Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. It’s indeed very nice of you to do so. In your recipe you did not mention , if the rice four was store bought or home made. I do realize that the home made flour is slightly wet than the store bought one. Is the procedure the same? Sorry to bug you🙂I love vellai seedai and so do my children😬. 🙏. Determined to try it this time
Your sweet memories with this receipe and the way you express your respect towards ur mother in law was beautiful. Stay blessed Amma. Thank you fir this wonderful receipe.
Janmashtami wishes to all of you amma. ...thank you ..made both uppu seedai n Vella seedai later in the same oil. N made very tiny balls gently n also slightly bigger Vella seedai ..Bcos kept little oil n totally took only 200gm n both hv turned out very well. Just tht I added copra dessicated coconut powder n it has come out very well. Used ready made bhagirathi modak atta n urad atta from Bigbasket. Roasted both n made Prasad. Thank you Amma. I was scared ...but it has come very tasty n crispy both of them. Thank you. Hare Krishna 🙏
Aunty, I should say this..the way you explain makes every dish so so simple and comfortable.. we immediately think we can make it. You don't intimidate us with your explanation giving a list of "don't do's"..

You make it effortlessly. Vellai Cheedai is very tricky. Tried it a few times and every time it’s a disaster. Probably depends on the quality of the jaggery too. Any tips for a fool proof one😁. Thank u

Don't worry Lavanya. I hope you were not hurt. Sometimes this happens even to experienced people. Please make sure that the flours arsieved well before use. Also dissolve the sat in water and add.Dont roll out into tight balls. just roll them lightly with your palms
Aunty so thoughtful for making the video with store bought rice flour; I am living abroad and we cannot grind flour here . Thanks a ton for this video .
Please sieve and dry roast the rice flour before mixing to avoid chance of bursting in oil
