      I have two complete sets. I did submit my newsstand copy of #1 to CGC last year and it came back with a 9.4 grade. I also got the custom label which had the cover art of issue #2. No C&P, just the way I originally bought it at NY's "Forbidden Planet" Comic shop. I ultimately want to submit issues 2 through 4 as well.

    I recently had some books cleaned and pressed. One that I sent that I was hoping would grade well was Wolverine 1 "Patch". What my presser educated me on was that this specific book suffers greatly from finger prints due to the dark front and half of the back. He strongly recommended against me sending it in for grading because of this. Is there any hope? I was looking in your video history but didn't see that book presented here.

    • @hobbyhero6973

    I think your peroxide bottle was clear, you want it to be dark so light does not breakdown the peroxide (shield it from light)

    • @hobbyhero6973
      @hobbyhero6973  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct it is clear and does react with light. The rate of breakdown is relatively slow especially compared to my rate of consumption so it hasn’t been an issue

    The first time I saw any of your videos, you used peroxide and I thought the result was fantastic (Ghost Rider #1, 1967). I am now convinced that it won't harm the paper, but I was scared when I first saw you do it!
    Do you have any videos on removing tape or price stickers. I have a beautiful Strange Tales #136 and someone put a 15 cent sticker on it. I've heard about using a hair dryer to loosen up the glue, then just peel off. I'd like to see it done. Also any way or tips to remove slightly browning tape residue? I have a Tales to Astonish #54 (UK/Pence Ed) that someone removed a price sticker but residue remained and has browned. Thanks a ton for your videos, I really like them. I also need to get a hot press ASAP. Best to all.

    • @hobbyhero6973
      @hobbyhero6973  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out the videos! I don't have anything yet on stickers or tape and while I plan to do a video in the future with adhesives there are a lot of variable so there really isn't a one size fits all solution. Heat will usually loosen the adhesive and depending on the remaining residue would determine treatment from there.

    Have any of your loft treated, Immacucleaned or peroxided books ever come back purple and did you see any fluorescence under a UV light .

    • @hobbyhero6973
      @hobbyhero6973  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No but I have seen others who have. While it’s not detectable by light it can be detected by visual clues. For example if you have a low grade book and you make the cover bright white they will usually not cover cleaned. Also if you don’t go far enough in some case like a stain/dust shadow present throughout the book but missing on the covers

    • @hobbyhero6973
      @hobbyhero6973  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think this book would be worth sending it because it still wouldn't grade high enough to be worth the grading fees. Also the Spider-Man 2099 on the wall was a 9.8 that I got from a mystery box.
