The "son for a son" made me so angry. Season one she wanted a child's eye because her son was hurt, now "yeah, kill my son...and Aemond? Nah, don't care, Aemond is Aemond."
Also, Daeron is her kind son, yet she doesn't care if he dies too, considering that he's fighting in the war she helped start. Rhaenyra made it clear that she must kill all who challenges her claim to the throne, which includes Daeron.
In Season 1 of course alicent wants retribution for the maiming of her INNOCENT child up until that point aegon and aemond are seen as innocent on top of that at that point in the show alicent and rhaneyra hadn’t made peace yet it was in episode 8 at the end of viserys final dinner that they put their pettiness aside and reconciled so of course alicent would stick up for her children then but now at the end of season 2 aegon has become a drunk, impulsive, rapist who alicent has already expressed her discontent for while aemond has become an unadulterated murderer who as seen by alicent isn’t worth saving she’s content with sailing away with her only pure child (Helena).
@BigRobMC And Daeron the Brave? Alicent has 3 sons. Daeron had a different upbringing, and he turned out kind. Alicent's brother had to assure her that Daeron being kind wasn't because he didn't grow up with Alicent as his mother, and she was glad for that. She clearly believes she played a part in Aemond and Aegon turning out the way they did. Rhaenyra made it clear to Alicent that she needs to eliminate all who challenges her claim to the throne, for everyone to see. This includes Alicent's kind son Daeron, who is fighting in a war that she helped create. She sentenced all of her sons to death so she could be free of responsibilities. Aegon didn't even want the throne and now he is betrayed by his mother who put him there.
@@Dlord1PlayStation that’s the tragedy of it all alicent failed as a mother she was too busy politicking that she neglected the upbringing of her children which resulted in them turning out the way they did that’s also what makes aegon a character that can sympathized with he involuntarily was put into a position he was not qualified for and has to deal with the repercussions for something he didn’t cause but in regards to Daeron seeing as alicent never has even met him before she doesn’t even know what he looks like it’s understandable as to why he wouldn’t be immediately on her mind but in regards to the narrative that alicent is essentially “knowingly putting all of her male descendants to death” I would disagree for Daeron. Alicent sees this move as a way to cause an immediate end to the conflict with the fall of kingslanding, the deaths of both aegon and aemond being too catastrophic of losses for the greens it would be irrational for the living supporters of aegons claim to NOT bend the knee in her mind. The reasons for aegon and aemond needing to die wouldn’t automatically transfer to Daeron aswell because of how much weaker his claim is then theirs. Aegons claim already isn’t strong it’s the reason half the realm is torn between him and rhaneyra that’s what makes his role so crucial in this war of succession where legitimacy is everything now if he were to die in what world would the third son who has never even been in kingslanding stand a chance of proclaiming himself king. All he would have to do is bend the knee, swear fealty to rhaneyra, and the odds of him living would be high
"Aemond is Aemond" would have made more sense of we'd seen her reaction and that of Otto after they're told what happened. If he'd insisted he was right, and his brother toasted to his "victory", while she and Otto thought it was a major screw up, then yes, that line would have made sense. She seemed perfectly okay with Aemond killing Luke though, and so did Otto.
The more you see Mysaria as a Sara Hess self insert in season two, the more her role makes sense. She was basically redone to be Rhaenyra’s lover and biggest d-rider-Sara Hess’s perfect self insert character.
@@1992zorro very true because her writing hasn’t improved since House and Orange is the New Black. She’s only gotten this far because of her activism and the diversity hiring quotas in the entertainment industry.
You're concerned about that? Please tell me that with every major red flag about the writing, your main concern isn't Sara Hess... Because there are serious problems with this adaptation that have nothing to do with your political agenda.
@@samf.s.7731the problem isn’t that the writers disagree with someone’s political opinion. It’s that they’ve made their own politics the engine of their story, and they spoil everything else that made the story good.
If you aren’t a leftists. You don’t see it as a good thing. You see a same sex relationship with her spy master. That’s not a good thing, that doesn’t make her the good guys, that makes them bad guys. That’s a morally bad thing to do.
Aemond's character flatlined as soon as episode 4 ended. They never show us how people react to his actions, like Luke and Rhaenys dying, instead they just throw in a few lines like "you know what he is". And then in the last episode "The Character Who Never Was" they make him a flat out 1 dimensional villain and they DON'T EVEN SHOW IT HAPPEN. The favoritism is so blatant.
Well, they never showed us how anyone reacts to important news this season. Skipping the reaction of House Green to Aemond killing Luce was Season 7 of Game of Thrones all over again.
He was flatlined on purpose. The stupid f**king writers purposely butchered the scene so Alicent’s betrayal would be “justified” (it’s not. It’s f**king stupid.)
Every time the writers add new shit to the source material, they make it worse. They’re just as untalented as Dumb and Dumber (the guys who did the Game of Thrones show)
GRRM loved what the show did to Viserys, preferring the show's Viserys to his own. Pity the man who proposed the changes and wrote some of Viserys most memorable scenes wasn't involved in S2. It's the showrunners obsession with making the story about the two female leads that is the root of their problems.
@@arthurballs9632 I was referring to stuff like the scene where Rhaenys just shows up at the coronation, kills tons of innocent people, but then doesn’t kill Alicent and the rest of them. It’s stupid. There’s also that scene that they added in the season 2 finale where Rhaenyra talks to Alicent, but doesn’t take her hostage for some reason.

What really pisses me off is that if they were gonna have a slow season and focus on character development, why ignore every single traumatic event that was supposed to have lasting consequences and its effect on the characters. Like Luke's death affecting Nyra's decisions maybe and B&C affecting Helaena, Alicent, and so many political decisions.
You quickly & perfectly summarized my feelings about the writing with the Mysaria/Rhaenyra dynamic. Everything about it feels rushed, lazy and completely unearned as she is somehow immediately elevated to Rhaenyra's right-hand advisor and spends most of the time, being a superficial cheerleader or suggesting the obvious. Corlys is supposed to be her Hand and they barely speak to each other the entire season. Just a total mess
What hurts more is that this show had all the elements to be S-tier-the music, cinematography, visual effects, and acting were all on point. But the writing, the most crucial part, is so bad that it ruined everything. The show fell off hard, and I have no interest in future seasons or any upcoming spinoffs.
My biggest issue with it is the same issue I had with the last season of The Bear. They took a single season of television, injected a bunch of filler and split it into 2 to squeeze out an extra season. Also the first season had the main women being the ones acting the most unreasonable and emotionally. It made sense with the actions and plot points they needed to hit. Then this season was spent entirely trying to reverse that and make them the only rational ones that were just "misunderstood" rather than foolish and arrogant. They are all clearly awful by their actions but then the show tries to contradict that with dialogue like there is a reason for all of it. It doesn't work. There doesn't need to be a reason. It's royals fighting wars riding on the fantasy version of invincible, reusable nuclear bombs. They don't need to be rational. They can be stupid and brash because traditionally royals are. They care about themselves and that's about it. Trying to make Rhaenyra morally superior doesn't make her not an arrogant bitch. She could have road off into the sunset if she wanted to save lives of the people and the lives of her own children. She is not noble for fighting to get the throne for herself.
i feel like rhaneyra got caught in a bit of a trap this season in which her season 1 development ended but it was still too early to begin her cruel queen arc so for episodes 4,5 and parts of 3 and 6 she was weirdly just an almost perfect queen which while the writers didnt take it too far really damaged her charchter thats why episodes 1 and 2 where her S1 plotline is reaching its peak and episodes 7 and 8 when her actual character arc is beginning are so great. like those moments of ruthlessness when she demands aegons head and throws the commoners to the dragons are so well written. other characters like ep 1-4 jace or ep 4-6 daemon have the same phases
@@lexilannisterRhaenyra is going to lose two sons next season, and she will become ruthless, unforgiving, and arrest Alicent. I can’t wait to see her dark side come to life.
omg I havent been able to finish the final season of the bear despite me enjoying the first season. They are already planting the seeds with Sydney and I can already tell what the ending is. The Fak brothers and John Cena were starting to piss me off with their shenanigans. Its like they think the audience of the show have the humour of a 12 year old. It gets old pretty quick. I have no plans in finishing the show and will probably watch the summary of what happens on youtube somewhere when im bored. Anyway, my biggest issue with Rhaenyra is that she acts like she does not want bloodshed and yet is actively going for the throne when Aegon has already been crowned, causing even more unnecessary bloodshed. She's pretty bloodthirsty for someone who doesnt want war.
I think the issue with Mysaria goes beyond her bland lines of dialogue and the show speedrunning the insane amount of trust she´s given (simultaneously affecting Rhaenyra´s character). My biggest problem is that this actually affects everyone with a relatively influential position within Dragonstone (every character in Rhaenyra´s council), during various moments throughout the season, not a single character stops to consider that maybe, just maybe, they could use some intel on the Greens. That way you wouldn´t need to just guess whether or not Otto is still there or is being listened to, or learn about Cole entering your territory by mere chance, also with Aemond and Vhagar leaving Kings Landing btw. If only there was a character on their side, a character with enough influence among the smallfolk, a character with the resources to even sneak people in Kings Landing undetected, a character they could use to solve this lack of info problem without having to unsheathe a single sword to kill anyone. If only that character had the Queen´s favor and happened to be around Dragonstone for all to see...Ah, alas.
The problem with HotD is that it's girly woke fanfiction. House of the dragon and The Acolyte is basically the same thing. The same, immoral woke shit.

The Sea Snake legit does nothing after his wife dies, and let's a bastard talk down to him. This is a God awful show. The 1st season was good with some bad moment. This second season is AWFUL with some ok moments.
HotD showrunners tricked people into watching their fanfiction. Season 1 was a trap to secure eyeballs. Which is why it was mostly good and at least made appearance of following the books. Once the trap was set and show became successful, they threw that away. They no longer needed to make show good because views have already been secured. So they made Season 2, which is what they wanted to make all along: boring, poorly-written, out-of-touch Medieval feminist manifesto. Which of course has nothing to do with the source material.
@@Alpha23TV Why? Because the lead writer and showrunner Sara Hess is an arrogant hack and a woke activist who would rather destroy the show if she gets to preach her nonsense. Some of her quotes from publicly available sources: 1. Interview with IGN (Aug 15, 2024): "I didn't watch Game of Thrones, *and I haven't seen it.* I think it was actually a plus... And you know, I mean, I read the books a long time ago so you know, I'm familiar with the world and all that stuff, but *I didn't necessarily feel a whole bunch of loyalty to like the story* because I haven't seen it" 2. Commentary for Season 2 Episode 8 (Aug 5, 2024), about Rhaenyra and Alicent: “There's so much in play, there are armies, there are dragons, there's castle strongholds and political maneuvering, but at the end of the day, it comes down to these *two women* trying to figure it out." 3. Commentary for Season 1 Episode 9 (Oct 21, 2022): "I just remember we were in the writer's room one day, and I was like, "it would be *awesome* if Rhaenys just came through the floor on a dragon!" /// Interview with Hollywood Reporter (Oct 16, 2022): "Q: ...she murders a bunch of civilians by busting out anyway … HESS: It’s Game of Thrones - *civilians don’t count!"* 4. Interview with Eve Best (actress for Rhaenys) for LA Times (Jul 7, 2024): "Sara Hess, who’s one of the executive producers and the lead writers for the show, said to me on the first day, “There’s so much of *Hillary Clinton* [in Rhaenys].” God knows you couldn’t compare Viserys to the other one [former President Trump], but the similarities are very clear - to see that the person who is absolutely, hands down, best suited for the job is sidelined simply because she’s a *woman,* and then has to somehow find her way." 5. Commentary for Season 1 Episode 6 (Sep 26, 2022) about Laena Targaryen's death: "We've already had one person die, sort of, in their childbirth bed, and I just felt like Laena doesn't go out *that way.* She's gonna go out like a warrior."
LOL and the “history will paint you a villain!” just a slap in the face. what a joke. Was this Alicent + Rhaenyra reunion the scene Ryan & Sara said “brought them to tears” ?? they’re so out of touch dear godS we might be doomed
It's not even because it's supposedly a "slow burn". Much of the dialogue is cringe and/or doesn't make a whole lot of sense. They also completely broke the barriers between royalty and commoners, even in the way they speak to one another, it's unrealistic and ruins it. While season 1 wasn't as bad, it had its own series of issues. But season 2 honestly feels like a CW production just with a higher budget. Ugh.
I don’t like the show because they mad nonsensical changes to the book for no reason. Not because it was slow. King Daemon is supposed to be charismatic and a leader of men. Rhaenyra also isn’t supposed to be an angel
I mean he gives a big speech at the end and we're told men would even crown him over Rhaenyra. The best part of Daemon was always his relationship with viserys
@@moe5020 he gave a weak 30 second speech. Plus, all season they told us that they hated Daemon and only showed up out of loyalty to Rhaenyra. Saying men would follow him instead of her is dumb with no set up
@@kenchin77777 It was set up Rhaenyra was fumbling the war and they got fed up. The White Worm(Mysaria) is not The Spider(Varys) for Varys would absolutely destroy Mysaria in the game of wit. People need to realize that both sides are not to be cheered for and their actions have proven that and Rhaenyra is going to show why she is unworthy of the throne as well and it all started when Hugh Hammer became the rider of Vermithor(The Bronze Fury). Daemon is vey easy to predict for he is an agent of chaos that wants to f*ck things up(you figure that out when you have watched the Joker for as long as I have).

Mysaria and the awful character assassination of Alicent were the worst parts of this season. Am I really supposed to believe that Rhaenyra got over her love for Daemon in one episode when their relationship was a focal point for all of season one? Are these f**k-head writers really expecting me and the audience to believe that Alicent signing the death warrants of all her male family members is a good thing? Hess and Condal need to be fired ASAP.
he killed her fking nephew, hurting maybe the one person in the high towers that rhaenyra knows doesn't deserve it, then he gets angry and pisses off to God knows where and stays there the whole season, it wasn't a one-episode thing wtf are you on about. Also, she "didn't get over her love," she was frustrated with him because he always did the fuck up and leave thing. (Daemond best character btw)
@@thahitscan Rhaenyra never personally cared about Jaehaerys. She was only worried of what that would do to her politically. Also, she knew what kind of person Daemon was when she married him. keep it 8 but actually move on the story foward and fix the characters and pacing. In fact, make the full show 3 seasons with good pacing and you will see it fixed
Thank you for this spot on review. A lot of people keep saying that we hate this season because it lacked action/dragon battles and that we have short attention span tiktok brains. Uhhhm no, it's the brain dead writing, monotonous story telling and character assassinations.
This show is reflective of the times: it lacks patience, it lacks nuance. It tries to speed run through events as if it's a race; gives us no character moments, and just feels like a waste of time.
I disagree, it has too much patience and too much nuance in unnecesary things, even to the point of ruining characters. This show should have been 3 seasons at MOST. Season 1 is a set up to the war and season 2 is the set up to the war again? The events of this season take around 18 pages of the book, that is honestly criminal. The pacing is the biggest problem this show has, shit is just not happening and they are making us wait two years for more, it's crazy to me.
@@markro1049 I don't think it's about "events", it's about characters. They could stretch this out to five seasons if the characters were interesting and you genuinely wanted to see them just living their lives. Why we had to speed through their lives as kids is beyond me.
For me 1st season of HOTD was 8.5/10 and the 2nd season, despite the stellar performances of the characters, for me is 6.5/10 because of all the writing missteps, specially what they did to the main leads 🙍♀️
Daemon's arc was too much of repetitive acid trip vision quests. The problem is that at the end the weirwood gives him a vision of Rhaenyra on the throne and that's it. It doesn't feel like Daemon anymore if he is just gonna let that god awful vision of GoT season 8 dictate his actions
Jokes aside I'm really glad to see from you more neutral analysis of recent media that you enjoyed, yet still recognize the faults of. I love the various rants about Star Wars and Marvel series, but this is a very thought-provoking change of pace!
Definitely some writing mistakes, I particularly didn’t like the repetition of certain dialogue sequences from rhaenyra like “what would you have me do” but I hate how people are demonizing this show and calling it terrible it doesn’t make sense
What's funny to me is that this show seems to vindicate the opinion that women shouldnt rule as the men on both sides are handcuffed and handicapped by female emotions
It feels like how they ruined stannis in got. They clearly favor the blacks and made alicent the sacrificial lamb to show how righteous the black cause is.
This is even more infuriating when you realize that, what really happens in Fire and Blood, is that it is in no way Alicent who allows Rhaenyra to take King's Landing, but is in fact the immeasurable planning of Daemon, who in part uses the Goldcloaks to secure the city. Which makes sense and so why not stick with it🤦🏽♂️
Thank you Jedi Brooks. I couldn't place what was so off about season 2, but i literally switched off after the third episode. It makes sense now that the writers are insrrting their own beliefs and values into the story instead of letting the characters' story play out itself. Fuck HBO, and fuck Amazon for ruining the The Boys
Well all trade and stuff mostly come through sea as taking them through the land is dangerous and long, so yh a naval blockade of the region is critical to the city, also in other to sustain a city that large a small village can’t sustain it, also that’s what happened in the books so it’s canon. Rhaenyra sending boats to the city even if it doesn’t do much, shows how she still cares for the people. I mean that’s how we got the battle of the gullet.
I thought i was going crazy. They way they botched allicent this season made me lose all respect for the show. I thought i was alone until the last couple of days when a bunch of these videos came out
They’re trying to subvert readers expectations. Every major event, instead of just choosing how it went down and going with it, they decide that they need to play a trick on readers that already know the story. And make sure they pull the rug out from them. I suspected this more recently. But alicent “handing over” kings landing to Rhaenyra shows it. Any event that readers think they know what happened, these writers feel they need to trick the readers so there’s some new reveal. Instead of just honoring the source, they’re trying to subvert the source so that readers are surprised. I have no idea how they don’t realize this is a horrible way to write a story.
0:15 I don’t understand how people are getting so invested in the show that they’re harrassing the actor online. The show is not that deep. It’s never good enough to make me feel any emotions about anything that’s happening.
The omission of Nettles and combining her story with Rhaena will be deeply problematic as the story moves on. Also, Sheepstealer and Silverwing should be much bigger wtf
My issue with this season is it felt like the first 3 were moving along really well but then all progression comes to a halt and we inch along the rest of the season
Season 1 I started watching after it was done, ten minutes in and I was hooked, I wanted to see more out of every single character. I was planning to watch a couple episodes and go to bed, ended up watching the whole thing. Season 2, waited patiently for the season to end, thought I'd have a similar experience, I mean can't go wrong with the source material already there, basically the same people running the show... and I can't bring myself to go past episode 2. Everything feels like an uninteresting filler, just a slog to get through. Someone murdered the pacing and made most characters so uninteresting. They even messed up Blood and Cheese, which was a pivotal moment in this story. That showed me that they are willing to destroy, and destruction ends up unraveling and festering the future of the storytelling. And then I heard that Mysaria has way too much screen time and is awful later on and DEI rears its ugly head. I really don't think I'll be able to bring myself to continue watching this, already read the main books plus Fire & Blood, know what happens, I'm fine with it. Not going to fall for the GoT trap again where I kept slogging through that exponentially increasing snowball of garbage that kicked off with season 5 just because I needed some sort of ending to the story since the author won't provide us with one in written form. And just like that trap, where people kept going "Oh no, it's still good!" but they look back now and understand it's crap, I think the same will happen with this show, just not at the same level of awfulness.
@Jedi brooks I love your vids. Especially the vid on HOW TO WRITE A FEMALE LEAD. Showing how Charlize in Atomic blonde was done very well when compared to Echo which was terrible. Dude why is anybody surprised after how badly Got s7 and8 were handled. Also I hated how 90% of the men in GoT were all sexual predators like what da hell.
I never understand how these Studios invest Millions and even Billions to produce Shows but than hiring subpar Writers. Seriously, immagine you are an Investor for such Project, wouldnt you vehemently insist on having only veteran Writers with proven Trek Records? I dont get it
the show is contradicting the characters are indecisive and a bit more foolish than their book counterpart also having the wrong emotions during war... the characters could have these emotions in season 1 and actually house of the dragon isn't as good as it could have been I actually liked the show but now I just want to throw dirt on it because of its disappointing storytelling and character development
wheres the filler lol? Basically everything is different now Aegon is a whole new character, Aemond is king now, Daemon's character developed drastically, they introduced a bunch of new characters, Jace got fleshed out. Shit is moving very fast compared to GoT. How much happened in season 2 of GoT?
I don’t see the treatment of Alicent’s character as an assassination. She’s always been a pragmatist, like her father, and I see her decision in the final episode as a choice to save her daughter (and a significant portion of the realm) when she comes to believe that Team Black is going to win.
But aemond killed her son not aegon. Why does aegon have to die? Also aegon has no male heir now so after he dies the thrown passes to aemond and he isnt going to yield or let it go.
Yo btw I feel like the show runners never had pets, those things have bad breath and I doubt the dragon keepers are flossing the beast’s teeth so the idea that the riders just stand there chill is hilarious.
The only way I'll be back for S3 is if it opens with Rhaena about to tame the dragon, but quickly gets torched as Nettles walks from around a corner and says something witty about the Dragon already being taken.. But Condal and Mess did irreperable damage in S2... to the characters, to the story, to their reputations. At least D&D managed to make a few faithful seasons before going completely off the rails. Also - Rhanenyra is probably the most obnoxious character of the entire series. Her "stans" are the absolute worst, too.
It seems to me folks are forgetting how traumatized Alicent is. I'm not shocked that she agreed to merk Egon. She was in denial that he would be a good King and as the show progressed she say what he was. Both of her sons actually. So her flip on them was right in line to me.
Hotd season 1 was great. It felt like a solid prequel to a story that will most likely never be bested in GOT. Season 2 transformed the entire show, and it went from waiting to see what will happen next, to praying anything will happen at all. The dialogue has fallen off as well. Just my opinion.
I feel like Daemon's acid arc would've been better served in an episode or two. Something like an entire episode, or two 30 minutes sets dedicated to just him. It felt very disjointed from the rest of the story. That particular plotline began to drag very quickly, and became difficult to follow with it's near nameless characters.
I agree about Mysaria and Alicent. Wonderfully said. But regarding Daemon: it seems people forget that 20+ years have passed since the beginning, even since him defeating the crab feeder. He's around 60 now, an old man, especially by medieval standards. Of course he's not that action driven as before! He's reflective, coming to terms with everything in his life, just like an elderly person nearing the end of his natural life should be.
unpopular opinion but, i do beleive if the showrunners play it off as alicent sacrificing aegon so that rhaenyra will spare the rest of her family (which im pretty sure is what they were doing they just communicated it badly) they can easily save her character. like im not 100% but i do think thats what the writers were going for and rhaenyra demanded aegons head and one elses so i think u can assume alicent traded aegons life for an end to the war and the rest of her family to be spared
Yes, but would Daemon spare the rest of Alicent’s family because of Rhaenyra’s word? Would the black council sit idly by and watch them waltz to Oldtown? Would the other Lord’s and great houses allow the usurpers to live? Nobody truly rules a kingdom alone and it will be inevitable that the question of succession would arise again because of the Strong boys.
It was Aemond who killed Rhaenyra’s son. And it was Alicent who forced Aegon on the throne, she should have offered her life and if need be Aemond’s. But no she consented to have Aegon killed for a chance of life for herself mostly. This Alicent is irredeemable for many and for good reasons

Could be worse, it could be Alicent
@@s1b3r11 I could forgive that but the hallucinations at harrenhall were an abomination

That faux Jamaican accent lmao.

Mysaria: “Somehow, Shae has returned”
Yes!!!!
I thought the same!
At least Shae had real sympathetic moments like her protecting Sansa when Sansa has her first period.
Seeing both of these shows utterly fail in their season endings shows you the importance of having proper screenwriters
Lesson. Otto is always right.
They…kinda forgot

HotD showrunners tricked people into watching their fanfiction. Season 1 was a trap to secure eyeballs. Which is why it was mostly good and at least made appearance of following the books. It is crystal clear that E8 was meant to be the 8th episode of a 10 episode season, with 9 as the penultimate huge battle and 10 as the aftermath.
Exactly what was planned till HBO cut the budget and they had to save the big battle for S3.
It doesn't matter if the season had 2 good episodes and the rest were horribly written.
I genuinely don’t understand how the producers allowed a story about “who will you choose” become “ choose the blacks”.

A Coastal city needed to rely on fishing boats for food because of a naval blockade? 🤔

Also I hated how 90% of the men in GoT were all sexual predators like what da hell.
you forgot about the forced political wokeness poisoning every scene
wheres the "wokeness" when Vermithor ate all the dragonseeds lol? ur brainrotted
I never understand how these Studios invest Millions and even Billions to produce Shows but than hiring subpar Writers.
Seriously, immagine you are an Investor for such Project, wouldnt you vehemently insist on having only veteran Writers with proven Trek Records? I dont get it
I didn’t know where else to say this so ima say it here you gotta make a video on alien Romulus
the show is contradicting the characters are indecisive and a bit more foolish than their book counterpart also having the wrong emotions during war... the characters could have these emotions in season 1 and actually house of the dragon isn't as good as it could have been I actually liked the show but now I just want to throw dirt on it because of its disappointing storytelling and character development
Let's be real there is no side other than, reasonable or delusional.
yea its obvious this was all one season stripped into two and chocked with filler.
wheres the filler lol?
Rhaenyra stans are Daenerys fans
Rhaena be like: "When all your plans go awry❗️❗️❗️ 🤯"
Mysaria needs to be deleted
It seems to me folks are forgetting how traumatized Alicent is. I'm not shocked that she agreed to merk Egon. She was in denial that he would be a good King and as the show progressed she say what he was. Both of her sons actually. So her flip on them was right in line to me.
The thumbnail says it all
Daemon fights in pretty much only 3 battles the whole dance
The way they utterly ruined Blood and Cheese was a major warning sign that this show was going to become a pro-Team Black/Rhaenyra fan-fiction.
"By DE Crown" 😂😂😂
Hotd season 1 was great. It felt like a solid prequel to a story that will most likely never be bested in GOT. Season 2 transformed the entire show, and it went from waiting to see what will happen next, to praying anything will happen at all. The dialogue has fallen off as well. Just my opinion.
I couldn’t tell you a single name of anyone or anything in this show. But it was fun to watch 🏴☠️
Daemon is 48-49 right now
In Simon Strong we trust. 4:10
Guys someone explain how is Alicent a horrible mother? she is just distant. She acts like a father.
unpopular opinion but, i do beleive if the showrunners play it off as alicent sacrificing aegon so that rhaenyra will spare the rest of her family (which im pretty sure is what they were doing they just communicated it badly) they can easily save her character. like im not 100% but i do think thats what the writers were going for and rhaenyra demanded aegons head and one elses so i think u can assume alicent traded aegons life for an end to the war and the rest of her family to be spared
@@moonqueenofthenorth why would alicent offer her own life, its not a matter of vengence rhanyra dosent want to kill aegon but she doesnt really have a choice as he is the crowned king and she cannot just let the usurper live
@@Cappellano its risky yes but remember alicent is desperate and once the capitol falls and the king is executed she hopes that most of the green lords will surrender. i doubt the black council would want to murder every single green otherwise half the nobility of westeros would be dead once they surrendered they would likely just lose lands and titles. daemon wouldnt be happy about it but i dont think hed go as far as to ignore her instructions and arrange for them all to be murdered particularly ones like halaena and jaehera
@@lexilannister if Rhaenyra or Aegon wants to be the monarch, they should know things about justice and mercy. Aemond’s life for Lucerys is justice. And Alicent’s life for Aegon is mercy. Alicent had no thought of those and Rhaenyra had no care for them either. That’s all I am saying that Alicent’s peace proposal was empty and Rhaenyra accepting it defeats the point.
Am i the only one that gets confused as to who is on what side sometimes?
Im confused😲
I’ve never watched the show so I’m just confused in general
I didn't even make it through season 1.
Loved GoT, could not care less about HotD. The animated histories videos were really fun to watch, this show was just plain not, to me.
I dont even remember House of the dragon season 1 tbh. I neither touched the second one
When Jedi said let’s get this outta the way ryt now “I loved Daemons Harrenhall scenes” I low-key cheered 🤣 I’ve noticed not everybody enjoyed them as much as I did
Simon The Based One
@JediBrooks I remember finally opening up to my therapist about the sexual assault I suffered when I was young, and afterwards she augered her tongue down my throat. Just what I needed🤢
I’m not gonna watch this cause I love HoTD. But I agree on most of your videos you’ve put out.
The worst series ever. Regret ever starting to watch this series in hope that it could even half as good as GoT
Mysaria is French😂, what place is that in Westeros or Essos?
Province of The Reach maybe?
Not sure, either way her accent doesn't seem right, it sounds fake as hell.
It's not about adaptation of books to show... the show is contradicting itself a it isn't really impactful or meaningful especially when death is minimize... the characters having these small emotions during CIVIL WAR... I hate this story... because the characters are indecisive and idiotic and foolish... I mean the characters are WEAK
I agree. And I thought the Daemon scenes were great.
I have no idea what their social media team is trying to push.
But they seem very dissociated from book fans. To a point where it just gets weird.
Right now there's some dumb ass post that's aneurysm inducing anout how Aegon II is how Daenerys should have been written as a broken character.
Yes, the character who literally is the center of the dumb AF prophecy they're trying to push should have been written like the only guy who survived being ruined by it this season.
I don't know how stupid these people think we are, but even sh!t posting is an art, and they don't even understand that either.
THESE TWO HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON.
and when they make remarks like that, it just becomes super clear that these poeole dont think about those characters when writing them ..
At all
Any and all good decisions have been a fluke.
In other news, the acolyte was cancelled 🎉 👏🎂 🤩
Could you do a comaprision between the first jurassic park from Steven Spielberg and the last jurassic world?
Just consider the amazing climax made in the first movie for the scene of the brachiosaurus compared with the tons of badly animated dinosaurs in the last movies... ;)
Cole is not redeemed lmao. "I was a bad white cloak so there for everyone was" this season had awful writing
Thats not what he said lol he said perhaps they are or maybe they aren't but it doesn't even matter because he no longer cares, he's realized how worthless their lives actually are.
The first season was overrated, and the second is outright awful.
Great video
Kinda wonder is GRRM stole the story for the first five years and some other stories and that’s why he can’t write since 2011 or finish things and doesn’t care about story.
