See I’d rather they drop it (silent) or only sensor the F-bombs because he swears too much for those sound effects. I understand they have to censor it for YT-ad-algorithm BS, but I wish they didn’t have to
Sandro probably never expected as a SoCal Mechanic that he would have FANS all over the WORLD all because he’s just a genuine guy who knows his stuff. Love ya Sandro
The practical demo of checking out and prepping the Impulse was a surprise treat. A different format from the previous videos. Great to see Sandro in action, he's legit!
Hey guys, great video! Microbiologist here with a suggestion: always wear an N95 or full respirator when cleaning mouse droppings. You can get some truly horrific diseases, including a hemorrhagic fever that can kill even healthy adults! Vacuuming their droppings can also potentially aerosolize viral particles so I would highly recommend doing it outdoors with good ventilation if you need to (with respirators on!).
Bumping this up so the boys see this. I know in the past they have been very lax with safety, especially aerosol and stripping chemicals, but it's really not worth it to take these risks. It's about time they hired on a safety tech, it's a job just like a camera operator, or sound technician or producer. The company is big enough now to warrant that type of position.

This video brought tears to my eyes!!! My first car in 1996 was a 1988 Isuzu Impulse and it was the greatest car I've ever owned!!! After I graduated, my Dad continued to drive it as his work car. The motor lasted for an insane amount of miles with only clutch and transmission work. I over filled it with oil, wrecked the front end trying to do a 360° on wet pavement, got an eluding police, and DUII charge in my Impulse. I have always said, "If I win the lottery, I'm buying a Impulse!!!". I would gladly fly or drive down on my own dime to be able to sit behind that seat again. The instrument cluster is like a jet fighter, and so much fun!!! And the crazy stuff we (I) would do(climb out of the driver's side window and through the sunroof), brings back good times!!! I felt like Marty McFly's white trash cousin!!! Please make this sad man-child's dream come true...I need to take it around a track once, something I was never able to do!!!
I remember that car. I almost bought one, but then opted for a new Nissan Maxima SE (which was a fantastic car). The Maxima was much more practical, but man... I would sometimes see an Impulse and wish I'd been... more impulsive! 😂
Sandro makes zero attempt to censor himself and I hope he never does. I don't care if it takes an additional two days to do the bleeping, this is the magical balanced blend of entertainment and education.
Bruh. The way Sandro talks while he's working on that car, explaining things and pointing things out. I could listen to him all day. Justin, that car was a nice find!
Honestly, I love that you found sandro, he's such a chill homie. He's like a core member of this channel for me now. Him and maranda are why I watch these. Both so down to earth
Car restoration is an actual art. You need patience in truckloads to bring a non runner back to life. The satisfaction is when you finally hear that motor turn over with a a smooth staccato and roar back to life. No words❤
Sandro not only knows about hand crank starting engines that were obsolete before he was born, he prefers them over modern engines? I really like this guy.
Old/Brand new start? "No A/C belt, no alt belt, no PS belt." This is definitely a mechanic that works on other people's cars . (Duh) Anyway, he takes the utmost caution.
We got used to funny and witty Sandro cause he usually react to weird situations, but it's FLAGRANT how knowledgable he is when you put him in his professional setting. Instantly catch the little noise, hints, and things you have to know about comes naturally. As a customer, seeing someone like this is gonna work on my stuff makes me instantly at ease
20:31 Telling of leaks is massively important. I work on forklifts and boom lifts and knowing how to find leaks from hydraulic, brake, diesel, LPG becomes a skill. Sandro 100% knows wtf he talking about on this "leak history". I don't work on cars, but stain history in my experience is a very real thing I have to look at almost daily.
Sandro, always great... He did mention something, I didn't really think about. Yes unhook everything from th motor to start it (pwr steer, ac, alternator, etc). You will get the maximum spin from the starter yielding the best results for the engine to start. Parasitic drain can keep an engine from starting. Great tip Sandro Donut!
and like Sandro mentioned, turn the engine over by hand before hitting it with the starter, make sure nothing internal has seized, plus you can feel for any tight spots if the plugs are already coming out.
Sandro is just a walking positive vibe. Always smiling and every video he has everyone laughing. Really cool to see him getting to play in the shop and that Isuzu does look like a cool 90’s coupe.
Just damn solid, Sandro is just killing it and see him in action was just legit. And of course we can't forget Justin, the guy has really grown and become one hell of a machine for Donut. And Jimmy coming in and tossing out facts about the GTR, what an amazing crew.
My "barn find" was USED as a barn. It is a 2000 Impreza Outback Sport (the wagon version of a GC). The engine stopped running, so they parked it in a field and let the goats live in it. We bought it for 400, put about 1k in parts (had to replace the entire interior). Only thing I did to the engine was replace the coolant, oil, spark plugs and put a new coil pack on it. It is now my wife's daily driver.
I got my wife a 92 celica gt convertible with low miles from a building for $500. Drained all the gas, put a new fuel pump and filter in it, changed the oil and put in a battery and it fires up and runs awesome. Everything works as well. Gonna change the timing belt and all the fluids as well as put on new wheels and tires.
I had an 89 non turbo model, 5 speed, lotus suspension and the checker board wheels.haha it was a really cool car. I was young and ended up over heating the motor and warping the head. My parents didn't want to pay to fix it so they got rid of it:( I really miss that car.
I think you guys finally nailed the channel's formula, this has been the best video so far even though the commentary was made on content that is not as flashy as crashes or poorly looked after cars. Great one ❤
I’m with the other folks. Watching Sandro with a wrench was great. Sweet Stang at the beginning. Respect for the love shown to the tractor. A classic piece of machinery is worthy of respect whether it be a classic muscle car, something from the ‘30’s or farm equipment.
@@GeorgeWashingtonLaserMusket Wild that Donut is taking a sponsorship from one of the companies currently fucking insurance in their own state, too. Absolutely one of the best episodes in the series so far! Very connectable. Very funny. You know Sandro has chemistry with the entire crew like that because he makes the crew behind the camera die out loud.
Seeing you all work on the car, and just doing your craft at the end was honestly magical. I know doing that stuff ain't gonna be cheap, so I am still happy to have seen it even once. Awesome job and find.

Love the Impulse! Took an epic college road trip in one back in 92. Alternator died on a Sunday in Virginia, and “blue laws” made it illegal for shops to work on cars on Sundays, so we had to take to a mechanic’s home to get it fixed. One problem with the Impulse is that many of its parts were exclusively Impulse. Good luck on a clutch slave cylinder! They were hard to find in 92. Hope you get it running.
Those impulse models were fun to drive! A friend bought one when he was going to school for some advanced auto mechanics. He did some pretty minor engine enhancing and put most of his money in brakes and suspension and a rock solid custom clutch. It was always surrounded by miatas and mr2's. At the time i had a Datsun 280z, which just didnt fit in. We got a good laugh every time we were asked if my car was a Porsche of some kind. I really wish i had been able to afford to restored the thing, but a broke 20 year old had few choices. So i made sure a collector got it. His wife lives to follow their RV south every autumn!😊
