ETF is good for SOL. This is just insane to me. There's not necessarily a reason to believe that a SOL ETF approval is imminent nor that it would be particularly successful even if it were. An ETH ETF is good for ETH not for SOL.
Well glad you thought that through its, prolly because the metrics and growing community and developers, it's size in comparison, idk what else the charts, the sol/btc , sol/eth sol/usd outperformance....... I mean I could keep listing, fact is 2 different products, room for both in the space, bullish on both
@@seanmonear4917 I'm not dogging SOL necessarily, I am just saying that an ETH ETF has nothing to do with SOL so this narrative being promoted by shills makes no sense.
Every new achievement by Cyberopolis is a step towards realizing a vision of a more accessible, decentralized crypto world. Excited to be a part of it.

Thank you taiki I like this content format much better.
I’m in the arena, picking bottoms 👍
Thanks Taiki, I share your thesis. I think Aave is a $100 billion protocol in the making.
AAVE up 50% since the day he posted this to everyone hating on the coin/shorting it. Consistent growth the last year. 😅😂
good overall content. Time to put the utility back in crypto

Totally agree. Is there a decentralized lending protocol on solana at the moment.

I see Versidium as a long-term hold. Great fundamentals!
Versidium's use case is exactly what the crypto world needs.
