Picked up several bottles in VA for $25, and it’s pretty darn good stuff for the money. Still a Booker’s fan, but this is readily available and for a few bucks more than JB white or black, I enjoy it
On the North Carolina ABC pricing list it is replacing the 95 proof single barrel for the same price, $40. I'm still excited to try it, not a bad deal for a single barrel >100 proof. I'd be interested to see how it compares to other affordable, high proof Beam products like OGD 114 and Knob Creek SB and SiB. For reference: OGD 114 is $30, Knob Creek SB and SiB are $37 and $50, respectively, and Jim Beam's line of Black, Bonded, Devil's Cut, and Double Oak are all $27. I also second Gary Edward's flight fight suggestion as well.
Also $25 in Virginia. Better than the one that was $40. Probably changed because I never met a person who bought that twice. This comes in appropriately cheaper than knob creek and the high end line.

You all said this was filtered and removed the fatty acids. Then said it would be cloudy if chilled. I thought the point of that was that it would stay clear when chilled or dropping the proof. Need a little better understanding I guess.

With that , I could better know how your reviews fit my likes and dislikes of both nose and palate . If this has been addressed previously, I apoligize.
David James No worries, Sara doesn’t lie the nose or taste of anything that leans towards licorice. I don’t like a strong banana nose or taste unless it’s more of a banana bread note. Love nutty, barrel and char, as long as hey don’t too strong. Same with floral and to a lesser degree fruity.
Just tried my first, Barrel 000426108. Garbage IMO. Extra char notes just tastes like Old No. 7 to me... just purchased a more expensive bottle of Gentlemen Jack
