Singer 431G Low voltage motor sewing denim
I have figured out how to convert the internal Singer motors in the 300 - 600 series to low voltage high speed high torque. This means that you no longer need to worry about a dead motor, voltage issues between countries, or even off grid working.

Can you turn off your TV and show some respect to the viewers !!!!!
Hello, just wondering, have you played anymore with the 3d printed cams for this, or uploaded these anywhere?
I really need to see a video on how to remove the handwheel from this model 1040. Going nuts over it. No clue. I have to make sure I can de-clutch it for bobbin winder and not sure how to do that. I think it is stuck. Any help there would be great. Also on bobbin winder assembly.
Hi, wonderful video! I’m in process of reviving a BU Nova that came with a wonder wheel. It is in need of a new friction wheel. By chance selling 3D printed wheels?

Está máquina hace costura recta y zic zac?
Use better lighting. There is always a build up of old oil. Clean with mineral spirits or diesel gas. Rinse off with alcohol, wipe up. Lubricate with Triflow Silicone Lube or Refined Mineral Oil which is sewing machine oil. Lubricate cleaned gears with Silicone Grease with PTFE (Teflon) or Refined White Vaseline. Do not use Lithium grease or other. Synthetic grease may attack plastic, nylon, rubber parts. Thanks for the demo on how to open it up!
Thank you for this video. I had to play it a few times and watch you thread the machine, but it was when you said it was almost threading it upside down that I figured out what you were doing.
Wher did you get your button hole sewing machine I got a necchi bu nove I can’t find one
Muito obrigado por trazer me este conhecimento deste fantástico aparelho nota dez uma época de gênios da indústria têxtil
Cómo se llama el adaptador vertical que hace cadena
I needed it
I'm waiting for a swiss singer zig zag attatchment to arrive. I'll be trying it on thick thick felt to do edges. Just for fun, really, since I'm not expecting any great results. Secretly I'm hoping I can get really, really good with it if I just exercise patience. edit: having just recieved it I must say, this thing is incredibly easy to use and can sew edges just fine. Steering the garment is not a problem. Edging 4mm thick felt? No issues.
Fix your audio. Great demo but audio was awful. Get a shirt microphone. Add a windsock on it to cut out ambient noise. Speak up firmly not this soft voice that we cannot hear. Camera work is poor. Lighting is poor. Good light, camera up close so we can see. Don't let hands block camera view. Thanks for the demo.
What size needles and bobbin does this machine use?
Green ruffle is very nice,!
Would you say this machine is heavy-duty compared to the new singer heavy-duty machines? Thank you
Thank you. Just a note, say the letters B U. That means Zig zag machine.
James do you think this could be done with any Kenmore machine with removable cams?
Thanks so much for this video! Definitely made the manual more clear. I was wondering if anyone knew how or where to go for spool pin replacement? The ones im seeing online dont match the manual or this video. Any help would be appreciated!
When I set it to embroidery mode, meaning removing the foot and lowering the lower teeth... when I put it in zigzag mode or even normal mode, the thread doesn't stick to the fabric at all. Is there a solution?❤❤
Interesting 🧐
Good morning, pls i have this same machine but i have only the zigzag pattern, pls how do i get other pattern
stitch winder stuck
my machine is blinking and cutting off is there anything i can do
Confusing, but thank you.
hey! please tell me which number needle we can use in this machine
Me gustaría saber en qué posición van los controles para una costura recta normal ??
Tengo esa misma marca y modelo ,, pero no sé cómo trabajar y poner sus controles ???
I've watched this a number times and question about buttonhole dial R and F. When I switch to R it doesn't reverse. I'm trying to determine by looking inside... When it is in R does the reverse lever stay down to be in Constant reverse. Please help😊 thanks if you fan
I watched again and doesn't appear to lock that lever to stay in R so I'm stumped!
Hola tengo la misma máquina pero no me sale el bordado como está mostrando
Found one at ~€45. I've been spending most of the afternoon cleaning. Also had all accessories. I've got two 201's. They're my favorites. Especially my treadle configured one, it's so silent.
That was a lovely demo, thank you! You have such a soothing voice, and I appreciate the silence of no music. The 301 rhythm was music to my ears. I counted 5 stitches on each side for the Domino stitch from the rhythm of the machine. That 9 degree slant shank foot makes all the difference to the ease of sewing. Lovely stitches!
I inherited one of these machines and this video was so helpful in figuring out how to work it. I've never owned a sewing machine before now, but I wound my bobbin like a pro. Now if only I could find the missing cards and table
This tutorial absolutely saved me. Picked up this buttonholer from a thrift, it came with every single part & the instructions but I am a much more visual person! Intended to use it to add a buttonhole to a garment someone i know bought and now I can! Thanks loads
This is an excellent solution and a great little adaptor! Is there any way that I could get three of these...one for me, one for my sister and one for a dear friend...we all have our own Kenmore 1914!! If that's possible, please let me know next steps! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your tips, James. Your advice to change thread, which I have now done to Gutermann, along with changing the needle and for a more suitable type, rewinding the bobbin entirely and loosening its screw slightly, have resolved this issue which was stopping me from using my machine! Thanks for putting me on the right track! I'm now going to start making a new shirt for my husband for his birthday! Happy sewing!
James Rogers where did you find the file for this embroidery, I've been looking for them for a long time
Would you share the file? I would love to try this on my Janome sewist line machine
La aguja no mueve puede ser que se aya salido algún seguro
If you know anyone who does 3D printing, it looks fairly easy to me to print something to fix your problem.
So you are saying the MTX190 needles are the same size as the 20x1 needles used in the Davis UF machines (and other brands of vibrating shuttle machine), or did the VF machines use a longer needle? Thanks!!!
I've noticed Davis machines in general seem to be very under rated. They're really fairly good. I have several UF shuttle models and they all sew and work just as nice as any other machine.
Shop adress in gujrat india
You should be able to use the pattern disk with double needle as you would a basic zig zag. But you do have to account for needle position. There are adjustments that can be made too.
Do you know where I can get a replacement for the needle holder appears to be stripped and I need a new one for this machine
En español por favor
Trying to figure this machine out... This is helping.. but even with top tension at 9 the top thread is bunching underneath and then th thread breaks... Could this be a setting or is it more likely the machine needs more work?
@karaross5356 have you checked the bobbin tension? Did you lift the foot when threading to ensure that the Thread goes through the tension discs. At 9, the thread should be pretty much too tight to pull.
Hi James, My motor is a 110V 250W 2.5 amp. Will this work with this? I am so done with the surging of my foot pedal. I have replaced and adjusted many times. THANKYOU
Fantastic detail, thank you
Thanks I have a 403a and I am wondering if the 411G is a better machine I do know the internals of the 403 are more heavy duty than the Rocketeer. Can you tell the difference on sewing even just straight stitch and zig zag. Guess the quick question is other than the chain stitching and the treadle option what would your choice be. Thanks so much for your lovely videos. BTW I subbed and hit the alarm years ago but see it must of been changed I will do it again
