I had both red boxes in the 80's. I know about shoddy number-coloring on the dice. I did it myself. We all did. But they were also poorly made and ended up rounded if you rolled them a lot. Today's dice, even the cheap online kind I should think, are better made that way, but maybe I assume too much. And of course, that's not the only or most important measure, especially at these prices. The dice I have were cheap online -- 18 sets for about what you paid for 10 -- and I like them fine. At least they didn't come with a crayon. 🎲
I still have those dice... somewhere... and yes, they are in rough shape!! Don't think I kept the crayon though hahaha. I was at a Games event this past weekend, and cheap dice like these would be a cheap, great item to hand out to RPG participants
@@IthaquasBane Yeah, that's an excellent idea. And we know what to use for containers now, surplus dental appliance cases. Gotta be cheap somewhere, right? lol
I'd buy that for a dollar! A dice is a dice...if it does its job and I'm all for cheap and cheerful. 🙂👍I love the white blood splatters and the black and white rune ones the best. It will be nice to see the ones you have in mind to use in action!
Another fun dice cracking video. I have never seen the math dice before. Not really sure if they are needed as a normal D6 will do the same job. I normally like specialty dice.
@MoniqueLea08 They seem pretty decently balanced. Range of rolled results are well varied with no obvious bias on certain numbers... saying that, the sci-fi looking one's did tend to roll.a lot of 1s... even more than I usually do!
Thought you may of done the salt water test! See what dice float one way all the time, Im bit fussy using cheap dice as they are normally loaded, I have metal dice for really important decisions in games 😂

How's their weight, how's their roll, how's their balance compared to regular dice?
