    Ariah has a wonderful sense of color harmonies. Like the free way of putting the light highlight.

    I love how both of you captured the sparkle of light in your paintings. Ariah really nailed it! The larger sizes really seem to work for you. I hope you do more like this.

    Mission accomplished by both of you. Glare captured. Color pushed. Big canvases conquered. In my small indoor painting area, "stepping back 30 feet" to look at a large painting isn't possible. I end up in the kitchen. However, going back to the painting gives a fresh moment of seeing it, so I leave the room often. Thank you, Michael and Ariah, for another great day at the beach.

    Wow, two large canvases in two hours. That’s incredible. You both succeeded!
    Well done. I like that Arial’s is monochromatic, which gives it a unity and harmony.

    Really enjoyed the video as allways. Look every week since last year. I DO LOVE YOUR PAINTINGS. Every week, the chalanges you make for yourself. Just the perfect teacher! Your brother in arms made a beautiful painting as well in this video. Love to see more of you guys. And of course , the way you film your painting hand is the best I have seen. But I told you that before. Greetings from the Netherlands. Jan.

    Michael, the sky , feels like it has a depth of distance beyond holding the host of the heavens, the liquidity of a satin sea, upon the rock sleeps a beautiful maiden, as though all that surrounds has become her dreams seen by all who gaze. Highest bidder if you present it to the Gallery. Too beautiful to be sold by the inch. ‘’ Dreams of Heaven “‘ it says to me and belongs to you if you so choose. ❤️

    8:31 michael - center low mid-ground , “ see the lobster running holding a small orange roughfy fish in a single rear claw as the sea otter just about to ‘ catch his tail for dinner”, it is when your brush is there just above the sea otter on the sand covered bottom soon to be covered in ocean ( holiday has me giddy with siblings coming. ; )b

    Beautiful work both of you! I just finished a 24x30 (biggest one I’ve ever done) and it was more FUN to paint big! I don’t know how you guys have those pristine clothes ( I get paint everywhere every time I paint) Michael- take this as constructive; the separated brush strokes work on land and sky much better than they do for water. I just like to see the water colors more blended….This may bias because I’ve always been in awe of the way you portray water I really hate to see you changing anything about your approach to it. But we don’t learn by doing the same thing every time so ignore me😊❤

    • @chamberlainpaintings
      @chamberlainpaintings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks LeeAnn! I like the longer strokes as well. It's fun to play around with other approach tho!

      @@ariahmylesthanks! I say I have two types of clothes; ones covered in paint and ones about to be covered in paint! I LOVE your work; I’m always impressed when you and Michael paint the same scene and get equally beautiful but diverse interpretations. I’d love to see you work a small study into a larger studio painting so we could get a better look at your processes ❤

    Hi Michel. That was a fantastic video! and you two gentlemen did great work; those brush hours are really paying off. I so enjoy your videos. I like the large paintings you are doing. Those larger sizes seem to have caused you to have a new freedom in your brushwork. Watching your hand dance across the canvas made me think. I bet this guy played the guitar, and that same action to create music is now used to create art. Merry Christmas, Jesus, is the reason for the season. Max New Zealand

    Really enjoyed this one Michael, that’s a lot of canvas to cover. One question I had was when Ariah mentioned he wanted to have “some” sky when you stated that he had a high horizon line and my question is have you done any paintings (I can’t remember from previous videos.) any without any sky in?
    I did one one time because I remember some of Monet’s paintings were done like this, especially with his gardens and Lily Pond, and I really liked how the one I did turned out and may try it again.
    I guess it’s all choice of compositional matter.

    • @chamberlainpaintings
      @chamberlainpaintings  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I’ve tried composing without a sky but haven’t been happy with the results. I think it’s just a matter of taste. Personally I like to see some sky!

    • @ariahmyles
      @ariahmyles ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really like the idea of having no horizon, but the focus on the water or whatever is in the foreground really has to sing!
