    That one day of the year when you wish you had the 2 stage self propelled version...

      Literally! It's like one or two times a year! 😂

    Hey. I'm in Castle Rock. Must agree; when the sun shines on that snow a little bit, it sure gets heavier.

      @@meunsupervised7320 You've got me interested in the Skydio 2+ now. I've got a DJI Mavic Air 2S, but it struggles in tracking me in the snow. I do snow removal videos as well. I felt like the Skydio did really well for you.

    Oh damn. That's the rubber auger 😐. Seems more powerful than the steel

    • @meunsupervised7320
      @meunsupervised7320  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, it is. I was going to bring this up on the next video, but it has yet to snow. I feel like the auger doesn't spin as fast on the metal unit as it does on the rubber!
      Rubber Auto will throw two inches of sloppy wet snow 25 ft easy but the metal auger barely moves the snow out of its way and I have to get it again with the next pass inevitably making the last pass extremely heavy, wet and sloppy!

      @@meunsupervised7320 so you've had both I'm assuming?

    You've put that thing through it's paces for sure. You think that amount, depth and consistency of snow is right at it's limits? Been thinking about an upgrade to a new model OR swapping out the rubber paddle with a steel auger.

      Yeah, seems like 14" is it's comfortable max. I've also got two metal auger units at the office. They seem about the same other than the fact that the metal can chew up icy chunks.

    Listen, your video is awesome. I was wondering how you got your drone to do that or with someone operating it any chance you can fill us all in?💪🏻💪🏻

    Is this the machine with the rubber paddle or the one with metal auger? It looks like your house could be located on the hill above Bible Park. You are doing too much. It's nice to help, but this is ridiculous. I didn't get to mine in the street in time. My smaller Greenworks machine doesn't compare to what you have.

    • @meunsupervised7320
      @meunsupervised7320  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This absolutely is the rubber paddle! I purchased two metal auger units for the guys at the office but I can assure you it doesn't throw snow as far.

      @@meunsupervised7320 so would you say the rubber paddle version does a better job dealing with wet, heavy snow vs the metal one? Up here in Ontario, Canada, we have been getting a lot of wet, sticky snow. You need power for that stuff if you use a single stage blower.

    I have Ego lawnmower, blower, string trimmer. I looked at Consumer Reports and they rated the Ego 1 cycle 53 points while the battery Toro 69 points. So not sure if I should go with Ego? I have an investment in Ego batteries may be only reason to stick with Ego?

    You mentioned having used this machine for 7 years. Have you ever replaced any parts such as the rubber auger or the scrapper at the bottom?

    • @meunsupervised7320
      @meunsupervised7320  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had to replace one of the paddles of the rubber auger thanks to forgetting that I left my rain barrel drainage hose in the driveway. It tangled pretty bad and ultimately, I decided that it was worth replacing the one. Which means I now have an extra Incase something happens later down the road.
      The scraper bar. That's a different story. I was burning 3 a season! As you can see from my videos and my modification video, I had added skids.
      Since then I have yet to replace a scraper.

    Atleast we know it can last about 14 minutes of pain :)

    • @meunsupervised7320
      @meunsupervised7320  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The drone, yes. 14 min is about all it had in her. The EGO on the other hand got about 30 min in 14" of snow but at averages around an 45 to an hour of runtime for our average snowfall.

    You may want to trade up to a self-propelled 2-stage, and use climate change as an excuse, it might seem a might slower than a push at your own speed, but it's a tad wider and hey, none of us are getting any younger. Nice drone videos.

    2 stage far better choice. 👍

    • @meunsupervised7320
      @meunsupervised7320  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I rarely need a two-stage. So for me it's a waste and this machine is more than enough 99% of the time.
