I just bought a No. 17128 monogrammer on eBay and will get it by the end of this month, Feb. 2021. Thanks for the great demo! The one I bought actually has all the stick cams in the box, which I think is rare, ha-ha. It doesn't have all those plastic guides, but in watching you use the monogrammer, it looks like those are optional to let you know where your monogram or flower will appear. I figure I can always make my own plastic guides since the "guide letters" are all shown on one of the manual's pages, and I can enlarge them on a copy machine. Thanks again for the great demonstration!
I happen to have a Singer "Professional" buttonholer that I bought brand new in 1989. Still works great. I have a new-ish Singer "Tradition" sewing machine and the buttonholer attaches beautifully and with no wiggling necessary. I'm hopeful the monogrammer will be as easy to use as my beloved buttonholer.

Thank you for the demo! I have a low shank machine but have a monogrammer for a high shank machine. This piqued my interest to see how a monogrammer even works and if the templates are interchangeable between low shanks and high shanks. While I'm not sure about the interchangeability, I now have a comprehensive understanding about the attachment and how it's supposed to be implemented. Thank you!

I have this exact sewing machine and for some reason can not get it running to save my life, is there anyway you could post a video of threading\loading the bobbin, i follow the manual step by step but something is not right and i cannot get the lower thread to pop up

Ryan Mayer It will take me a few days to do this, but I can probably give you a starter for a few things to check. Does your bobbin have a big hole sort of like a dent in the top of it. If so, you can use standard needles. If not, then you need to use the 206 class needles. Can you provide a bit more information about what is or is not happening? As in does it pick up the bobbin thread at all, does it start to stitch and then not work. If you could explain the experience, then I can fine tune the video to help as well. A further consideration is to run the machine very slowly or better, turn it by hand then you can feel what is happening with the stitch pick up.

What is the part number (on the box)
for this monogrammer? It's so hard to find a monogrammer for low (vertical) shank. All I see are for slant shank machines. Quite frustrating.

I found the part number for the low shank - 171278 or V171278. They apparently come up on eBay once a month or so.
